At 4:19, I don't know why the announcer said "The Black Cauldron" was coming this fall, it actually came out to video in early August (which is still summer at that point).
Captain B. Zarre Even more interesting is that there is a video release that contains a promo for a Disney Channel concert special. Normally, Disney Channel would have promos for their "kid-friendly" shows placed on video releases of Disney films
@systemoperator Sometime last year, I can't exactly remember. All that matters is that I can feel more comfortable on including the THX logo in some of my clips.
4:26 is the preview that changed my life forever. This is what got me (and the world) introduced to a great movie studio and wonderful man behind it. Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. Kiki's Delivery Service. For 21 years (I was born in '98 too!), Disney has licensed Studio Ghibli's Movies and making them masterpieces in the US. Blu rays, DVD’s You name it. Now it's 2019. GKIDS now owns the home media license to Disney's Ghibli Movies. And i think that’s amazing. (Update 2022: YOU SHOULD BUY THE NEW ONES. THEY’VE REMASTERED THE SHIT OUTTA THEM. :D) I love this film, and it continues to be my First Studio Ghibli Movie I've ever seen.
Ironically, the 1998 edition of Disney Channel's "Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra" was the last of it's kind, ending a tradition that started in 1992 (there was a special where the orchestra performed "In Concert" in 1999, thus marking the orchestra's last appearance overall)
Since then, Disney Channel decided its audience hated classical music and wanted to be hip and in. We have tired, carbon-copy pop music from Disney Channel today.
I was actually never scared of the THX logo on a VHS tape. I used to be scared of the THX theme on DVDs. I was at my grandma’s when I was 6, and the Snow White 2001 DVD was still in the player, and the THX logo bursted through the house, I’m like “wtf, is that the Thomas the train anthem?” It wasn’t, it was the THX logo. I hated the lower pitch up until I was 11, the Pixar THX logo helped me get used to it.
Walker Chisholm He meant if someone on RUclips uploaded a video containing the THX logo, your account would be deleted (until maybe 2011). But it's irrelevant now as Disney owns LucasFilms, the company behind THX.
Walker Chisholm The only thing close to a logo bearing Disney's name up until then is the "Walt Disney (Productions) Presents" part of the opening credits
Chicken Little The Emperor's New Groove Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Gnomeo & Juliet Guardians of the Galaxy The Waterboy Tarzan Moana Finding Dory Toy Story 2 Zootopia How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) Bolt
that Disney Channel promo I wish Disney Channel still looked like that today
I Love This Movie

Sure is something seeing a VHS tape with BOTH the 1986 WDHV Sorcerer Mickey logo and the Masterpiece Collection logo!
@Ethan Desmond Here's a tip: Put a pinch of sage in your boots, and all day long a spicy scent is your reward.
I managed to get Kiki’s delivery service for DVD 2 years ago, I’m so glad I got the movie now
i've got the bluray
I used to have this vhs tape when it comes out when I was 1 as a baby
But in 2011 I missed this vhs tape
How silly of me! I thought it was Melody Time opening with a Live orchestra! XD
I find it interesting that the Sorcerer Mickey logo was used so late in the company's life.

8:00 Somewhere Out There is a song from An American Tail 1986.
It was used from 1986 to 1999.
I first saw this movie in 2008.

0:18 the Laserdisc variant was the only 1997-2000 warning screen to use a lighter green colored screen with white fonts.
dang I guess we don't get to learn Eilonwy's name in that Black Cauldron promo, go on Mark, try to say Fflewddur Fflam while we're here
They're the most strickest of companies, and if they find they're logo anywhere on this site, you can kiss your account goodbye.
Does anyone have the 1998 or 1999 editions of Disney's Young Musician Symphony Orchestra?!
What was the name of the music for the simba’s pride teaser trailer?
I still don't understand why Didney Worl thought it would be a good idea to feature most of the ending of Kiki's Delivery Service in the trailer...
youjustpreviewed well, it’s out of context here so...
Robin Hood and The Black Cauldron should REALLY be worlds in Kingdom Hearts III. Who's with me?
heah
@systemoperator Relax. Someone told me not too long ago that it's safe to do so.
Interesting how they use the Sorcery Mickey while it's a THX certified tape
5:51 Hey, where'd that music come from?
6:58 who used to be scared of this?
Ben Schubert I know I was
you mean the THX logo? not me I was obsessed with this when I was little , this is one of my favorite part out all the Disney VHS tapes openings 😋😍😘
That is why i love(d) Disney.

Not me; it reminded me of the hilarious "Tiny Toon Adventures" spoof. ("The audience is now deaf.")
Didn't know that.
3:04 Someone PLEASE tell me what that background music is!!!
MyPlayStationBackUpChannel Is that blocked from the US on RUclips?!?

Does this release show Pecos Bill smoking?
Michael Harrington
No. Because they were pussies. However, you can request an uncut release of the movie by calling toll-free, (800) 723-4763
What! What's the THX logo doing in here? You know what can happen if someone finds it in here.
Jiminy Cricket, it’s there to remaster the movie with better sound.😒

Where's the Walt Disney Pictures logo?!?
It's not shown, because it's not on there. At all.
Dan Whitman it’s because all Disney films didn’t have the logo until 1985.
