About Project Fame: Project Fame West Africa is a regional music talent reality TV Show produced in Lagos Nigeria and aired across West Africa. The show features contestants from Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria. Auditions are conducted in these four West African countries to select a total of 24 contestants who then advance to the next stage and converge in Lagos, where the judges will weed off 6 contestants, leaving 18 to advance to the semi finals. From these 18, only 15 will advance to the Academy where they will be drilled and trained in the art of music for weeks.
The show runs for a total of 10 weeks, during which one contestant will be evicted every week for the duration of the show. One winner will emerge and win the star prize, while first and second runners up go home with consolation prizes.

Is so funny how when they perform afrobeat, everyone does well but then the judges make a stupid decision by putting everyone on probation. It's a west African show, singing non-western songs should be a norm. You think if you give these Nigerian and Ghanaian songs to contestants in other music competitions all over the world to perform, they would do well?

at the end of the day, people who deserve to stay will be elimininated, they should have just leave the people with outstanding performances out of probation.
It really was a poor decision by the judges. People will vote for who they like, and not necessarily who is good.
That's one thing I've wondered too. Why don't more contestants in the house and in the different elimination rounds sing more Afrobeat, Nigerian pop, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa etc songs? Especially if it's easier for the contestants. The judges can't assume that most of the contestants or Nigerian public listen to American music 24/7 or would prefer that to local music.
Nadd is just a tradition. The judges do this every season. when they get to a certain stage,they put all on probation to reduce them.

+ese oriayo that's why it is called a Nigerian music competition. to raise a Nigerian musician who can make people move and also his music will be played abroad in different types of countries yousuph does all that. He is an all rounder in the Nigerian music industry.
