Hey guys, I'm back, and with the eagerly awaited Memories Lost Pt. 2!
I decided that I'd use the Schecter in the video as I haven't used it in a while and I know how much people want to see me use it.
So, this version I recorded a while ago but I didn't get round to doing a video for it because I was too busy doing other things. The main differences in this version are;
-Better mixing
-Drums sound better but they are still quite lamely programmed, because I'm not a drummer
-I used pretty much the same tones for this as I did "The Unseen"
-New parts added to chorus and a new post-solo part was added
-Slightly different solo
-Added chugs for the chorus part
-Improved bass
-Slightly altered second verse
-Verse upped from 130 to 135BPM
-Breakdown shortened and altered slightly
-Soft melodic part added at the end
-Parts are generally tighter
Even though I said in the video, hardware and software:
Hardware: POD X3, iMac
Software: REAPER, Logic Express (for mastering)
Guitar: Tracked with the MH-1000 (just because when my Schecter was in drop C and locked in that tuning, and for some reason it seems to mix better) I've since tuned my MH-1000 down to C sharp, and blocked off my Schecter trem.
I apologise that my picking hand isn't in decent view, iMovie managed to mess up the screen resolution but I think it's still ok.
I think that's just about it! I'll write the tab soon-ish, but I have other stuff to do in the meantime so it might take a bit longer. The parts are pretty much the same but slightly different (oxymoronic I know).

ive been listening to this guy since 2010 and still think that he by far is one of the best youtube guitarist of all time for being able to build complex but clear sounds that is lost among many youtube patrons. Best lullabies i have for my daughter and put me to sleep while i was in Afghanistan because its just so relaxing. Musicman1066 thank you and please put more songs out

I learned this song in 1 month or so... i watched all your videos... the only part i cant do is.. the shred solo at the end cause i got two broken fingers and they didnt healed well..man i love playing guitar but i only own an accoustic .. i broke my electric guitar on my desk when i was14... music saved my life.. dont know for you.. but music keeps me going... so happy to get home and play on my guitar..songs like these reminds me of my own lost memories.. ty musicman1066.. you inspire me..

Hey man, idk if you check these comments anymore but if you do I have a quick question. Why is it that you or even killrbuckeye never went after a career on social media? I feel like you guys coulda made a hell of a living if you two would have stayed consistent for all these years, uploaded vids on instagram etc. You both had a good following and social media is a big industry now. Still a fan of you both tho, watching you two gives me a huge nostalgic feeling.

I feel you bro, watched both of them regularly, and still do to reminisce. I'm guessing life, life got in the way. I totally agree both musicman and buckeye could be youtube famous without a doubt, but lifes a bitch. You don't know what's round the corner. With no responsibilitys the world is you oyster, when you hit late teens, early 20s life takes over. Whether it be work, family or whatever ever else. You lose the drive and commitment you once had and don't have the time to practise/record/upload. You never lose the passion though. I'm guessing they both still playing and enjoying it but doing it for themselves.
@@isthatyoumax8397 yes I actually talked to killrbuckeye, said he didnt have time with his kids and wife and couldnt take off time of work to pursue it due to having to work to make ends meet and social media wasnt popping like it is now n days.

@TheJordangaval Thanks! But actually I tracked with my Mh-1000 because it mixes better, it has EMGs. I didn't use the Schecter at all, I just used it for the video people I've only used it once in them. The Schecter no longer has the Duncans anyway, swapped them out EMGs as well.

The drums in this version actually sound real, and pretty interesting bass patterns. I like this one more. except for the chorus, thats my favorite part in the old version.
