We live in the galil, and I have to say our arab supermarket employees were quite the opposite of what Eli describes. Maybe bc they worked hatzalah they care more about human life and had a deeper connection with jews, i dunno.
By us they were behaving as if nothing happened, being loud, laughing, not a care in the world, while we the customers were quietly doing our shopping.
In the days and weeks following oct 7 EVERYONE was so shook, we were paranoid, nervous, suspicious of everyone and everything. You could feel the tension on the streets in the air. Everyone who could, walked around with guns, even just to go to the makolet. It was NOT normal.
So to come in to a supermarket and hear the obnoxious laughs and banter of the arab workers as if nothing happened, it was very off-putting. It made us very uncomfortable. I can never fully trust any of them, even though some of them seem quite pleasant. You have to wonder what they are capable of when you turn your back.
100% We can't trust them. That would be insane. We live here and saw what they are capable of. We know they pretend and lie on a daily basis. It's in their charter to lie to the "infadel"! Yet some people still want to give Muslims the benefit if the doubt even after Oct. 7th? Insanity!
When trust is lost it's lost FOREVER! There's no going back. And how they behaved on Oct. 7th and the week after is nothing less that accessory to the crimes against humanity that Hamas committed.
I don't blame you and I can't even imagine what you have to go through.
You are all in our thoughts, hearts and prayers.

Consequently the narrative in the west did not equate with this amazing experience of Israel and its people, and was so confusing to read and hear all the details of what happened on the 7th and all the anti-semitism that followed. Brought me to tears, brave volunteers who were prepared to put others above themselves. The world needs to hear more details like this to understand the realities of terrorism and its effects on people. When you live with the threat of being killed by terrorists you need a lot of love and understanding to survive. Israeli people in Israel and many nations of the world need this love. The west needs to stop the hate protests and declare openly what they stand for, a people of love or hate. Will you get a jihadist to speak and practice love or hate? Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, Isis and other jihadists have shown us what they believe and practice, is this what we in non-islamist nations want to support? I'm a Christian Friend of Israel. Baruch Ha Shem, I was in Israel April 3 - 11, few weeks ago, on a Christian Solidarity Tour.
Herbst R. From MADA visited us at our hotel in Jerusalem and shared the horrors of not only tending to the victims of the slaughter, but seeing the decimation of his own beloved work colleagues.
My reason for wanting to go to Israel was solely to encourage the Israeli people, to let them know there are people in Australia and New Zealand who love them, stand with them, believe in them.
I didn't have much to give, but gave as many hugs as I could.
My strength comes from The G-d of Israel through His Word (His heavenly email). For this reason, I was passionate about encouraging the IDF soldiers, wherever I met them, to read, trust and pray Tehillim (The Psalms) as King David expressed himself in his battles. (It was his faith in The G-d of Israel that gave him the victory over the heathen giant!)
The response was always positive. My prayers are constantly with Israel.

A lot of Americans are supporting and praying for Israel. A lot of people have questions as to why Israel was caught off guard.
Perhaps look closer: the same persons who encouraged IDF to walk off their posts before Oct 7. Already those same persons in the military didn’t warn their own when they had info about the impending attack, didn’t tell the government leaders when they had this info, and now want to make a cease-fire before anything is resolved and push for an early election.

Catholic American 60 year old woman here. My best friend until I was 15 was Jewish.
I admired her and her family and learned so much from them and was devastated when they moved three states away.
I never knew hate existed towards Jewish people until my 20's. Did not understand then and still do not. Am forever grateful that my bigoted parents never spoke their small minds in my presence. I was free to love my best friend Sarah and learn a different culture from her generous family.
Listening to these men reminded me of conversations between her father and brother.

Not everyone can be a medic, I don't think that's the solution. Sorry but haredi guys are NOT more frum than the dati torani guys who learn and fight in the army. One of the weapons to win a war as a Jew is also to have Torah learning constantly. They are the ones giving strength to the soldiers. Both are needed and equally as important.
The active soldiers have said they do not need the charedim to join them. They do not want them there, it's not their strength. They actually prefer that they sit and learn Torah and daven for them. They KNOW it's their strong suit and have no ill feelings towards the guys who don't serve. They WANT them right where they are- having their back spiritually.
