i liked this song even thou it's dark when it came out cuz it skim's the surface of someone thinking or pondering weather they want to trust Jesus especially when we all have issues and darkness in ourselves and the world-to which Jesus is the only answer
I've been listening to Dustin for a while now and I have an incredible appreciation for his faith. Not just his faith but the way he pours his faith into his performance and song writing. I know this song is a cover and I don't know anything about the original writer but I can understand why it spoke to Dustin enough to include it in this album. It's an incredible song.

It honestly bothers me that not more than 55 people have commented on this. This song has gotten me through suicide attempts and relational depression (Like, serious shit. My parents were informed that I was dead. I lived, and this album carried me. The only thing that brought me back during the aftermath was Dustin. Granted, this is a Brand New cover and they’re great don’t get me wrong ...but I feel a mutual brotherhood amongst the guy)-but anyways, continue listening to great music, people! You’re on the right track!

Jesus, Dustin can push a massive amount of emotion through his vocal cords. So damn soulful. The greatest singing voice in my lifetime, and possibly of all time.
Really ironic to hear you covering Brand New's song... They're really dark, this song is dark sadly. I used to love Brand New but couldn't handle the fact that the more I began to understand the lyrics from their newer albums the more depressed I got. Went to 2 concerts of Brand new. One was amazing and crowd was great right after they released this album(Devil and God). Then I went to another right after they released Daisy... it was not the same. The concert was depressing, they(the band) were depressing. think Vinny's lyrics just got to me. Stopped listening a long time ago.
