- Hey folks, what is going on. Got an all new Naruto "what if" battle video by the great @Swagkage that I react to for you folks today. This video was very interesting to listen to and this matchup was a challenge to get a grasp of. Do you think Itachi defeats Orange Mask Obito? I hope you folks enjoy my reaction as well as my own thoughts on the matchup. I love your reactions, I still can’t believe that people think Itachi could stomp obito. Even narratively speaking it doesn’t make sense for a villain to be weaker then last villain in a shonen. Villains are supposed to one up each other. I think people don’t realize just because this character is your favorite means they win ever fight. Like obito is my favorite character and I’m not about to say orange mask obito could beat Madara that’s just ridiculous. In versus battle there shouldn’t be a bias, that’s why I like your channel we know your opinions yet you don’t let that conflict with the actual facts.
Idk man. Orange Mask Obito, I think, still handles Itachi pretty well. I think adding the other Kamui might turn it into a stomp. Kabuto did summon the entire Akatsuki and Orange Mask Obito didn't even bat an eye. We've seen examples of Uchiha using both mangekyo at the same time before, Sasuke for example, so there's really nothing to stop him from staying intangible while using the ranged kamui.
Edit: Also I think Ameterasu vs the Nine Tails is interesting but personally I think Kurama would speed blitz and murder rape Itachi before that happens.

@@s.a9764 if we even assume Itachi can constantly tank bijuu bombs from kurama then he'd be stuck doing that and Obito swoops right in and dicks on him. Plus Itachi can't seal Obito if he can't hit him. Kamui is really a hard counter to most of what Itachi can dish out. His only chance is genjutsu and I'm not convinced that it'll work against any version of Obito.

In my opinion Itachi is one of the most Unique and Influential characters from the series. The thing that people underestimate about Itachi fights/encounters, isn't just his power, (it's mainly writters or Kishimoto's fault for making itachi seem or to look very powerful throughout the series) but how smart and intelligent he is during various situations, he never, ever underestimates his opponents because of his composure and his way of being, the level of thinking he's on honestly dwars most people in the series, with only people like Minato and Shikaku comparable with him. More precisly, Itachi isn't just an ordinary Shinobi also, he pretty much knows and he's also aware that all strong opponents have weaknesses (including himself), and he specializes in finding those "weaknesses" and exploiting them ("*Even the strongest of opponents always has a weakness*" - Uchiha Itachi) because he's that type of character who can exceed almost any expectations. Itachi is very unique and authentic, especially in the factor of facing various encounters approach, his unpredictability in his way of fighting style approach it's his key factor in all of his encounters. Being blind or nearly blind has never slowed him down (especially when he's pretty much serious, but that's the point, he has never go all out against anyone during the series xD) and I would say Itachi and Madara has more experience killing an Uchiha then anyone else in existence. Kamui is one hell of a Trump card but Itachi it's that type of character who can exceed almost any expectations. (at least that's what we were shown in the anime by the creator Masashi Kishimoto). If anyone can think of a counter, it is him, just like Minato did it. This is a battle I would like to see. The only advantage I give Obito is the fact Itachi doesn't know everything about him. The second Itachi knows, you are screwed because he plans for everything. The reason I say that is because when Sasuke got Itachi eyes implemented the 1st thing that happened was Amaterasu automatically activated and burned Obito. Even Obito said if Itachi had known everything about him he would be dead right now. Moral of the story, never underestimate Itachi. He did more sick then most healthy ninjas do in their entire life. In my opinion No One should underestimate such an unpredictable Shinobi like Itachi, even Madara (I won't say that Itachi can beat him, but at least he will be pretty much able to put a decent fight that Madara will also be impressed in my opinion). Also how can they even consider that Totsuka Blade it's slow when no such speed feat has been shown through the Shippuden that state it that it is slow? All of you are assuming it to be slow it may not be the case... Its not that the sword is unavoidable but it clearly has a very long range and is a very long blade. If you look at the manga, Naruto, Bee and Itachi are all relatively small from Nagato's point of view, and you can see the Totsuka Blade extending all the way from Itachi, piercing through Nagato, and still managing to nearly pop out toward the reader out of the page. I would say its fast because Kabuto coudldn't even react to it, and its not like Nagato was completely immobile to the point that he couldn't sidestep the blade. Also, Kabuto controlling people from far away is never stated to inhibit the Edos' reaction speed in any way. Being controlled by someone thousands of miles away didn't stop the Third Raikage from dodging KCM Naruto's Rasenshuriken. And as for Orochimaru, the sword struck him in between syllables of a word during his speech. I think that that is pretty fast. Pair the Totsuka Blade with a good feint and its lethal because its ethereal, meaning it can pierce through any object. If the sword didn't live up to its reputation then Orochimaru wouldn't seek it out. People need to stop downplaying and denying the very clear speed feats of Totsuka. There is no room for interpretations here. The advantage of being an Uchiha, especially for Itachi and Madara, is that during an encounter against them, they always have a counter because of their unpredictable way of fighting factor, they don't run out of options or techniques, they almost always have a counter in their arsenal, even forbidden jutsus seems irrellevant against them, only a few Uchihas know a certain way to approach the situation with a certain and effective technique, that's why is hard/difficult to fight against them in my opinion. ☯️ 🤷♂️
I think you made a very good analysis, however I think you may have made a mistake on the nine tails being killed by Amaterasu, considering it’s been shown that nine tails chakra can’t be hurt by it, that’s why it doesn’t affect naruto but otherwise yeah I agree
I think what you're talking about is when Naruto removed some of his nine tails cloak to avoid Amaterasu; the nine tails chakra was still being burned; Naruto just separated some of that chakra from his body and let it burn out on its own
Kurama has shown the ability to manifest chakra around himself. He can do that to counter amaterasu. Also, Gyuki is not as fast as Kurama. So Kurama might be able to dodge Amaterasu and a bijuu dama will be enough for him.
Kurama literally said if he gets hit by amatersu it’s wraps

I see what your saying about amaterasu against kyubi,but the kyubi can shroud his chakra around his body that can glob of amaterasu, if it lands it would hurt,but thr ninetails would live he can manifest himself as his own chakra and hes much more smarter and faster than gyuki

we saw obito get caught off gaurd be amaterasu and deal with it easy (when sasuke woke up after the itachi fight). THe only way for itachi to win would be if he's fast enough to blitz obito before he activates kamui, which wont happen
Now that I think about it, It's nothing about itachi being weak, It's just that obito is the best counter to itachi, in short: itachis worst opponent is obito since Kamui pretty much counters 90% of itachis arsenal. I feel like itachi can keep up or do well against characters that are even stronger than obito but not obito himself because of kamui.

@@piuuluaki4154 Thank you for asking this question. No matter how many times it is shown in the story, fans will still believe such a blatant lie. For every quote that fans misinterpret as Obito fearing Itachi, there are moments like when Kabuto revived Itachi, Deidara, Sasori, Kakuzu, and NAGATO and Obito was confident he would crush them until Kabuto pulled out Madara. You can either interpret this scene as him bluffing or him being serious.
However, regardless of how you see it, there is enough evidence to prove that he could do it with his Rinnegan because of his fights with a much more powerful Naruto with a new cloak, Kakashi with crazy chakra + Kamui (way above Pain arc) and 7 gates Guy. If you really watch the fight, while they were using their strongest jutsu, all he had to do was grab Naruto and Kamui. He's just too good for Itachi. Plus, his genjutsu feats are higher than Itachi, and Madara's feats are higher than both of them. There is a hierarchy in the Uchiha

I definitely disagree with you about DMS Obito vs either version of Itachi. Obito can counter everything with Kamui by just phasing through all of Itachi’s attacks, while also using long range Kamui to negate jutsu and the Susanoo. Ppl also forget when both of Obito’s eyes are working in conjunction with each other Kamui is WAYYYYY faster, so him using long range Kamui is A LOT more deadly and his intangibility is faster too. Itachi my favorite character too bro but Kamui is just super broken and hard to deal with in a battle man lol. Your point about using Amaterasu against Kurama was fair cuz I actually thought about that way earlier when Swag spoke about white mask Obito with the 6 jinchuriki. However, that still doesn’t win him the fight because Obito himself with just Kamui is a handful.
Illness or no illness, itachi doesn't have the raw strength and physical build to swap hands(or jutsu) for more than a few minutes. However he sits with only a handful of others to keep him company atop the Gigabrain totem pole. While not physically capable to solo juubito/(insert choice op character), there's no question he could quickly formulate a strategy and guide the chosen forces in the carrying out of said strategy.
A few minutes? Lmao that’s being generous to Itachi, Obito in base created a fire style Jutsu that’s bigger than the Juubi and matched Madara’s in terms of size, Itachi’s Fire style Jutsu is a pebble in comparison and he would honestly just get one-shotted if he doesn’t pull out the Susanoo in time. Obito is also at the top of that totem pole in terms of intelligence, he fooled Itachi with the Madara persona.

Here’s the fight I think is the most competitive. White mask Obito vs Itachi. Here’s the other battles first with no debate. Juubito > Itachi, Itachi > yellow mask Obito , Itachi > Orange Mask Obito. Now White mask with biju against alive Itachi. Itachi doesn’t have the stamina to kill the Biju and Obito. It would have to be either or. Edo Itachi is no defying the Biju with Amatarsu and Susanoo. Then figuring out Kamui weakness by analyzing Obito while fighting him. They are very much on par with each other in hand to hand and I’ll definitely argue that. Him with the fan will be a big problem but Itachi also has Susanoo armor so that’s not gonna be to much of problem. As good at Genjustu as Obito is Itachi is still slight better, so they could get into a light genjutsu battle. If it’s dragged out I see Itachi sealing Obito with Tosuka blade. Also if Obito uses Rinnigan Abilities Itachi would counter it. He also just observed and fought pain so he has an idea of how his abilities work. Obito would tire his self out trying to use the rinnigan abilities. Edo Itachi > White mask Obito and six biju , White mask obito and six Biju < Alive Itachi.
I don't think amaterasu could really damage singnificantly the Nine tail, but if soupe et least create an oppening for him to attack with genjutsu
I really like how you tell say it's more competitive cause I feel like so many people say x character stomps. When I feel like with naruto and how it's not just who can make the bigger blast. Every fight is acctually close and people can do well even with massive power gap. Naruto and sasuke against zabuza. Shikamaru vs hidan, konan vs obito and kakashi vs like anyone in shippuden are great examples.
Sure. When characters have prep time they can close the gap with stronger fighters, however in vs debates there's no prep time. Also, sometimes it doesn't matter how much prep you have you can't overcome such a vast difference in power.

I love your reaction and agree with most of them but the problem I have is when you say for example that Obito wins 8 out of 10 times but you don't actually say how Itachi could win those 2 times you just say that he would I'm not saying he won't or will I just wanna know how he would win those 2 out of 10 times you see?

I'll be honest. I think Itachi beats yellow mask Obito most of the time and he can probably beat orange mask Obito depending on what exactly happens. the first thing to note, his most impressive showings are from his edo form which as we know from the Madara incident is substantially nerfed in terms of physical stats. now I really doubt it affects him as much as it affects freakin madara, but madara got beat by edo hashirama. But when he got revived and lost BOTH RENNIGEN, he went on to no diff Hashirama and Sasuke. so in that instance, the physical nerf was more substantial than the amp two rinnegan. Now I doubt it's as big a deal in Itachi's case but even if you say it's a physical nerf that's the same caliber as saying his MS being downgraded to a plane old Sharingan (which is on the generous side for Obito I think) I think it's extremely unfair to say prime Itachi is anything less than relative to Obito. and if you want something a little more concrete. killer bee reacts to and moves fast enough to save Aye from jonin Minato from across the battlefield, Kisame absolutely dicked on Bee, and Kisame wouldn't even fight Itachi when he pulled his MS out. now I'm not saying he might be as fast as Hokage Minato but he should be able to react comfortably. I mean I know it's two steps removed, but it's two very large steps removed in a positive direction for Itachi in this case. and for those who say Obito scales directly to Minato, no he doesn't. there were two exchanges in the fight, both whiff the first because Minato hadn't seen Kamui yet, and Obito loses an arm in the second because Minato speed blitzed him. now onto win cons.
we all know the ways Obito can theoretically fuck Itachi so I don't want to waste time here.
while I don't doubt that Itachi can't brute force a genjutsu he might be able to do what he did to Sauske and catch them in a genjutsu without him knowing and as we saw in the Donzo fight, subtle genjutsu can go a long way up until they figure out it's happening. the other big thing is I actually think Totsuka blade won't have any issue connecting with obito because he'll probably try to Kamui through it and depending on your stance on how this interaction goes the Totsuka blade might just straight up ignore fucking Kamui since it's an ethereal weapon and the instant mental stupor it triggers would prevent Izanagi from ever being activated.
now the third possible outcome if you're just fair to Itachi and say the difference between his prime and his edo stats is proportional to his Sharingan vs no sharingan amp the same way it was for Madara at a bare minimum, that puts him anywhere from several times to over ten times as fast and strong as KCM naruto. at that point, Itachi should have no problem avoiding the Kamui long enough to dissect it and catch Obito slippin with one of any of his one-shot bullshit.
PE: cant believe I forgot this but if kotoamatsukami can override edo tensie commands he might even be able to tell white mask obito to go kill himself.
Kotoamatsukami isn’t even instant, if it was instant Danzo wouldn’t have been able to steal Shisui’s eye so theoretically Obito can just blitz Itachi before Kotoamatsukami activates. To further support this Itachi didn’t even try Kotoamatsukami on Obito when he was alive so he probably knew himself that it wouldn’t work on him.
Literally every respectable power scaler who aren’t complete fanboys know Obito was relative to Minato in that fight lmao. Minato literally says the fight came down to who’s a split second faster, why would he say this to someone who’s supposedly not relative to him? Minato needed to teleport to Obito’s blind spot and tag him when he materialises. If Minato was way faster he would’ve blitzed Obito way before the FTG 2 rasengan attack happened.
Healthy Itachi is different though, he’d most likely defeat yellow mask Obito with very high difficulty but he doesn’t stand a chance against the later versions of Obito.
@@norbit6780 I mean shisui got poisoned and paralyzed in a suprise attack by a 3rd party before he knew he was being attacked and couldn't activate any jutsu on donzo. And itachi had other priorities with his once every 10 years jutsu so those supposed anti-feats don't hold up. Second I already played out why I believe most forms of itachi in question should be able to comfortably react to minato so obito wont be blitzing itachi. Also the minato fight isn't as good a feat as you think for obito. There are two exchanges and obito loses an arm. The other thing is no one here is claiming sick, basically on his deathbed, itachi can beat obito might be able to pull it off and same with prime itachi. He has the stats to be relative and several hacks that enable him to be a viable threat people I freely admit are generally stronger than him. I'm not even sure obito is all that much stronger than him until you get to the war arc for the reasons I laid out earlier. Edo itachi is pretty cracked, edo tensei nerf is a bitch, ergo the theoretical alive healthy itachi is pretty damn strong. I already laid out where he might theoretically be so I wont repeat myself.
@@thomasmcgraw8778 the Minato fight is a good feat, 14 year old Itachi isn’t catching and reacting to Minato like Obito did, Minato was so shook by how powerful he was that he ruined his sons life by sealing Kurama into him just to fight Obito, to further support this Minato literally told Naruto that he needed to master the Nine Tails Chakra to even stand a chance against the 14 year old Obito he fought, if you want confirmation go watch or read Minatos interaction with Naruto in the Pain arc. Itachi is never performing these feats at 14 years old, the guy was scared of fighting his father and was getting clapped by Shisui in sparring matches, the same Shisui who got bodied by old Danzo and some poison bugs if you wanna use the novel interpretation, those same poison bugs literally had no effect on Obito during his encounter with Fuu and Torune Lmfao

All of this is wrong, Itachi isn’t faster than Obito. Obito kept up with Minato at 14, Minato is was faster than Itachi and so on. Also Obito can resist all that genjutsu because his MS is arguably stronger than Itachi’s. Did you even watch the video?
