Holy mackerel! This is such an amazing song, it should be on the soundtrack of a movie!
I'm not extremely religious, but I love this band. I also find some meaning in the lyrics. You may disagree, but when I first heard this song a few months back, I immediately thought about soldiers. I don't know why, I just did. I suppose it is about God, but that's what I thought of first before my other thoughts kicked in.

Would love to see someone make a backing track to this song! Not a "karaoke" version like elsewhere on here, where the vocals were "removed" but can still be heard....a real backing track with no lead vocal.

I read something john said about the music in this album and he said there was a variety on what genre it could lean to as far as beat I guess. So that explains why
Lorelei Patillo first off seen Skillet 3 times, so I have some interest in the band haha. Second, I remember seeing an article John Cooper talks about how rock music is dead to our society and that they were going to help resurrect rock music. You can't resurrect rock music without making rock music. They could be pandering to non rockers to but I'm not sure. All I say is don't call yourself a rock band if you don't make rock music.

It's a very smart business model actually! If you aren't religious you can also interpret the song as a love song in some ways!
I'm Buddhist and lesbian yet love skillet plus what they stand for and their songs... Just cause I don't follow their religious beliefs doesn't matter cause they love what they do and they love their fans.
