Dans le cadre de son séminaire, Akil Scafe-Smith utilisera l'ensemble des travaux de RESOLVE pour explorer la manière dont l'interrogation topologique de l'"institution", que ce soit dans les limites d'une galerie ou dans les étendues d'une ville, peut démontrer les possibilités temporaires de rendre l'espace institutionnel" infrastructurel. C'est dans cette optique que la grande tâche de la topologie institutionnelle est de rendre dissipatifs des espaces auparavant conservateurs, en ré-imaginant des institutions dans lesquelles un environnement bâti équitable peut s’épanouir.

In his seminar, Akil Scafe-Smith will use RESOLVE’s body of work to explore how topological interrogation of ‘institution’, whether within the confines of a gallery or the expanses of a city, can demonstrate temporary possibilities for making ‘institutional space’ infrastructural. It is through this lens that the great task of institutional topology is to make previously conservative spaces dissipative, reimagining institutions in which an equitable built environment can flourish.
