Unfortunately these Italian kids are better than our national team players !!! I can’t believe we’re not going to the second World Cup in a row it’s unfathomable as an Italian !!!! MAMMA MIA CHE DISGAZZIATTA !!!!
let's be real, if this is to take place in the US then it shoulda been a Mexican kid edit: So in response to all the replies my original comment has received over the years I wanted to clarify something. This whole debate has started in the responses about Mexico not being better at soccer (football for all you Brits and Europeans, and fútbol for all my Latinos out there). I never said that Mexico was better than Italy or any other country. My comment was meant to be mostly geographically related. The US is literally next to Mexico. The Mexican population in the US is HUGE over here, especially in the South West (which is where I am from). Now, soccer is a popular sport here in the States and growing for sure, but it gets eclipsed by the popularity of other sports like American Football, Basketball, and even Baseball. Meanwhile, what's the most popular sport in Mexico? Soccer. Speaking from my own personal experiences, growing up playing soccer in 2000's California, I can personally say that it was Mexican kids who took soccer the most seriously and were usually the best. I never met one Italian kid (straight from Italy) who was the best on the soccer field because I never met any Italian kids! I did, however, meet many Mexican kids who were straight Mexico. Again, this is because there's a lot of Mexican people in the states, but not as many Italians. So all I'm saying is if this was a little more true to real life, the odds that the one really good kid on an American kids soccer team would be Italian instead of Mexican would be pretty low because there are far less Italian kids. And when I say Italian, I mean, Italian from Italy not Italian-American removed a few generations. That doesn't mean that there can't be some kid straight from Italy playing on a team and dominating. Of course that's possible. It's possible that the kid be from any country. But If we're looking at states in the South Western part of the US, then the "good" soccer player kid is likely to be Latino/Hispanic because those are the states closest to Mexico and the rest of Central/Southern America where soccer has a lot of enthusiasm. And if for anyone wondering why I'm specifically referencing the South Western region of the US, there are two reasons: First, I already said this but I'm from that part of the States so I can speak from personal experience. Second, after looking up the filming locations used in Kicking & Screaming, it was filmed entirely in California around Los Angeles, Pasadena, Arcadia, and then the studios (which don't really count, but are obviously also in Cali). All of these locations have high Latino populations further backing up that this should have been a Mexican/Latino kid instead of Italian. I don't remember if the film specifically names where it takes place. If so feel free to let me know because that would definitely count for whether or not my original comment has any more or less validity. Have a blessed day y'all.
Well not now (at least not at the current national team, but absolutely pass the ball to the youth team especially the best youngster in the world right now that some day ago scored a bicycle kick: camarda, who scored almost 500 goals in the youth team of AC Milan)
