If it were me, the biggest issue would be if I incurred much of a financial outlay. As you said, you did gain knowledge and skills, so it was not a waste of time. As I listened, my thought was that you could just go take the Motorcycle permit written & "driving" test at the DMV. (and you spoke of that option.) But things have changed in the 50 years since I was doing driving tests! Major credit to you for owning up to this bobble. As I have mentioned before, your daily reports are full of plot twists.
