9:25 I didn't expect to hear Seth talk about and endorse Stem cell research and therapeutic cloning, but I'm glad to hear it. It's a cool topic, and could be a big help in the medical field if we get it working.
There are ethical problems with cloning for transplants, but if you could grow only the organ needed, that would be amazing. I guess that's where the stem cells differentiation research comes in.
He has a degree in cancer immunology. There is a whole stream where he unironically gave a full college course. 100% recommended and you can find it on RUclips
@@combativeThinker Sorry but this is such a lazy take. It's kind of tiring seeing it repeated everywhere. There are plenty of cures already on the market so obviously cures can and do find their way into the market. There is a ton of potential profit in stem cell research and therapeutic cloning. And regardless, not everyone in the medical research industry is purely motivated by profit. It's made up of individuals who have dreams and ambitions like anyone else. The reason it seems like we cure fewer things these days is because we've picked all the low hanging fruits already. The ones left are really tough problems that are difficult to "cure".
Btw, because some comments seems confused, the stem cell technology mentioned by Sseth has little or nothing to do with fetal stem cells. It’s taking that person’s own pluripotent and other partially differentiated cells and changing them into another tissue to grow and fit back in their body.

This honestly looks like what would happen if you took Rimworld and pared it down to its most essential parts. And it looks like it was made specifically for Sseth. Based.
That quick crescendo that plays when you click 'trade' is so perfect that the devs must have actually consulted with psychologists to create the ideal sound for tickling the "get your ass in gear and zero the fuck in right now" caveman part of the brain.
The irony is that a game about warlords, "persuasive" employment contracts "questionably sourced" organs, the stock market for those organs, indetured servitude to colect those organs, and the real possibility to go from "supplier" to "provider" of those organs... Is NOT AVAILABLE IN THE CHINESE store Or maybe they call it "Medicine School's Anatomy Practice - 2nd Semester Simulator", so Sseth did not found it...
That's because in China this game is given freely to all citizens when they reach the mature age of 6 months. And they don't even need a computer, because they play it by going outside.
Well, obviously they don't sell it in China. Why would you make someone pay for a digital version of their job, that they don't even get social credits for?
Also, it's not as ironic if you really think about it. Can you imagine if the US had a game where you were transgender and had to groom preschoolers? Or that you had to play as a black man and wreck or steal the most shit for a high score during a riot?
After seeing another comment referencing your knowledge of actual medical science, I just want to say that I'm honored that you have decided to shitpost for all of us instead. I think you've helped more people, somehow, doing this. Great respect.
8:44 Why do you hurt me so Sseth? Why did Abe have to die? His wife was infertile. He fought against the declining birthrates of Japan so others could have what he coul never. He was a truly selfless hero.
A "neat" detail that was added to the last Cyberpunk TTRPG was that in that universe medicine technology was developed enough that it was cheaper to clone one of your missing organs than to have a transplant from another person.
The perks of med school, and the genuine curiosity of a kid and a space wagie, compressed with glorious OST altogether to form a cellular shitpost of a game. Will play it someday 🧠👌 When Sseth said that it needs at least an identical twin for compatible organ usage, I thought what if they can 3D print an organ, and coming from a "genome sequencing" test data, they can make clones out of water, glucose and resin... it reallt kicks up the scifi LORE

9:25 As someone who is procrastinating on my stem cell PowerPoint project for using biomaterials to create stem cells in a damaged or scarred area (only to for the stem cells to convert back into regular cells when the biomaterials degrade) just to watch a new sseth video, this one hit close to home. Never knew that sseth was a cancer immunologist until now thanks to the comments.
What are the fucking odds?!
I thought the title was another clever joke that would be appended with the actual name of the game, I was not prepared to see it on the titlescreen. What a fucking masterpiece.
I just thought it was going to be Rimworld.
And that’s why it never will.
There is no profit in cures.
@@pirig-gal Ethical problems this, ethical problems that... just give me my flesh already!
Btw, because some comments seems confused, the stem cell technology mentioned by Sseth has little or nothing to do with fetal stem cells. It’s taking that person’s own pluripotent and other partially differentiated cells and changing them into another tissue to grow and fit back in their body.
This is the future the intergalactic space-libertarians want

Correction: this is the future the ordinary libertarians want.
This is the reality, Klaus Schwab will give you.

Finally, the sequel to Seths immunology lecture
Sseth on his way to calmly describe the most stressful possible human experience beside war
I like how Sseth almost always foreshadows his future videos by showing small portions of them in other vids
Yeah, I remember the hint reminding me that I should play this game but sadly didn't actually end up playing it.
I always forget that Seth is actually a super smart medicine man
That Ugandan Associate's Degree of Witchcraft is paying off.
this is the first time I've seen Sseth actually use his degree in his line of work

Finally a game that portrays my country well, as a brazilian i feel really happy seeing this beautiful homage to my home country ❤

Finally a game befitting of Sseth's skillset
I saw this game before it was released. Went to the steam discussions page. Several of the threads inside were "Did you guys make this game just for Sseth?"
Regardless of the answer, here we are. It worked, whether or not it was intended.
5:02 - "Somebody slid into the ship lining--we're bleeding oxygen. Get me a Kidney to patch up this hole."
This people have flesh-crafted space ships??? Body horror ships?
Sseth one day will be digitized , he shall become an AI Vtuber turning the tides of indie game and organ sales.
This honestly looks like what would happen if you took Rimworld and pared it down to its most essential parts. And it looks like it was made specifically for Sseth. Based.
Based on the title, I thought it would be about Rimworld, especially since they released a console trailer today.
organ harvesting was also the 3rd most effective way to make money in space station 13, behind gambling and stealing the budget with the hop's ID card
Sseth going full medical mode like he did on his immunology streams really takes me back. What a great video :)
Happy for Mandalore and his two children ❤️

That quick crescendo that plays when you click 'trade' is so perfect that the devs must have actually consulted with psychologists to create the ideal sound for tickling the "get your ass in gear and zero the fuck in right now" caveman part of the brain.
You can hear the joys in Sseth's voice.
Moloch was proud.
Glad to hear Mandalore's doing well.
And Sseth too I guess.
As a doctor myself, I am very surprised with your knowledge of transplantation drawbacks. Truly, a gem of men

The irony is that a game about warlords,
"persuasive" employment contracts
"questionably sourced" organs,
the stock market for those organs,
indetured servitude to colect those organs,
and the real possibility to go from "supplier" to "provider" of those organs...
Is NOT AVAILABLE IN THE CHINESE store
Or maybe they call it "Medicine School's Anatomy Practice - 2nd Semester Simulator", so Sseth did not found it...
That's because in China this game is given freely to all citizens when they reach the mature age of 6 months. And they don't even need a computer, because they play it by going outside.
@rеtаrd Damn, it must be hard to be so retarded.
Well, obviously they don't sell it in China. Why would you make someone pay for a digital version of their job, that they don't even get social credits for?
I missed the memo, since when is Epic games, the "Chinese Store"?
Also, it's not as ironic if you really think about it.
Can you imagine if the US had a game where you were transgender and had to groom preschoolers? Or that you had to play as a black man and wreck or steal the most shit for a high score during a riot?
I remember hearing the devs putting in kinect support for the game and offering a cash bounty for the first person to beat the game using it.
Egy kibebaszott hős
as soon as I saw this game existed I knew seth would make a video on it. It's on gamepass right now I think. That's how I tried it
A "neat" detail that was added to the last Cyberpunk TTRPG was that in that universe medicine technology was developed enough that it was cheaper to clone one of your missing organs than to have a transplant from another person.
The perks of med school, and the genuine curiosity of a kid and a space wagie, compressed with glorious OST altogether to form a cellular shitpost of a game. Will play it someday 🧠👌
When Sseth said that it needs at least an identical twin for compatible organ usage, I thought what if they can 3D print an organ, and coming from a "genome sequencing" test data, they can make clones out of water, glucose and resin... it reallt kicks up the scifi LORE
Pretty sure there's an organ farm somewhere in "REDACTED" since it's too big of an idea to let go. Garden of organs, they should put a painting near it so the painting can offset the bizarreness of the farm.
@@m0n4rch911 Coming from someone usernamed as Bacon, I guess mental stability offers cheap, efficient maintenance to both customers and organ 'donors' respectively. Perhaps Goya's Saturn painting or Francis Bacon's popes...
@@oujimandias6485 Uhm , that should work. Since its pretty much rough to drown out the stench of death. Imagine seeing an organ farm, vats of its in a line. A vat line of kidneys, or a line of intestines in tubes then the gardener steps in and just ignore you completely coz he/she is pretty much dead inside for working in there for too long and they see people as just organs. When they see you they just see organs. So your gonna need a very calming painting. Landscape maybe?

Its not even been 24 hours since it came out and I already watched it 5 times
Something about this guy is just charming as hell
As an aside, while Mentaur's deals are shit, they do give you a good amount of prestige for fulfilling them. This is a bit like someone mugging you, and you throwing a gold brick in their face. And then doing it five more times on five non-consecuative occasions.
Mentaur's pretty obviously the guy who makes a living exploiting people because if he says you're cool then everyone else thinks you're cool.
From Sseths description the it's a game of making sure the checklist is adhered to, under time pressure and with constantly increasing difficulty. I'd name it Organs, Please, but Lucas Pope probably wouldn't be too happy about it.
I decided to get this game and let me tell you, the ending where you "help" is exactly what I wanted from this game. Its like seeing extreme poverty and deciding to coat the earth in liquid gold.
But... Liquid gold is really hot.
Oh God...
The only reason I ever knew of this game before Sseth is because you can unironically play this game with a Wii Remote controller which was such a bizzare thing that i bought the game just because of that
This must be what the "Partial Controller Support" category on steam actually means

I like how Sseth immediately slips into doctor mode when talking about organ transplants. I forgot he's actually quite shy out of character.
