my first car in college in Arizona in '72 was a '69 TR-6, BR Green. very nice. got married a couple years later, kept the Datsun, if you can believe that.....
there's always TR6's on Ebay in the US anyway, but 5000 pounds or dollars will only get you a hopeless forever project. Looks like it takes 15 minimum and climbing.
The perfect all rounder is the MGB GT, if you want power you go for the MGC GT, if you want sporty feel you go for a GT6, usability is either a Mini or beetle or Minor
Lord Twaddle buy an Alfa GTV runs circles around any MG. If you got a family get a Berlina or you want a convertible buy a Spider. Way better than a crumby outdated British car that used outdated technology.
that was uh.......whats the word?......Quiet. My catback being the only modified part of my exhaust is louder than that. Sounds good, but certainly not loud.
This is the best sounding TR& ever! (the blue one).
Whoa this is an underrated video, especially for the channel.!.
Only one English sport car more beautiful than a TR6, and that's a TR5 !
That’s true! My grandfather just bought a 1968 Triumph TR5 PI with overdrive. Feel free to check out my RUclips channel and see the videos.
great car and great sound

What exhaust is on the first car? Very sporty!
I got mine on EBay for 10.5 grand but the seller was very motivated, his wife had quadruplets! Classic english roadster!
These cars are got style!
wow! double whammy. Two pairs of driving gloves indeed!
wow, lemme turn it up and say yeah baby awesome
Is the blue 6 older then the red 6, or does the blue one have a aftermarket exhaust on it, because if sounds throatier.
The only thing that sounds better than a TR6 is two TR6s

tr6 sound good
can you get one in the US?
Funny how in that country you drive on the lines, In the US you drive in BETWEEN the lines. :)
not factory exhaust but sounds good
Mine sounded like that in 1972 (UK model Mk1) and I bought it new.
Ok, but the same engine in the beautifully classic TR250 is so much better. Especially when you replace the stock carbs with Webbers.
the tr250 got the detuned version of the same engine...
mooi geluidje en best hard maar niks vergeleken met mijn mooie Amerikaan:D (open sidepipes)
Great engines, tho I'd love to see one inside a better looking car like a GT6 or MGB
The TR6 is a little too square and straight, the GT6 has far more shape to it

I've always been fond of the Volvo P1800, Ford Consul Capri, Anything 57-60 from America and Trident cars

Lord Twaddle your pseudonym is very apt.
To anyone - Wire wheels vs drum wheels on a TR6 which do you like more? Why?
Drums. They look great and are easier to care for.
... not that I don't also like the wire wheels!
For me, it depends on the year of the car. A 69 TR6 has to have wire wheels. After say 71, barrels or drum wheels fit better.
@umesswitme how can you say Triumphs are ugly? They really are not, and its 'are' not 'r'
wasn't loud enough!
that was uh.......whats the word?......Quiet. My catback being the only modified part of my exhaust is louder than that. Sounds good, but certainly not loud.
