One fun fact about this map is that it's a stealth only map so the walls lack bullet block and are mostly bangable. It's possible to kill Garret at the spawn point with AP pistol or sniper rifle and escape within the countdown timer.
Dude, this has helped me so much with the heist. You can't imagine how great it is to have a guide that anyone can follow. I still have not succeeded in this mission because Ill grab the box, get to the elevator and somehow a guard will spot something and raise the alarm. I seriously am pulling hair out trying to get this mission done and I always make one fuck up and it is all over. Here is a funny story. Wanted to shoot a civilian to make an area safe to hide in. Plenty of body bags. Shoots the civilians and ends up shooting the camera security guy through a person and a wall because I forgot I put AP rounds on. Can't unlock in time to grab pager.
Thanks so much Scott, it's great to hear that my guide is being helpful! From what you say, it feels like you're definitely very close, so good luck with the final push! As for the story, I was reading it and wondering where the mistake could possibly be, and a collateral kill on the cam guy due to AP rounds was completely unexpected! Hahah that's a funny way to fail I would say :D
hopefully now this heist stops being ragged on so much. it's a very simple and nice heist to do in stealth. that being said i tend to leave all guards except cam guard alive just for my taste; not at all the most effective strategy, i just love the bs maneuvers you can pull off on this heist. really shows how silly guard detection can be in this game
I'm hoping for exactly the same, Convergent Series! It really is a lot easier than players make it out to be, so it's a shame when it's disliked so much. I didn't go into the sharp corner turns and crazy maneuvers because many of them are unfortunately random (because of guards only being able to check their surroundings every 2s, which allows you to reliably slip by, with just some random fails), but I can confirm that detection in this game is incredibly silly :p
Good eye Enio! I didn't even pay attention to that, but it does have decent-ish physics :p hope you enjoyed the content! (or background music; really good background music)
@@Marcmb you never disappoint with the content, hehe! and the background music feels nice too i still haven't returned to payday 2 yet, but your content is still fun to watch :p
That's good to hear, thank you! Looking forward to the day some old veterans return to the group lobbies :p M3L0 has completely disappeared lately as well! But I'm sure at some point in the future we will all have time for some things :D
I 100% Payday 2 on Xbox and will now be moving to PC. So there are A LOT of heists I've never touched before. This will help greatly, because I'm mostly worried about the stealth heists
That sounds great! I'm sure you'll enjoy your move to PC. As you said yourself, there's so much more content to check out. Glad that my stealth guides will be of help! :)
Always an interesting surprise when you get the keycard! The chance seems to be quite low, probably around 10%? It would be nice if there was a tiny extra XP reward, considering that you need to do some extra steps :p
Glad I could show you a bunch of new things Galip, you're absolutely welcome! Hopefully this heist becomes more liked across the community, with some of these helpful tips :p
Thank you so much for these guides, they've helped me do both Yacht Heist and now Breakin Feds on DSOD for my first clears so I never need to go back to them unless I want the other achievements. Stealth games/levels aren't my jam, so having guides like yours that cover every little detail got me a 12 minute DSOD clear here on my 2nd attempt past the security gates, though I kinda cheesed part 1 by not bothering with the white board and just resetting a few times til it was the laptop in the storage room. The idea of marking the boxes with arrows in part 2 was brilliant, and also let me take out the civ in the right side break room a little more comfortably since a box spawned in there. 2 mandatory stealth heists DSOD'd, 3 to go!
Awesome! That's great to hear Steve, glad that my guides are being helpful :) After you finish the entire DSOD mask, you might be in the mood to replay some of these: you never know! For now, good luck with the 3 remaining stealth heists :D
Indeed, yrm, very true! I didn't go into detail about that because I plan to make another video in the future about XP farming on this heist (that is, simultaneously doing Garrett distractions on one side, and full loot on the other), but you're 100% correct: the zipline is only needed for the main box, while everything else can be secured by simply throwing it up the skylight, after the zipline has been set up to enable the loot drop-off!
Thank you so much for this guide! I've been stuck on this heist in the career mode for several weeks, and the strategies in this video helped me clear it and move on with the story. Thank you!
:D That's very kind of you Hansha, thank you! I myself am still addicted to Infamy farming (currently CCXLV), so I'm going to be making some videos about solo, duo, and 4-man infamy farming this year :p
This is a godsend for someone who only go loud but need to complete the career mode just for the sake of it... Thank you so much... Although your yacht heist guide came out a bit too late
Thanks a lot MIZU! Glad to hear this guide helped :) I did indeed take a while to upload the Yacht Heist one yes haha :D I'm gonna be focusing on more guides these days, because I want to cover all heists!
Breaking feds gave me so much trouble because if I got the turn off the power lure than my game wouldn’t process it and he wouldn’t get out of the room. Other than that great vid Marc really appreciate the tips:D
It's a shame, but yup, problems with this heist are quite common. I'm hoping that this strat (plus knowledge about cams & Garrett's side) will spread a bit, which should change the situation a lot! :D
Thank you very much kitandrei! This one is easily one of my favorite stealth heists, and over time I've been able to change the negative opinion that a few different heisters had of this heist. Always good to see :D
Very good point, Jang! As usual, too many cooks spoil the soup. Having too many heisters running around and trying to one-up each other often leads to disaster, even for a heist as methodical as this one :p
Oh man! You saved me In my first try after watching the video i failed but then i tried a second time and it went perfect, i got the light distraction and history code (1776) but the escape was from Twitch with some C4 instead of the grapple thing which got me by surprice but i managed to do it, thank you so much dude
Glad I was able to help Gilligan! Good job on your completion. The garage escape has about a ~50% chance, some like it more than zipline, but others dislike it :D It has some advantages because you don't need to go through the first area with 3 guards again, but you lose the stealth bonus :(
quick guide for ecm rushing this heist: at the start have everyone spread out 1 on lower floor, other on HR to go to operations, 1 at gates, last at server to go to storage, etc and quickly spread out to check garrett's side once you do you can pray to RNJesus on the left side to only kill guards on the email side while on right side you can launch guards into the many safe zones around the map split up to have everyone on boxes and 1 on lure to then open door make sure you move covers when a full ecm is active instead of a pcm chain to avoid locking the keypad(same strat as dragon heist ecm rush but the keypad spawns only when the safe is uncovered), enter the code and escape
That's a very good plan Alt! Sorry I didn't see this earlier because it somehow got caught in the spam filter, weird! I think everything is correct except for the safe part: as long as you place your 1st ECM before the cover is moved, you should be able to continue an ECM chain after exposing the keypad (PCMs too) as long as there's no downtime between all the jammers in the chain. A similar thing happens on Dragon Heist where you can chain as many as you want, but if you mess up and have some downtime, the jamming re-evaluates and the keypad gets locked. Also there's some advanced strats to reliably rush it every time without praying to RNJesus, but I'll have you wait for those :p Rush will be coming eventually, one day!!
@@Marcmb there are more safe zones on the right side than on the left for guard launching but on left side the 2 dominant lures(power and phone) follow relatively the same path
They are essentially the same path yup, in fact when I showed the lights path I barely showed it because it really is identical up to the lights. But there are a couple of desks that can be used to launch bodies very efficiently, and very reliably. You'll see! :p
This is very helpful. I am dreading this heist as I am bad at stealth (though working on Burglar for a little advantage). And this is the last trophy I need to start the spoiler
Hey again Jimwormmaster! Best of luck with the heist :) It's tricky at first, but once you understand the logic behind the layout, and get some experience clearing Garrett's side, it becomes absurdly easy.
I have played this game for almost 1300 hours, I have done this specific heist countless times, and yet I have never seen a keycard in that safe. I didn't even know that was possible. Very interesting guide tho! I always waited till Garrett was on the toilet to make sure it was safe, but that can take quite some time. Those code tips will definitely make it a LOT faster.
It's a rare spawn yeah! Kinda cool when it happens, although the box is objectively easier... Glad some of those tips were interesting / useful, even as a veteran heister. Thanks for the nice comment, Rudi!
Been having problems with this one, this'll be fun! Locke's line from San martin "Huh, not so complicated after all" fits this heist well. perhaps i treated Breakin' Feds unfairly.. And yes, the music is awesome
A thing I was curious about is the bonus loot from the evidence room. I am a little disappointed that this, being a "ultimate guide" didn't touch this aspect of the heist, but on the other side that is a reason for another video, if there is enough information to talk about.
Hey Medium! You're absolutely right that it would've been nice to have that section too. In fact that was the plan at the beginning: going for all loot requires doing one side pacifist (while clearing the other for easy progress), so you actually need to learn both sides in a pacifist way, which is also required for the new Grinch achievement. So that was the plan, to mention all that in the guide... but it's so different than the "simple completion approach", and this is a heist that many heisters struggle with, so I decided it was best to split the video in two. So just as you guessed, there's definitely another video (a PART2) coming eventually! :D
@@Marcmb that is very reasonable. I rarely found myself doing this heist. Especially with my impatient approach to stealth. I can only imagine what others did there. Waiting for a next in-depth tutorial then. Good to have you back!
Glad that it's understandable! Hopefully the guide in the future (both about full pacifist, and all loot) will be interesting too. And it's good to be back, thank you! Glad to see you're STILL here, enjoying the content! :D
I remember when this heist first game out, I played this heist with randoms on Mayhem difficulty at 2am and it took us like 2 hours to finish the heist and I had school that day
Hahaha! Those are unironically some of the best memories of PAYDAY: when nobody has any idea of what's going on, and you're constantly restarting because someone finds a new way to fail the heist :D
awesome job on this. While i do like Payday 2's stealth, this heist was always a bit of a pain without trip mines. guess i was just taking the wrong approach, always killing cams instead of the inspector!
Thank you TacticalBananas! And glad that small piece of information helped :) It is just as you say: getting rid of the inspector helps A LOT, because avoiding cameras is really really easy (just keep moving and stay out of the camera view; it really is hard to get spotted by a camera unless you're trying to get spotted), whereas avoiding the inspector can lead to some mistakes sometimes!
Nice! I didn't see his video, but it makes sense that he would upload one around this time, because there's a new achievement for this heist! I ended up not even mentioning the pacifist approach though, since there were already so many miscellaneous things mentioned...
"Breakin' Feds is the hardest stealth heist! Ever! Because it is..." "Stop right there, I got something for you to know" Thought it doesn't have the all loot part, it is still a detailed and great guide to make some players change their minds! Also, wish you a happier and safer year in 2022 c:
Hey there F0x, glad you found the guide to be adequate, thank you very much! I know you were looking forward to this one :) Unfortunately I had to keep the pacifist + looting parts out of the guide: there are so many small things mentioned already, that I didn't want it to become _too_ too dense. I decided to make a separate video in the future about completing this heist for XP: all distractions, and all loot simultaneously! That one will be better for that type of information :D Happy new year to you as well, hopefully 2022 will be great!
I think so yup! I really like making long long guides, but some pieces of information I feel they make the video seem too long, and then some heisters miss out on very useful information. Definitely expect some kind of "PART2" though! :D
Very true unfortunately... with more heisters, it's really likely that one of them will mess up. Thankfully if they get through the barriers without wasting pagers, I can just tell them the correct side and place a Tier 2 ECM, and the heist becomes easy again... but certainly easier solo :p
Mate, when you got the kitchen laptop you went through like it was nothing! Whenever I get it, I have to pray the stars align and there won't be a guard standing in my way upstairs.
Very true, Cotton! That happens quite often, with guards getting in the way and forcing you to re-do the kitchen hack. That's why I actually stopped my first laptop interaction, because I always fully make sure that it'll be reasonably clear, before committing to the hack. But either way I was indeed quite lucky in that occasion!
That's somewhat good to hear, Dreamer! Hope you were able to enjoy the gameplay :) Coincidentally, this one is also one of my favorites, although I've only played it around 150 times, compared to Election Day (another one of my favorites) which I've completed 600 times!
Happy new year Marcmb! Another amazing video. This video has more information and details than your previous breakingfed guide and a new great solo method. Still learn a lot from it. I am looking forward to your next video.
Happy New Year to you as well! Here's to a great 2022 :) Glad you found the bonus video to be worth it; thank you very much! I decided to re-make it because this one focuses a lot more on the _solo_ heisting, and it's also explained more clearly in my opinion.
@@Marcmb It actually did help a lot, Usualy i would fail trying to locate garrets office, Now i can get to the point of getting inside his office but im having troubles with the code
Hahaha good one! Indeed, if you try hard enough, you could technically still mess it up after that point :p ...I've actually seen it happen. Group lobbies are something else! :D
@@Marcmb i once had the elevator escape and stepped away from the wall so i wouldn't get blown up without realizing that the c4 wouldn't explode and then i failed the point of no return
I've failed the heist while going down the elevator because some funny heisters decide to use ECM feedback (which alerts Garrett) or place some mines on the moving elevator (which instantly explode)... sad :(
Hey Gagarin! The bonus loot is always on the opposite side (two rooms with either 3~5 coke, or 1~3 money). The problem is that it's not compatible with this "full clear" strategy (which is the best stealth strategy for completion) so I didn't mention it here to avoid overcomplicating it. I'll have a video in the future that focuses on full pacifist, full loot! Since that's a perfect strategy for both sides :)
hey man! great guide as always, I'm not sure if you have been asked before, but have you ever considered doing a Rats stealth guide? I haven't been able to find any and am currently struggling through the Storyline menu and Rats really has me stumped.
You're absolutely welcome Adam! Glad the guides have been helping, thank you :D As for Rats, you can only stealth DAY2, but it's really straightforward: if you have the Nimble ACE skill, you can lockpick the safe in front of the gangsters, and they don't notice it even when it's open. They also don't detect you while walking around even while masked, so there's not much to worry about!!
I can see where you're coming from yup! For the sake of efficiency I go for the full-clear approach, but in all my runs I do simultaneous distractions on one side, and full loot on the other (which has all the guards, as if I were doing pacifist). Both sides are equally fun!
Haha that's fine Uzbek, no worries! Sometimes you need lots of lures, so you end up reaching the chimichanga objective :) You do get more XP for all those lures, so it's fine :D
Correct! I have a friend that plays DbD and he likes the Michael Myers reference :D Although the names are somewhat randomized, so it won't always be the same name. Sometimes you find the PC needed for the distraction on that corner!
Thanks so much for these guides! I can't express how useful they are. After I watched this guide, the heist was really quite enjoyable, which I definitely didn't expect. I would've probably given up on this heist without it.
That is great to hear, Vesk! It's great that these guides are helping :) Especially for this one, because it's a favorite of mine, but overall the community doesn't enjoy it, because they don't know about the simple approach of locating Garrett's side safely, and then clearing it completely!
That's great to hear Seth! This is one of my favorite stealth heists, so it's always good to get more heisters to go through it and hopefully enjoy it :D As for the OST, that's the stealth part of Sly Gloves! It's a really solid BGM that fits almost anywhere.
Pretty decent work again Marc. I was thinking i was the only one who discovered that Sixth Sense trick, glad you came with it. I wonder what determines the elevator's loud escape though. Is it random or correlated with something else?
Thank you very much Bilal! Glad you liked this one, and good to hear there's more heisters out there using advanced Sixth Sense tricks :D As for the elevator escape, unfortunately it's not tied to anything else: completely random and it gets rid of your stealth bonus...
Thank you very much EukkMaru! Happy to hear you enjoy my videos :) As for your question: very good question, and very simple answer! The guards simply never walk close enough to the chair to even see you for a second (no question marks _?_ at all, ever), so you could sit there for an hour and no one would see you.
Great video as always, has a lot of useful info even if I thought I knew the heist fairly well! Could you elaborate a bit on strategy if the laptop spawns in the kitchen? Do you just need to pray you get good RNG with guards? Would it be worth it to just reset? A very small but nice thing to know would be that you can trigger the distraction objective if Garrett spawns on the left side from within the large office room on the right. Can help save some time if feds are all over the corridor, although I guess it's not needed if you just wipe out that side anyway
Thank you very much! Glad you were able to enjoy it as a heister with experience, that's great to hear. Sometimes with the kitchen laptop you end up wasting a lot of time yeah. As a solo heister it really depends on how the guards upstairs and downstairs decide to move. It's really easy to not fail, so I would not reset, but sometimes the pathing will be dreadful. My best recommendation is to mark the 3 guards upstairs before heading down (marking will last 27s) and then making sure the way to the staircase is clear (2 guards downstairs) before finishing the laptop hack: the 30s timer can easily run out, so don't rush the laptop hack. Based on the 3 guards upstairs decide which of the 2 staircases you want to take. But really it'll come down to RNG pathing, so best of luck! Also just as you say: the bonus tip is very cool, but not very useful! I recorded a clip of that interaction (approaching the flag to trigger the objective) but couldn't find a place in the video for it, because it's not really useful when you go for full clear. Still really cool though! :p
Sad this heist is looked over alot. Really good and fun heist, plus easy clear as well. an absolute gem of a stealth heist also whats ur primary called?
Easy and quick, and very fun solo! Shame that many consider it "too hard" and don't play it at all :( My primary is the CAR-4, although the Cavity is a more popular alternative for stealth!
@@Marcmb yeah, it’s sad how it’s stepped over. plus using yakuza with molotovs and if you’re unlucky, killing any guard that notices it becomes one of if not the best heist. and thanks for the primary name, i’ll look into using it. ive assumed it’s the raven shotgun (Gage shotgun pack 001,) but you’ve said otherwise, (i really recommend the shotgun. really fun, good accuracy for a shotgun, and good damage.
@@crusaderzim The Raven is also quite good yup! I personally use it for Diamond Store exclusively, which you can see in some of my videos... I like some variety, so I have some skill sets or profiles or specific weapons that I use for specific heists! :D
@@Marcmb i see. for non ecm rush heists i use burglar in the case for diamond store for a quick four guard swipe and secure all the dosh for some easy exp
Happy new year, and also a question, do you think stealth in pd 3 will be easier or harder than in pd 2? I'm gonna say harder, but that's just my opinion.
Happy new year to you as well, Misza! As for PAYDAY3: definitely harder! There are some things you can do in the current game, like sprinting right next to a civilian or a guard, and they don't notice because they are only able to check their surroundings every 2 seconds (due to engine limitations). This kind of thing will surely be removed for the next game, making stealth a lot more realistic, fair, and challenging! :D
So, I read on the wiki that after all three distractions, you can use a fourth that moves Garrett out of his office for the rest of the heist. Is this true, and if so, is it only on certain difficulties? How optimal is it if you’re nervous about how fast you are at searching? What is the risk of Garrett spotting you while you’re doing the other three distractions? Even if it isn’t true/optimal, I still could maybe use the timed distractions, but I’d rather use the safest option and know for sure that it exists. Thanks.
Hey Dek! That is correct yes: if you do all 3 random distractions, the 4th will consist in bringing Garrett some food, and he goes to the bathroom permanently (he despawns) after eating it. This applies to all difficulties, but as I mentioned, realistically you'll always be done before the 3 distractions: the only reason to do more would be to farm XP, which I will cover in a future XP-farming video. So you can do it if you want (the other distractions have zero risk if you hide all corpses and memorize his pathing, as shown in the video), but you can be confident because it's definitely not necessary!
@@Marcmb I didn’t anticipate a reply lol. I’m not really doing it for the XP, mostly to do it on DSOD so me and my cousin don’t need to do it again when we inevitably farm for the difficulty masks lol. This one, Lab Rats and The Yacht Heist are actually all that’s left for the Normal, Hard, Very Hard and Overkill masks to be in my collection. We tried Lab Rats, but it started a Point Of No Return countdown out of nowhere and we lost, and yesterday booted up Yacht Heist just to see what it’s like, and left it for another time. Hopefully you can make a guide for one or the other if you haven’t yet. I’ll see if we can knock out Breakin’ Feds later tonight. The good thing is, both my cousin and I run Silent Assassin because we both are extremely lazy, so I can just Sixth Sense the 3rd guard spot and get him out of the way with a well placed shot from a five-seven or a silent sniper rifle without worry of a pager. Either way, thanks for replying. I probably had one or two other questions, but I don’t remember them right now. If I do, I’ll probably leave another reply or comment asking about it.
@@Marcmb A late update: we did Lab Rats a few weeks ago, so that one is out of the way. I myself solo ran Yacht Heist not even an hour ago, and I’m doing a Breakin’ Feds attempt right now (well, I was doing one at least.) I had to wait so long for Garret to move, and he only did once I opened his office door. That was annoying. Either way, I got the 4th distraction, he despawned, I stole the box and now I’ve got some new masks!
Hmmm interesting DDD! I've never tried a 0000 code, because the four default codes (and their hints) have been known for a long time, so I never thought there would be more!
If only they could upgrade consoles... :( I'm sure the ps5 could handle all the new dlc as a fan of the game I feel seriously shafted by having to buy two different copies of the same game to only be told they cant bring these dlcs to console then probably later down the track charge us a third time lol still never got the satisfaction from that whole decision. Even if not new content we could have been given extra infamy levels with the release of crime wave lol Aside from that great content as always maybe one day I can play these maps or eventually move to PC
It is indeed a shame that console players can't enjoy this content :( this heist in particular is absolutely great. Glad you're liking the content though, I appreciate that a lot! Thank you dobbzy :)
Hey Person, glad that helped! You're absolutely welcome :) To place an ECM while carrying a bag, you have to hold G (rather than press it, which would drop the bag) and your ECM placing will begin after a 0.5s delay.
Hey there Milosz, haven't seen you in a while! :D Car Shop guide might be coming soon, we'll see!! I think I'm gonna do Murky Station, Car Shop, Train Heist, and Shacklethorne Auction... all relatively soon. Hopefully the arm gets better soon :( what kind of things can you do in your state? Any everyday activitives? PAYDAY?
how do you imagine playing payday (or any other game, that requires both hands ;-;) with one hand? (xd) well, 2 days ago, I remembered, that I had Evoland (you can check that game) on Steam and it can be played with only one hand! when I ended that game, I've brought Legendary Edition, which contains two parts of it and it is for sale (btw my left arm is broken and i'm right-handed, so it's not *THAT* bad)
Aww that's a shame, but I guess that as you said, at least the silver lining is that you still have your main hand, and some games that can be played with just one hand. You do make a very good point that it would be really hard to play PAYDAY with a single hand... I've never been in such a situation, so I can't even begin to imagine it! Best of luck, and hopefully you'll have a speedy recovery :)
That is very true Mauer! The objective doesn't really have any difficulty (especially if you've cleared Garrett's side completely) so it felt very cheap to extend the video by including an elevator clip :p I had some runs with elevator, but I decided to prioritize the one where I got the keycard (which happened to be skylight escape), since that one has an important effect on the objectives! In the future I'll be making an extended video about full pacifist (for the new achievement) and all loot (for XP farming), so the elevator will be mentioned in that scenario, because it's very relevant for all loot runs! And the skylight trick too.
Hey Lazar! Thank you for the suggestion :) Currently I am prioritizing Murky Station, but Shacklethorne Auction should be done shortly after... we'll see!!
Hey Blucario! I'm planning to make a pacifist all loot challenge on this heist in the future (because it's so different from the straightforward approach shown here), so that's why I didn't mention those things here. The extra loot is always in the evidence room (located in the side opposite to Garrett's office). You'll find four doors in there, two of them having loot: either coke (up to 5), or money (up to 3).
@@Marcmb Well, I did it. I went into breaking feds and after doing 3/4 lures I got the box. After that, I went to the evidence room and secured 4/5 nice money bundles before heading out.
Hey Alt! While it's true that Garrett will never attempt to go back while the door is still closed, you have a few extra seconds to get the hint and open the safe if you finish rewiring while Garrett is still walking to the lure point. For heisters that are slow, or purposely wait a lot time before rewiring the boxes, there's often not enough time to get the box with just 1 lure: sometimes Locke even says the "get out of there!" warning before even giving the hint for the safe. Thus, I definitely recommend trying to be fast with the boxes!
Hey Defender! I'm catching up with all comments, sorry it took so long. There can be multiple keypads (due to a bug with ghost keypads after ECMs or PCMs are used), but there is only one safe, so you can't get the wrong one! No worries :)
What's with the keycard in the safe at 9:49? I've never had it before, it's always just been grab the box from the safe and leave when I've done it. How does that affect the rest of the heist from there?
Good question Oilee! I decided to showcase one of the runs where I got the keycard, because as you mention, it's a lot rarer than the box variation. When you get the box, it's a lot simpler: you just grab it, and go to the escape. When you get the keycard, you have to go all the way to the other side, where the Evidence Room spawns, and get the box from there (e.g., 16:28). After you get it, the objectives become the usual, and you just have to escape with the box.
Hi Undead! No RNG: whenever the escape is the elevator, sadly you lose the 10% stealth bonus because the alarm goes off when the wall blows up, before you can secure the loot and escape. Very unfortunate because it doesn't give you bonus XP to make up for it...
I have a question, how do you now the codes? I mean, I know them cause once I google it and I remember the four codes, but... there is something in the map to figure out them? In the walls of the office there are clues but I never get how to read them and I never read anyone talking about it.
Interesting question, GVZ! There are indeed a bunch of clues around the office with the actual 4-digit codes. A post-it with 1234, an FBI file with 2015 written somewhere, a note somewhere with 1212... I don't remember exactly where all of them are, but I'll be looking for them next time! :D
@@Marcmb Ah, that is fair. I was thinking as all the guards were dead, nobody to see them, but right, Garrett can still get alerted. Thanks for the clarification
As for your question about these paths: the only one that adds complexity is the keycard, so for that reason I decided to show a run where I got the keycard (see example run at the end). Basically if you get the keycard, you have to go all the way to the other side of the building (evidence room) to get the actual box: after that, the paths merge again and it continues as usual. As for the escape, it's a random chance between elevator or skylight, but both are very straightforward!
@@Marcmb Often, the elevator escape becomes the least manageable for scavenging the cocaine in evidence, as once Twitch detonates the c4, you can't go back and get the loot, and have a minute to get to the escape. With the zipline, you got all the time in the world.
Somewhat true, but if you plan ahead, while the elevator is going down you can stack all the bags against the elevator doors. Then, as soon as the elevator doors open, you can start throwing the bags towards the wall that will be blown up, and then you have about a full minute to secure all your bags. Elevator escape isn't really an issue even for "all loot" runs! The only problem is that you lose your stealth bonus, which is quite unfair :(
Definitely leaving with style, that's true! The devs should change it slightly so that you can keep the stealth bonus. Similar to other heists where you get stealth bonus just for reaching a certain point in stealth.
Where can the evidence room spawn? Also has there been any more important changes since the christmas decorations went away? I swear last time I did the heist the inspector went to the opposite side of garret.
Hey raylen! The evidence room always spawns on the side opposite of Garrett. Each side (LEFT, or RIGHT) only has 1 spawn location, so it's always easy to locate after you have seen it once! *EDIT:* as for the inspectors, they have a weird behavior where, after arriving from the elevator, they always go to the left side first. The inspector stays there if that's the side he's going to, or he crosses the other bridge back to the right side, if that's where he's going.
Hi Albertovik! It's not my top top priority (expect the next guide to be Murky Station) but many have requested Yacht as well, so I might do that one afterwards! :D
This is 5 months late but I've tried everything AND I still can't do it. It might be my stealth ability but like I said I can't get seem to get past the 2nd part without getting spotted

legitimately always thought that the inspector would respawn if killed, the fact he doesn't makes things a thousand times better
That would indeed make it a lot harder, thankfully it doesn't happen! Clearing the entirety of Garrett's side really makes the heist a lot easier :)
One fun fact about this map is that it's a stealth only map so the walls lack bullet block and are mostly bangable. It's possible to kill Garret at the spawn point with AP pistol or sniper rifle and escape within the countdown timer.
Very true! In fact, some heisters go for the "Killing Garrett speedrun", Augusta has a video with the reported WR of only 4 seconds :D
Thank you for making the best stealth guides! They are really informative and have helped me clear all stealth heists on DSOD
You're absolutely welcome, JZwizzles! Happy to hear the guides are useful, and that they've already helped you :) that's great!
hopefully now this heist stops being ragged on so much. it's a very simple and nice heist to do in stealth. that being said i tend to leave all guards except cam guard alive just for my taste; not at all the most effective strategy, i just love the bs maneuvers you can pull off on this heist. really shows how silly guard detection can be in this game
I'm hoping for exactly the same, Convergent Series! It really is a lot easier than players make it out to be, so it's a shame when it's disliked so much.
I didn't go into the sharp corner turns and crazy maneuvers because many of them are unfortunately random (because of guards only being able to check their surroundings every 2s, which allows you to reliably slip by, with just some random fails), but I can confirm that detection in this game is incredibly silly :p
this guide made me realise that garret's coat has physics. neat detail
Good eye Enio! I didn't even pay attention to that, but it does have decent-ish physics :p hope you enjoyed the content! (or background music; really good background music)

That sounds great! I'm sure you'll enjoy your move to PC. As you said yourself, there's so much more content to check out. Glad that my stealth guides will be of help! :)
16:31 this part actually blew my mind because I actually got the keycard one time and I was so confused
Always an interesting surprise when you get the keycard! The chance seems to be quite low, probably around 10%?
It would be nice if there was a tiny extra XP reward, considering that you need to do some extra steps :p
There are a lot of things I did not knew about in this video, thanks.
Awesome! That's great to hear Steve, glad that my guides are being helpful :)
After you finish the entire DSOD mask, you might be in the mood to replay some of these: you never know! For now, good luck with the 3 remaining stealth heists :D
This is the quickest and most detailed guideline I've seen so far. Thanks for the video.
Thanks so much Numb! Glad you enjoyed the guide, you're absolutely welcome :)
Also, you can throw bags out the window, instead of using a zipline, if you are going to carry off extra loot
This guides are always top notch, thanks Marc! And also, happy new year!
Thanks a lot Sebas! Happy to hear the guides are nice :) I really enjoy making them.
Happy new year to you too!
Thank you so much for this guide! I've been stuck on this heist in the career mode for several weeks, and the strategies in this video helped me clear it and move on with the story. Thank you!

I'm glad i wasn't the only one who had trouble with this heist, but with this strat it'll finally be easy
It's a shame, but yup, problems with this heist are quite common. I'm hoping that this strat (plus knowledge about cams & Garrett's side) will spread a bit, which should change the situation a lot! :D

The best as always. In the beginning I always hated this heist because I thought it was difficult. Once you understand it it's pretty easy
Thank you very much kitandrei! This one is easily one of my favorite stealth heists, and over time I've been able to change the negative opinion that a few different heisters had of this heist. Always good to see :D

Thank you so much I was struggling really badly with breaking feds but you helped so much thank you
You're absolutely welcome, That_american! Glad my guide helped :)
One of the heist that is easy on solo, but hard as hell on lobby
Very good point, Jang! As usual, too many cooks spoil the soup. Having too many heisters running around and trying to one-up each other often leads to disaster, even for a heist as methodical as this one :p
Oh man! You saved me
In my first try after watching the video i failed but then i tried a second time and it went perfect, i got the light distraction and history code (1776) but the escape was from Twitch with some C4 instead of the grapple thing which got me by surprice but i managed to do it, thank you so much dude
Glad I was able to help Gilligan! Good job on your completion.
The garage escape has about a ~50% chance, some like it more than zipline, but others dislike it :D It has some advantages because you don't need to go through the first area with 3 guards again, but you lose the stealth bonus :(
quick guide for ecm rushing this heist:
at the start have everyone spread out
1 on lower floor, other on HR to go to operations, 1 at gates, last at server to go to storage, etc and quickly spread out to check garrett's side
once you do you can pray to RNJesus on the left side to only kill guards on the email side while on right side you can launch guards into the many safe zones around the map
split up to have everyone on boxes and 1 on lure to then open door
make sure you move covers when a full ecm is active instead of a pcm chain to avoid locking the keypad(same strat as dragon heist ecm rush but the keypad spawns only when the safe is uncovered), enter the code and escape
You'll see! :p
Thanks so much helped me beat my first deathwish heist
Glad I was able to help, gamerman!
And yes, the music is awesome

finish at the POINT OF NO RETURN IN 00:00! thx your best guide :D
Very very close Antonio! Congrats on the clutch completion :D glad the guide helped!

Hmm, this release soon after Unknown knight released his video on Breakin Feds, coincidence? I think so
Nice! I didn't see his video, but it makes sense that he would upload one around this time, because there's a new achievement for this heist! I ended up not even mentioning the pacifist approach though, since there were already so many miscellaneous things mentioned...

Also, wish you a happier and safer year in 2022 c:
Hey there F0x, glad you found the guide to be adequate, thank you very much! I know you were looking forward to this one :)
Unfortunately I had to keep the pacifist + looting parts out of the guide: there are so many small things mentioned already, that I didn't want it to become _too_ too dense. I decided to make a separate video in the future about completing this heist for XP: all distractions, and all loot simultaneously! That one will be better for that type of information :D
Happy new year to you as well, hopefully 2022 will be great!
@@Marcmb Well, guess a sperate video is better than a 30 mins video with all the details :P
I think so yup! I really like making long long guides, but some pieces of information I feel they make the video seem too long, and then some heisters miss out on very useful information. Definitely expect some kind of "PART2" though! :D
Tbh this mission has to be by far the hardest to complete with randoms
I remember when this was my fav stealth heist. But it got to the point where i played it so much i couldnt stand it anymore
That's somewhat good to hear, Dreamer! Hope you were able to enjoy the gameplay :)

Very nice guide, but i would like to know about the additional loot
Hey Gagarin! The bonus loot is always on the opposite side (two rooms with either 3~5 coke, or 1~3 money). The problem is that it's not compatible with this "full clear" strategy (which is the best stealth strategy for completion) so I didn't mention it here to avoid overcomplicating it. I'll have a video in the future that focuses on full pacifist, full loot! Since that's a perfect strategy for both sides :)

You're absolutely welcome Adam! Glad the guides have been helping, thank you :D
As for Rats, you can only stealth DAY2, but it's really straightforward: if you have the Nimble ACE skill, you can lockpick the safe in front of the gangsters, and they don't notice it even when it's open. They also don't detect you while walking around even while masked, so there's not much to worry about!!

No worries! Hopefully my advice helped a bit :)

Thank you! 😃 Very kind of you.
Solo pacofost is actually really fun
I can see where you're coming from yup! For the sake of efficiency I go for the full-clear approach, but in all my runs I do simultaneous distractions on one side, and full loot on the other (which has all the guards, as if I were doing pacifist). Both sides are equally fun!
I was so bad that i lured Garret with chimichangas
Haha that's fine Uzbek, no worries! Sometimes you need lots of lures, so you end up reaching the chimichanga objective :) You do get more XP for all those lures, so it's fine :D
fun fact, on the left side the pc in the corner says M. Myers
Correct! I have a friend that plays DbD and he likes the Michael Myers reference :D Although the names are somewhat randomized, so it won't always be the same name. Sometimes you find the PC needed for the distraction on that corner!

As for the OST, that's the stealth part of Sly Gloves! It's a really solid BGM that fits almost anywhere.
@@Marcmb Thanks for the answer! ^^
Pretty decent work again Marc. I was thinking i was the only one who discovered that Sixth Sense trick, glad you came with it. I wonder what determines the elevator's loud escape though. Is it random or correlated with something else?
Thank you very much Bilal! Glad you liked this one, and good to hear there's more heisters out there using advanced Sixth Sense tricks :D
As for the elevator escape, unfortunately it's not tied to anything else: completely random and it gets rid of your stealth bonus...
Always love your videos! By the way, could you explain the logic behind 0:59 on how guards don't see you?
Thank you very much EukkMaru! Happy to hear you enjoy my videos :)
As for your question: very good question, and very simple answer! The guards simply never walk close enough to the chair to even see you for a second (no question marks _?_ at all, ever), so you could sit there for an hour and no one would see you.

happy new year
Hey MEDIC BAG! Happy New Year to you as well :D
Really good and fun heist, plus easy clear as well. an absolute gem of a stealth heist
also whats ur primary called?
Easy and quick, and very fun solo! Shame that many consider it "too hard" and don't play it at all :(
My primary is the CAR-4, although the Cavity is a more popular alternative for stealth!

Best of luck with your Breakin' Feds attempt! The guide for Yacht Heist will be coming soon :)
@@Marcmb A late update: we did Lab Rats a few weeks ago, so that one is out of the way.
I myself solo ran Yacht Heist not even an hour ago, and I’m doing a Breakin’ Feds attempt right now (well, I was doing one at least.)
I had to wait so long for Garret to move, and he only did once I opened his office door. That was annoying.
Either way, I got the 4th distraction, he despawned, I stole the box and now I’ve got some new masks!
@@Marcmb im dumb I didnt realize u could use multiple distractions I did the entire thing in 1
Also there has a pretty cursed bug which if you use pecm, then you can put the code 0000,and it correct lol
Hmmm interesting DDD! I've never tried a 0000 code, because the four default codes (and their hints) have been known for a long time, so I never thought there would be more!
Its doesnt work
Atleast it work for me
If only they could upgrade consoles... :( I'm sure the ps5 could handle all the new dlc as a fan of the game I feel seriously shafted by having to buy two different copies of the same game to only be told they cant bring these dlcs to console then probably later down the track charge us a third time lol still never got the satisfaction from that whole decision. Even if not new content we could have been given extra infamy levels with the release of crime wave lol
Aside from that great content as always maybe one day I can play these maps or eventually move to PC
It is indeed a shame that console players can't enjoy this content :( this heist in particular is absolutely great.
Glad you're liking the content though, I appreciate that a lot! Thank you dobbzy :)
good guide but i tabbed out of the game to check this and my computer blue screened lmao
Bwoah! That is strange. I alt-tab multiple times daily, and I've never bluescreened! Hopefully you were able to get revenge on the heist :p
I'm very new to the game and have been looking for a way to mark locations, tysm!
Edit, how did you place an ecm without dropping your bag?
Hey Person, glad that helped! You're absolutely welcome :)
To place an ECM while carrying a bag, you have to hold G (rather than press it, which would drop the bag) and your ECM placing will begin after a 0.5s delay.
One step closer to the ending
THE ending
Glad this helped you get closer to that, Random person! GL with the rest of the journey :)

hey Marc, I wonder when you will do Car Shop guide ;p
(btw I've broken my arm :/)
Hey there Milosz, haven't seen you in a while! :D
Car Shop guide might be coming soon, we'll see!!
(xd) well, 2 days ago, I remembered, that I had Evoland (you can check that game) on Steam and it can be played with only one hand! when I ended that game, I've brought Legendary Edition, which contains two parts of it and it is for sale
(btw my left arm is broken and i'm right-handed, so it's not *THAT* bad)
Aww that's a shame, but I guess that as you said, at least the silver lining is that you still have your main hand, and some games that can be played with just one hand.
You do make a very good point that it would be really hard to play PAYDAY with a single hand... I've never been in such a situation, so I can't even begin to imagine it! Best of luck, and hopefully you'll have a speedy recovery :)
big question, sometimes you get the elevator escape and you didnt even showed it once in any video.
That is very true Mauer! The objective doesn't really have any difficulty (especially if you've cleared Garrett's side completely) so it felt very cheap to extend the video by including an elevator clip :p
I had some runs with elevator, but I decided to prioritize the one where I got the keycard (which happened to be skylight escape), since that one has an important effect on the objectives!
In the future I'll be making an extended video about full pacifist (for the new achievement) and all loot (for XP farming), so the elevator will be mentioned in that scenario, because it's very relevant for all loot runs! And the skylight trick too.
Can you please make a shacklethorne auction guide, I am trying to do it for a week now with no success?
Hey Lazar! Thank you for the suggestion :) Currently I am prioritizing Murky Station, but Shacklethorne Auction should be done shortly after... we'll see!!
What about the extra loot? My HUD always tells me there are some extra things to pick up, but I'm never able to find them.
After that, I went to the evidence room and secured 4/5 nice money bundles before heading out.
you don't need to do the boxes quickly, garrett only comes back when the door opens
It looked like there were two safes in Garret's office. How did you know which one it was?
Hey Defender! I'm catching up with all comments, sorry it took so long. There can be multiple keypads (due to a bug with ghost keypads after ECMs or PCMs are used), but there is only one safe, so you can't get the wrong one! No worries :)
@@Marcmb You're totally fine! That makes sense, and I appreciate you taking time to respond!
Is the lose the stealth bonus for the heist completely randomized for when you go down the elevator and blow open the wall?
Hi Undead! No RNG: whenever the escape is the elevator, sadly you lose the 10% stealth bonus because the alarm goes off when the wall blows up, before you can secure the loot and escape. Very unfortunate because it doesn't give you bonus XP to make up for it...
thx it's really help me :) you got subscribe
Glad the guide helped, Maciej! And thank you so much for considering subscribing :)
Question: if you take out all the guards on that side, why do you need body bags?
Hey jim! Only because when you lure Garrett out, he cannot see anything suspicious, or he will get alerted and the heist will fail :)
@@Marcmb Ah, that is fair. I was thinking as all the guards were dead, nobody to see them, but right, Garrett can still get alerted. Thanks for the clarification
@@jimwormmaster No worries! That's exactly it :) Happy to help!
May I ask about the different ending types and branching paths, such as the keycard for the evidence room, or the zipline exit/c4 exit ending?
The only problem is that you lose your stealth bonus, which is quite unfair :(
@@Marcmb In story terms, it makes it quite a thrill to just have Twitch send a final "fuck you" to Garrett's police force.
Definitely leaving with style, that's true! The devs should change it slightly so that you can keep the stealth bonus. Similar to other heists where you get stealth bonus just for reaching a certain point in stealth.
Yes sir
Yes sir!
@@Marcmb Thank you!
@@raylen5232 No problem! Glad that helped :)
