- Thailand Railway travel. Bangkok to Kanchanaburi Only 100 Baht. Cheap Rail travel in Thailand. Thonburi Railways Station in Bangkok, also known as Bangkok Noi To Kanchanaburi Thailand Memories was filmed in 2017 and has been re edited. Prices were correct at the time of filming in 2017. The train leaves Bangkok twice a day. 7.55am & 1.55pm Platform one. The journey takes around 2 hours 30 mins. It is a 3rd class journey with wooden seats, no air con, & open windows. Be sure to take on board some water as it gets hot. Refreshments are brought on board half way through the train ride. All in all a great little experience. I would definitely do it again.

Great video Geoff ... now I'll have to look for your video of your time in Kanchanaburi.... love it there and we stay at the River Kwai Bridge Resort... beautiful detached bungalows leading down to the river with a great view towards the bridge ... and they've got a riverside bar and restaurant..
.such a beautiful peaceful town which is in total contrast to what it would have been like for all those poor Pow's x

Thailand should be open to all the sane healthy people July 1st but as Vietnam has already opened I think it could be sooner!
Thailand has been open for months , Vietnam has only just opened its borders on the 15th . There’s no stamped as most of our tourists are Chinese and they are not allowed out of China until next year and Russians who’s Russian ruble has plummeted to an all time low . Great time for other nations to come as your get a fabulous deal .

This video helped me a lot to get to kanchanaburi back in 2018. The only problem was that not many drivers knewed the railway station in Bangkok. 😂
It is easy to get Thonburi Railway Station by Public transport from areas like Siam or Sukhumvit.
Simply take the BTS or MTR to a Station on the river and take a ferry boat to Thonburi Station Pier or Prannock Pier on the other side of the river.
It is short walk to Station from there.

I remember going on a train like that in Portugal about 40 years ago and they called it First class because it had wooden seats😀 this was before I discovered Thailand 😆

A history question.
- What years was it when --RUclips cracked down on videos filmed inside bars?
-- Several RUclipsrs lost huge archives that had to be taken down. Initially, they had no access and couldn't even cut/paste/blur.
Two "probable" background stories
1. Some holiday parties were recognized by their wives. (Supposedly they were supposed to be in another country, not Thailand .)
2. Several bar girls lost face when families saw some videos.
