literally the only similarity between Loretta and the Tree Sentinels is that they both ride horses and use a similiar weapon type. Other than that they have ZERO similarities, no reused models or animations. personally, I like her because I think she's fun (especially when you start dominating her) and her lore is cool.
Yeah, I've watched three videos now and while their general takes are okay, their Elden Ring takes are god awful, which is all too common for the bosses in this game. So many people just don't know the bosses well.
Listen I like this list, agree with most of the options and am not trying to throw any hate, but in no world is fucking *Pinwheel* is ranked higher than Astel and Blood Starved Beast.
I would like to correct the belfery gargoyles. They aren't spawning based on a timer but on collective health values. So if you don't do the most damage on one gargoyle but simply spread the damage with the others, then you get the gank that happens
Awesome vid ✊ I'd rank the Demon Firesage (immediately) below Stray Demon personally. There's less disappointment with SD as we're just dropped into the fight unexpectedly, whereas DF has a fog gate as usual, a fkin GOLD one if u pop down too early. Also DF is basically compulsory, SD ain't (Titanite Slab doe, but maybe that's a point in it's favour). Fool's Idol is one of the best bosses in DeS imo, so many little layers to how the boss works and at least for me it's really fun and engaging to fight. I like that the pillars aren't 100% safe cover, means you need to be aware of where the enemies are and their line of sight/fire, then look/listen for the order in which they're firing. Very surprised to see Old King Allant this low, even if I don't rate him all that high myself either. That attack he uses at 29:29 is borderline unreactable if you aren't specifically expectin' it and is just kinda BS imo. Also, excluding the tornado, his wind attacks look and feel weak af, like "baby's first wind enchant". So many banger lines, esp the whole Gwyndolin entry and 31:13 in particular got me.
Great video, Guys! I definitely agree with Crystal Sage being a pain in the ass. That boss actually killed me more times than Nameless King. From what I've heard, the Crystal Sage was originally much easier but was subsequently buffed, similar to Sir Gideon Ofnir. The Celestial Emissary and the smaller variants are actually another Lovecraft reference. They're inspired by the Mi-go (an alien race with fungal features) from "The Whisperer in Darkness," the story that also influenced the depiction of Master Willem in Bloodborne. I have to say that the worst Sekiro boss making it this high on the list just goes to show how consistent that game's boss roster is. It certainly doesn't have the same lows as the rest of the games, and it has some significantly high highs, as well. By the way, Heartless Angel actually originated from FF6. It was one of Kefka's primary attacks during the final phase of his battle (which I still consider one of the best final bosses in JRPG history, coupled with the epic 17-minute-long theme, "Dancing Mad"). Afterwards, they gave that ability to Sephiroth in FF7, Kingdom Hearts, etc., but a lot of people don't realize that it was originally Kefka's attack. Anyway, I'm enjoying your content as always and look forward to your future uploads!
That’s interesting, I gotta play ff6 eventually. Currently finishing the platinum for 7 rebirth and 16, both of which I had a lot of fun with. I’m probably gonna continue in release order after that, so 3->4->5->6->original 7. Still not sure if I’ll play 8-15 or not, maybe at some point
@@Cytonox Yeah, 6 is definitely one of the best games in the series in my opinion and has my favorite villain. I've actually only played seven of the games, myself, but, of those, my ranking is: Tactics (not to be confused with the Advance games) > 6 > 9 > 7 > 5 > 4 > 10
I think Alex is selling the 2009 Demons' Souls soundtrack very short here. Even though you may not like it you have to understand that Demons' (along with Bloodborne I think but with a victorian backdrop rather than a medieval one, though I would really like to I've never played it because I don't own a soystation 4) is the only one of these games to have a low fantasy setting (i.e. a relatively realistic setting that only became fantasy due to invasion by phenomena from beyond) unlike Dark Souls and Elden Ring which are unquestionably high fantasy, so scoring the game with dooty trumpet music that sounds like it actually came out of some dingy, despotic medieval kingdom was artistically the correct choice. I see all of the footage of your playthroughs therein is of the remake so I think you may partly be getting the wrong impression because your experience of listening to the original soundtrack is detached from the experience of actually playing the original game. At the very least I need to speak in defense of Armor Spider's theme in particular as that's the most creepy, spider-y sounding music they could have possibly accompanied a spider boss with largely in thanks to the plucky strings. The remake's version of that track on the other hand lacks those so it just sounds like generic slasher film music and not spider-y at all. Anyway continue to be honest and not walk on eggshells with these lists even though I sorely disagreed with that particular assessment, too many channels are afraid to do just that and the commentary has always been great.
We both did play the original, but it was way back when we were in middle school so it’s definitely not fresh in my head as a complete experience. I am very much a Dark Souls 3 ost/Yuka Kitamura inclined person that is less concerned with atmosphere, so it’s just not really up my alley. If that is your jam though, I can see an argument to be made for it having its moments. Glad you appreciate our candor, that’s what makes making videos fun for me at least. There’s a golden middle ground we shoot for between obviously disingenuous troll picks (I love sunburned Albino but I refuse to believe he genuinely thinks the Leechmonger is the hardest boss in DeS) versus boring consensus chasing where you know what the video will contain before you even click into it. We hope that if nothing else, people can sort of get why we feel the way we do about all of these picks
@@Cytonox Understandable, most of Dark Souls 3's music doesn't stick out a whole lot for me but the few soundtracks from it that I really like are some of my favorites out of all the Souls games
I think demon firesage is worse because on my first playthrough I died to him a lot, but I got the stray demon first try. Its a personal vendetta. I dont know why I struggled with him. Im not that bad still I swear.
A lot of unsurprising picks in here. Many of the bosses here I'd consider unmemorable or sorta average. I think the new format of both people chipping in where there was a big disparity in individual rankings is cool too. SL1 Crystal Sage was kinda AIDs yeah but I still thought it was manageable enough, but it's prolly because I like to parry him in the first phase. I'd like to try SL1 runs in other games but DS3 at SL1 took everything out of me lol
Every souls game has that one boss that at least one person just doesn't click with despite it being well designed. For me, it's the fools idol. I hate that bitch so much. The trapped floor gimmick isn't fun, the magic attacks hit like a freight train, the prisoners in the boss room are either a complete nothing, or a total annoyance that get in the way, and I just don't like how the boss looks. Admittedly, the magic floor is partially on me because I'm a little too impatient and didn't bother remembering where half of them were. But even then sometime the boss (the real one) will just randomly teleport to a part of the map that is borderline impossible to get to because of said magic floor. Genuinely a bottom 20 tier boss for me

I'm going to keep it real, RUclips totally did not show me the last video. Like I woke up this morning and saw this video and was so confused!
You can walk off the ledge at the back of the dirty colossus arena and he can't hit you there. Just spam range
