In 1946, there was a Disney short subject about a whale that can sing, named Willie, who is a sperm whale. That Disney short by the way is called The Whale Who Wanted To Sing At the Met. Fast forward to April 2024, and now that famous sperm whale from SpongeBob Squarepants, Mr. Krabs' daughter Pearl can sing better than him. Just listen to Pearl sing I'm Blue by Eiffel 65, and you'll see that she is a pop star and the new legend and so Willie the Whale's singing isn't much so anymore since Willie's singing is already a thing of the past. I myself nowadays choose Pearl over Willie. Pearl is the best in the world! And yes, she just may own a cell phone in SpongeBob, where cell phones did not exist back in the 1940's, when The Whale Who Wanted To Sing At the Met cartoon came out, in 1946 that is.
