Yep it’s fixable. They’re just polished lips with clear coat so if you strip the clear off and then sand through it all they’ll be fine. Barrels usually need some sand blasting and repainting
I’ve never had much luck with them if they were really stuck. Too much salt/corrosion in this area. I’ve done almost 20 sets of this style of two piece wheel and only two sets have ever come apart easily.

Hey buddy, good video very appreciative. Only question i have is your bolts were already loose. My bolt snapped, should i heat the barrels first?

what do you use to sand the lips for pitting? by hand or with a rotating buffer tool?
DA sander. I’ve tried some of the buff and blend discs for polishers but they don’t seem to cut fast enough.

They don’t need to be cleared but if you want a lower maintenance wheel then yes they should be.

They’re m7x24 bolts. I buy the titanium replacement bolts wholesale in large quantities and resell them, I do not have gold though
