  • This was a day hike where I started at the Eaton Canyon Nature Center and followed the Eaton Canyon trail to the waterfall. With all the snow melting in the mountains the waterfall was flowing strong. On the way back I took the Mt Wilson toll road to the Walnut Canyon trail which took me back to the Eaton Canyon creek. The totals for the day were about 6 miles with 1000 feet of climbing. The date of this hike was April 17th, 2024.

Grew up in Altadena and have done this hike countless times. Thanks for sharing it brings back good memories. Used to remember trying to keep my feet dry at all cost!

Cool! When was the last time you did it and how does it compare to now? Yeah, I know what you mean about trying to keep your feet dry. I could have kept my feet dry but it would have taken twice as long to complete.

@@davidfeiler1279Honestly it’s been a couple years since I’ve done the waterfall hike but it looks a lot better now. I think there’s been more of a initiative to keep the area clean. I did do Wilson via Henninger flats a couple months back though and that was great!

Let me know if and when you'd ever want to do the Lytle Creek hike for the waterfalls!
