Great interview. Frankie was a great player. Always came out of the backline like a freight train .... Unstoppable. A great kick an very reliable in defence. Wore the big V several times too as I recall. 97 saints would have won the flag baring all the injuries and bad luck when rhe finals came around.
Matt has some great heroes. They are heroes for what they are not what they achieved. I love this series (even though I never heard of his heroes before). And for all of you, who were waiting for it: 28:04 it is.

Great interview, I too used to worship Frankie from a Waverley Park timber bench seat. Must have shared your appreciation for forgotten half back flankers as Matty Young was the other favourite at the time. I think it points to the underdog loving culture of the devout Saints fan!
