Not surprised to hear that Pogba shows up to training late. it translates to his performance on the pitch. The lad has bags of talent and potential but is not willing to put in the hard work like Kante at chelsea. He thinks he is a master when he has won nothing and cannot influence games. I like Jesse because he was brought up at United and understand the value of hard work which is why he is still at the club and has a new contract. I hope Pogba gets it soon cos he will only keep going down hill from here if he doesn't change his mentality!

@Jarred. That is my point exactly. Pogba has the ability to dominate any opponent if he works hard on it. He has ALL the tools. But he was not even our best performer in midfield even though he did his job pretty well this time. If he plays on this level more consistently, we won't be criticizing him. Kante has made the difference for Chelsea this season and despite their loss to united no one can take that away from him. We cannot say the same thing about Pogba! He needs to step up!

I can also imagine that when he does show up he trains hard and I hope he is not stupid enough to rest on his talent how however he could be better if he turned up earlier and put the work in like a £89mill man. My worry is he's got it too easy and he's got a guaranteed start no matter what which is why in the big games tbh he goes missing. His talent is good enough against the mid and lower teams but that extra bit of graft which is done behind the scenes is what excels top players in the big games. I'm yet to see it yet from Pogba.

Where did Lingard say he doesn't follow their example? If he was asked who works the hardest and who shows up the earliest and his answer was "me" you would say he is full of shit. He is just going out of his way to compliment his teammates, but somehow that translates, in your mind, into Lingard not working hard enough and not being serious about his career. Hard work isn't the only thing required to be successful; talent is also important. The fact that Lingard is still in United's team is proof enough that he works as hard as anyone, considering he doesn't seem to have the talent that a lot of his teammates do.

In Jose' interview with Rio he spoke about players that don't have the winning attitude/way of thinking, Lingard is one of those players, but only one of, Rashford is the only young players to have come through that will make it at the higher level, he does what Martial and Lingard should be doing, he tries to take players on and get into the box, Lingard and Martial play it too safe.
