Keep this show up!! I know it’s probably hard to find motivation with the whole virus situation, but men’s gymnastics needs more good coverage being the insanely underrated sport it is. Can’t wait till competitions pick up again to see some more interviews!
I have heard for years that the Nissen-Emery Award being compared to the Heisman Trophy in Football, but there is no comparison. The Nissen-Emery Award is given to a Senior (Heisman can go to Freshman through Senior). The Nissen-Emery takes the academics of the athlete into consideration (I’m pretty sure an athlete could be on academic probation and receive the Heisman). The Nissen-Emery also takes into account community service as I understand. The Nissen-Emery takes a lot factors to win it while the Heisman is based on the offensive athlete with gaudy production numbers.
