- Yesterday I recorded 9 x Triumph TR6, they all participated in a event called "Molentocht 2011". A ride with about 250 classic cars across an area in Zeeland called "Zuid-Beveland".
The first part of the video you will see the cars arriving at Wilhelminadorp. Then, the second part of the video you will see the cars arriving at Hoedekenskerke.
They all have a lovely sounded 6 cilinder engine. Some of them are with Overdirve.
Thanks for watching and feel free to leave a comment behind!

Continuing the British theme was the Bristol Lodekka bus in the background - another wonderful piece of engineering.....and if I dare say it, probably more reliable than a beautiful TR6!
i have a 73 TR6. I Live in BC but my TR is originally a Southern Car from Arizona. Nice and original. Absolute pleasure to drive.. There is nothing like a British in line 6. Over the winter Ill be doing a number of upgrades including dual exhaust. It's a good thing I enjoy meeting people because everytime I take it out people talk to me and take pictures of it. Pretty cool.
Do you want to sell it?
Few years since my Dad sold his '73 in Magenta (I think the coolest factory color), miss the sound of it when its really getting pushed
had a '72, French Blue I believe is what the color was called. I miss it badly, started having kids and my wife made me sell it...
Shoulda sold her instead ;-)
I would have told her to sell the kids
I have a 1973 TR 6, yellow in colour, it's a beauty and so fun to drive. Interesting, in North America the TR6's have dual exhaust but the pipes are together, where you are they are apart.
I love the TR6 but it was great to see the Citroen Avant.
I was looking at a beautiful yellow tr6 for sell in my area, then I had to go on youtube for videos and then I have found your channel...You got a new subscriber! classic cars > new cars
TR6...not only an iconic British "hairy chested" sports car..the last of the breed, but aso the only car used as a murder weapon in an episode of Columbo too!....You can have that fact for free to impress your friends with..8-)
Belle e particolari
No.2 sounds like no.1, no.4 sounds like no.5, no.1 sounds like no.3, no.5 sounds like no.6, no.3 sounds like no.2, and no.6 sounds like no.4. There you have it. The sound of a Farmall tractor - with no variance detectable by the human ear - perfectly reproduced except for variance in farting antlers.
Probably the best Triumph ever made. But it cant keep up with the big Healey 3000. I know that for fact, as I have both and they both go to car shows, and yes, they DO get driven most weekends, when the weather is good. The TR6 has the 2.5 fuel injected engine and some were modified with tripple Webers. Then they went like a bat out of hell . With the right suspension set up they handled as if on rails. Bullet proof engine and gearbox.
handle? nah; lovely sound, but crap handling on the limit, that trailing arm rear was the problem; I know, I had one, and would do so again, but the 240Z I replaced it with was a better car in every way; strong as a truck and that really did handle.
A TR-6 was my first car. It was a "73" bought It In "78" I was 21. I didn't have the money I needed to maintain It. Had to get rid of It. I was the last person to own that car If you know what I mean.
Cool, I was born in that part of the Netherlands.
Lovely sounds!
My 70 TR 6 had Redline Michelin Radials..I believe they were OEM these don't look good without that to me if so.
I have owned one since 1992. I understand the noises and the remarks (unkindly) of tractor noises! I will post mine on here one day if I can learn to up load. Some on here sound great others rough as F@@K! I am taking mine into get it fixed for a "better sound" - rough at idle - so will try to post after April 2019, if that helps the debate ;--)
Great, look forward to seeing it !!
How missed those sounds
Hello
I am thinking about buying a Triumph in the summer
and i want it to have about 50,000 miles on it and
be from 1970-1978 and probably green. If you can tell
me a fair price for one with my criteria i would thank greatly.
Also do you know any websites to look at ones to buy?
Thanks

That's why when I get back into dating, my first question is going to be " what do you like more? Dress, shoes or a Audi TT 2 litre FSI with 211 BHP and 16 Valves? " and if she says " what?!" to the audi then ill just go NEXT!
The yellow one sounds like a moped, lol!
PI or petroleum injection was only the British version. American version has carbs due to federal emission control B.S.
My gmas bf has a triumph and is president/owner of the triumph club, he built the triumph himself!
About half of them sound like they need the valve lash adjusted.
yeah, that sound at 1.00 isn't too lovely!
Well you say you had to get rid of it and you were the last person to own that car so the only option is wreckage. There can't be anything else, as if you'd sold it you wouldn't be the last person to own it. Or if you kept it and never drove it then you didn't get rid of it...
I know this is sacreligious but Id love to have one of these TR6's with a Buick Turbo 6 in it with a little bit of frame work done for the extra torque.
What are you on about? Since when has a tractor had 3rd-order firing?
Trophy wives? Not in a Triumph.
That nr2 sounds loket à moped
Actually I don't know what you mean... I assume you wrecked it...
wow umm, its a shame my dad own 2 triumphs and yet 2 of 'em are in so bad shape. He has one in green and one in red. always wanted the green one but still he didn't wanted me to own one :(, he preferred to just park it there and do nothing with them.
Come on. Think now. I didn't wreck It.
Well you could have just said what happened... I still generally can't understand you..
Well, I would agree with you but you're wrong, so I won't.
Nice, but no young guy could drive one... Its an old mans car...
Ok. kid, that's it I'm done with you.
They do look nice but just try to find a good one for a reasonable amount of money ? I have £20,000 and unable to find one. saw one for £20,000 and laughed in the fellas face it was just ..rubbish !!
It's a dammed shame these cars were really just made for crap. Lovely lines, great sound, sexy as can be. Just crap......
great tr6...but was there some injection version?
there was the carburators version only???
