I think they started in kpop with nct but if u're a kpop fan for a long time you can differentiate the type of music by each labels. Also a music genre should not be defined by the person/group who performed it, music is universal. This type of genre is Hybrid trap (hiphop) & i can see some groups are using too.
YG Entertainment has always been swag, westernized and hiphop... Name it, they have it. Treasure has it all. They didn't get it from NCT, TREASURE is on another level!

I don't really think thats what he means by NCT sound. I'm pretty sure he was just comparing the fact that its a "hoe anthem" type song, which NCT is kinda known for. Also, now I don't like to compare groups either, but if he knows NCT as a group before Treasure, he's probably just basing what he's saying off of what he's already heard. Not everyone has been into kpop for a long time, and not everyone knows every group to start. Bashing new kpop fans isn't something you should do, and acting like just because you've been into kpop for longer makes you superior isn't a good look. Please take into consideration that there are new kpop fans, and that you should accept them and kindly correct them if they make mistakes.
YG is all about hip-hop. They actually the Hip-hop Genre in Korea. Most of YG stans will agree with me that it seems like YG is going back to their roots having that YG Hip-hop style like Bigbang through this treasure comeback with a fresher vibe. Even their B-side "Orange" is about old YG love songs. Again, YG is Hip-hop you can even ask Koreans. That's why they can really rap. Also, other idols may have swag! But there is this "YG Swag" that cannot be explained but can only be seen on YG artists! But YG artists can really also do any kind of Genre!

So here’s the thing, i found so many people say that TREASURE MMM has NCT vibes.
To be clear for old YG stan, this is the real YG sound. In this case, when i hear NCT song i heard they have YG sound on the songs and it’s okay because YG sound is sooo lit. But i kind a irritating when people say MMM has NCT vibes when the truth is MMM is the OG of YG sound 💎
YG's identity (w/c is Treasure's label) has always been hiphop. Seo Taiji were the first to introduce hiphop in sokor where YHS the owner of YG was part of. I understand that most reactors would reference mostly to new artists coz they got into kpop recently. I'm a multi btw & i love nct but as a kpop fan for a long time, this is definitely YG's style & i'm glad they still stick to their roots & incorporate it to their new bg despite the trend of new bg's nowadays.
Fun fact THEY WRITE THEIR OWN RAP and the side track of this chapter is written and compose by 2 of the members ☺️ in short treasure is not just a common idol that you witness for today's generation they're an ARTIST.

You should see Seo Taiji & The Boys group, they are one of the first hiphop group in kpop industry. And Yang Hyun Suk is part of it.
This is their last chapter on their first step series, as they already said before even debut that the First Step Series will be composed of 3 Chapters within this year so this will be their last comeback for the year and YG also confirmed that they will be having a full album at the start of next year ❤️ so we TREASURE MAKERS are super excited of it.
TREASURE is really talented the fact that they're taking part in the making of their songs ever since BOY and now we gradually see more of their names on the songs as all TREASURE members can produce a songs. So I am very excited and looking forward to what the future holds for them ❤️

I just love the progression, even starting from GOING CRAZY, BOY then ILY now with MMM. They were able to show different strengths from different members and it also shows great versatility..

Yes, I commented that it gave me NCT hoe-anthem vibes, as I used that to relate the song to something I knew you liked and were familiar with to generate interest. I'm pretty sure you understood that though, but I'm sorry for any negativity that caused. To other commenters: No one said that Treasure (or YG) was just copying NCT or were wannabes. Not everyone is familiar with the entire history of every single group and company or who did what first. All styles/genres/sounds are shared across Kpop. In my opinion, it's not that important, as long as you appreciate the artists for what they are doing. Let's just love them all. :)
3rd rapper is Yoshi while the guy in bucket hat is Asahi & the guy that u like his vocal/voice tone at the center is Mashiho who in fact known or tagged as The Nation's Center coz during YGTB he's always the center. The first rapper with deep voice is Haruto & this 4 Japanese Line always lit on every comeback.

MMM is probably my favorite title track from them so far, even after the release of JikJin. A song like this is a big hit or miss for me and it ended up being a hit! Also Treasure Box is a freaking mess. I can't remember ever criticizing a survival show so much lol.

So far, this song reminds me of nct + iKON + Bigbang vibe and the combination of that builds a bit of Treasure’s sound (or probably it’s just me who can already hear their sound) The song has a similarity with NCT’s song but it’s completely different, it’s like they made it their own color not trying to be anyone. I am convinced that Treasure is the new step of YG’s music, they mixed their usual sound (which is the YG sound) to a trendy type of music that will give attention to younger listeners.
and I feel like Treasure will not stick to 1 concept. Just like iKON, Treasure will approach a lot of concept and try new things. This is probably why Treasure stood out for me as a multi fandom stan. They are like something that makes me think that they are unique, now I can’t love any other groups like how much I love Treasure lmao.

It's not that they are watching too much NCT... It's in their YG blood. If you know BIGBANG, that's their big brother. And it's not that they are copying others it's how YG is. That's YG sound actually. Compare to their song "BOY') " & "I LOVE YOU" this is more of YG sound compare to the other two. And the beat drop in their chorus, it's a YG thing as well. Their identity is YG. Sorry mis manage is strong word. But if you know all YG artist are well respected in the industry. If you are talking about long comebacks, it's a YG thing as well. YG Artists are one of the biggest in KPop. No hate here just sayin.

Those mistreatment that you spoke about are just fans being eager for their groups to make a comeback without knowing what the company is all about. YG cares for the wellbeing of their talents that they only get them to promote in Inkigayo and Music Core. While groups from other companies are more overworked because they promote everywhere. I assumed you are new to kpop that you don't know what kind of company Treasure under is. No offense though but Treasure is not a copycat nor have similarities to NCT. Just because Treasure and NCT has a lot of members and have a great rapline, they are already the same.
TREASURE is under YG Entertainment. Basically, the pioneer and the blueprint of hiphop in Kpop. Founder of this company is the member of the first ever hiphop group in Korea. There are already swag in their artists. Even YG models and actresses can rap. So, you should say that Nct has a YG vibes not the other way around. BIGBANG, Treasure's senior is the one who popularized 'rapline' in kpop. You should check other YG artists to know what we are saying here, cuz I am already honestly annoyed that people comparing Treasure to Nct because of this song. Treasure is Treasure and Nct is Nct.
Nah, the stilted, quirky electronic production in this track is definitely reminiscent of a lot of SM male groups like it or not. Same reason why you probably see a lot of people sharing the same sentiment as myself. I didn't liken it to NCT simply because it's "hip-hop," that's incredibly vague. The actual PRODUCTION of the song is very reminiscent of NCT. Not exactly sure how that's a bad thing either, I love NCT's stuff which is why this is one of my favorite Treasure songs so far. Unfortunately a lot of the kpop community is young and hold strange label loyalties, having to constantly defend "MY GROUP BETTER THO." I'm too old for that nonsense, to be blunt.

We are not exactly arguing about how good is our group but we are just telling you about YGE history of hiphop and they don't copied anything about that genre cuz they're the powerhouse of hiphop swag in kpop history.
