I had strep throat earlier in the year and a few days before, I got a devotional from Pastor Joseph Prince that started off with Proverbs 23:7, “For as he thinks in his heart so is he.” He then went into how this verse means that how you see yourself determines your physical health and that through Jesus’ finished work at the cross, you are completely righteous and completely redeemed from every curse of sickness. Also that you are God’s beloved child for whom Jesus did a complete work to save, heal and deliver. The devotional then said, “So don’t see yourself as the sick trying to get healed. You are the healed, righteous and beloved child of God facing some symptoms. Be of good cheer!” I took that to heart and every time I had an over abundance of flem, or someone asked me how I was doing I’d say I’m healed and facing some symptoms. Ended up having some of the most enjoyable set of “sick” days ever! I did take medicine as well lol. Hope this helps sorry that it’s long, God bless✌🏾
