Once a month Haad Rin Beach attracts thousands of people from around the world who want to dance and drink until sunrise at one of these amazing full moon parties.
We attended The Full Moon Party in Koh Phangan in October 2022 and had a brilliant night. The atmosphere was amazing. We danced and drank but didn’t last until sunrise.

Mn.. I was there for the full moon till 6:30am tripping. We ended up Cleaning the beach along with few tourist. It was a great experience 🥳🥳

Is there a main sound system/dance floor? Or is it lots of little bars with their music all overlapping into a horrible cacophonous noise?

I think most dates will be busy but the dry season is from December to March, meaning there's less chance of rain.

We are planning for the 5th April party. Got the date from the schedule available online. Can you tell me what time the party starts?
Is 5th April Party considered from 12AM 4th April night or it starts on 5th April and goes till 6th April?
Normally the party on the beach starts in the evening at about 7pm.

Hy we are planning to go on 31st dec to koh phầngan to attend party..we will stay in koh Samui..could you please tell how long the party will continue and the return ferry timings from koh phẳngan to koh samui
I think the party goes on until about 9am. Here's a link to some fo the ferry times. There might be earlier ferries but I am not sure about it as I've never stayed in Koh Samui and travelled over there afterwards. i've always stayed in Koh Phangan.

Yes there are lots of other parties. Not as big as the full moon party but still fun.

is it safe to go as two young female travellers? I’ve heard that the full moon parties can get quite dangerous
Hi Anna. I think it's safe but like anywhere I'd always say just make sure you stick together.

It`s really sad to se how Koh phangan have beed ruined ... late 90`s and before 2003 it was magic... Maffia ruled the island and all was about love, noone drank alkohol and hugging everyone was standard.. nowdays its the average people gouing there and it really sucks
The ecstasy back then probably explains all of the hugging.
