I was in the first class of line pilots on the 757 at Eastern Airline and retired as a Captain on the757. I would have been proud to fly with either of these pilots. They did a very professional job of flying the aircraft. It is still a great aircraft.
As a 25 year aircraft technician based in Atlanta, I have worked many times at SeaTac with Icelandair mechanics. Assisting them during various maintenance tasks, always a great experience. Very solid, competent individuals employed there!
Yeah I get what you're saying but a lot of the people are regulars at seattle so we know whats going on. When she tells someone to line up traffic will cross you know they are about to call you.
I've flown in, and out of, SEA-TAC maybe 200 different times. The views never cease to amaze me with the beauty of the trees, and the water. Looking out of the cockpit window, at the southern end of the runway reminds me of on incredible flight. As we departed to the north we then did a 180 and circled around Lake Washington then turned eastbound and the left wing dipped, as we were turning, as if the center of Mt. Rainier was was pivot point. What an incredible view of this great volcano/mountain.
This video is amazing. You have a beautiful and amazing plane, a great airline, and great pilots. I enjoy listening to these pilots, and that takeoff was awesome; the plane sounds amazing. The view outside these windows is amazing with beautiful landscape and skies. I just love it; awesome video.
Beautiful, beautiful video that serves as inspiration to countless people regardless of gender. The two women on this flight are professional wonders who could be models, they are so lovely, bright, talented and professional. I'm hooked as a new subscribrer to find in the cockpit scenes of such terrific individuals. This is perfection and professionalism rolled into one. Many thanks...to all involved in making and posting these videos. I'd fly anywhere, anytime with the two pilots in this video.
The signs of a good strong FO at 22:40. The captain didn't have good guidance, but was just flying the flight director and didn't realize the headlines were in the wrong lateral mode. FO picked up on it and got the captain back on LNAV guidance while on a published procedure. Thankfully she caught it before they deviated from where they needed to be. Great catch!
JP.....Looks beautiful in the cockpit......very charming pilots! Compliments! Thank you JP for sharing your passion for filming Aviation!! Have a great week;) Greetings.....Betsy.
Great that the best pilots continue to practice their hand-flying skills. Unlike some airlines that require autopilot nearly all the time and then when trouble happens they don't know what to do.
What a great tandem between these two female crew. From the point of origin to it's final destination. My prayers for your safety my dear Pilot in command @Second officer. As always GOD BLESS. Fr; former retired ground crew Philippine Airlines NAIA Pasay
Are you nuts. They use these tiny narrow Brody planes all the way to REK from almost every destination. They have a couple of 767s mainly out of Heathrow. Imagine 7 hours in 3 x3 seating. And they are tight. Worst plane for long haul. Nothing more than 3 or 4 hours on this narrow bird
@@MarkStClair1 Somehow everybody flew transatlatic on 707s and DC-8s before widebodies were invented. The seats are the same size. I'd rather be in a less full narrow body than a full widebody.
@@MaShcode In an era of lookalike airliners, nothing looks/looked like the 757. Elegant indeed. I share your admiration for her tall landing gear, and add mine for that distinctive nose, unlike any other Boeing.
I have flown their 757s. Worst experience of my flying life. No airline should be allowed to fly these long haul flights in a cramped 757 with 3 & 3 seating all the way from wherever to REK. It was fucking hell. The attedents were nice but overworked and service was horrible. I will never fly Icelandair again. Only decent flight is their 767s service out of Heathrow.

Beautiful NB departure from SEA 34R on a perfect VFR day. Good work ladies! I Will be on FI 682 in October, I hope to see you both. An excellent example of CRM with the pilot flying (capt) and the pilot monitoring (f/o).

What is impressive with these two is that there is a call-out check of the route and way-marker points between the two of them..... So obviously sure of finding Iceland..........! I love flying Icelandair. A lovely, friendly, safe airline and, of course, it means a great stay in the wonderful capital, Reykjavik, is in the offing!
Friendly? Are you sure? I wish mine experience with them from Paris to Reykjavik and route continuation to Vancouver in Canada was as nice as you mention here ! Besides the Airline charged me a rip off 80.0€ for a piece of medium sized luggage. No need to say their in-flight services sucks with dry and lifeless flight attendants faces. But yes, their flight attendants are beautiful, I agree ! But all in all thanks, no more fly plan with them anymore.
Nicely coordinated crew. They comments about the feet are funny, that is what people concentrate on. One thing I noticed was how smooth the captain was hand flying the plane. You see a lot of these videos and the pilots look like they are churning milk. I would be comfortable flying with these two any time.
I remember back in the late 1980s when TWA promoted their first female 747 captain. It was such a big deal that 60 minutes did a story about it. Even had a reporter and cameraman accompany her on a flight from I think San Francisco to Japan. It's good to see women in the cockpit has become common place, but we still have a ways to go.
Love a classic Flying Pencil with their wider coach seats with NORMAL legroom/pitch of 33-34 inches - glad Icelandair hasn't gone "mainline US carrier" and stolen the joy of all flying from passengers.

That’s pretty standard especially on complex departures. Autopilot allows both pilots to focus on everything other than just their PFD’s.
