My predictions: Rome Avanti Lap 1: Rome Avanti 1 Lap 2: Rome Avanti 3 Lap 3: Rome Avanti 2R Madrid Drive Lap 1: Madrid Drive 1 Lap 2: Madrid Drive 3 Lap 3: Madrid Drive 2R I see literally no reason why Nintendo wouldn’t just have us go to the finish line when it’s that close on Madrid and Rome
because Nintendo doesn’t like to use the 2R variants unless there is no other way to go. Madrid 2R is just a worse version of Madrid 2, and Rome 2R uses road that would go unused. Also, they put the second starting line close to the first on on Athens. don’t see why that should change here.

VV2R has like one building that you cant see. Regardless, VV2R has stuff you can look at while gliding, while MD2R literally has nothing but a building
I enjoyed this video. Might as well add my two cents. I feel like as evidence being that Ansterdam and Singapore are in the same way is that as long as it doesn’t detract from gameplay nintendo would rather doing weird turn arounds as shown in the rome alt route than add a second starting gate. As for madrid, since turning around isn’t easy without a starting gate I don’t see the issue with doing 2R for lap 3 (unlike rome which would’ve had a REALLY weird glide for 2R). Nintendo has been fine with using R variants if they don’t detract from gameplay, and in this case it might even benefit the track since it means that both the intense (and only) glide and shortcut are at the end of the track (which nintendo REALLY likes doing having)
Amsterdam doesn’t really have weird turns. the only bad turn is the ending turn which easily could’ve been fixed if they had you do 3’s full ending (idk why they decided to rush the track to the end). Most of the buildings and landmarks you see in Madrid 2 were specifically turned to face the correct direction, so the R variant is not only rather bland, but you also dont get a good look of some of the landmarks. The only other track with this issue that has you take the R variant is Vancouver with one singular landmark, and there wouldnt even be a good way to turn away in Vancouver anyways, so they dont have a choice here. Madrid has multiple landmark you wouldn’t get a good look at in 2R. It’s not like it would take a huge amount of time to make a new starting line either, because the structure of it is already there.
@@Roxleton although the madrid landmark stuff is a fair point, Amsterdam literally has you do a 180 (which has you even collide with drivers behind you almost every time) when lap 3 starts just to go into the pipe.
@koosloo_ulia colliding with drivers is fair, although established in Paris to a less extent. That Amsterdam turn isnt even that difficult, especially if you break drift. It’s definitely nothing compared to the turns at the end of the race.
@@koosloo_uliait’s not that the turns are too tight, it’s just that the route itself is way too confusing and unintuitive compared to just porting in an asset from tour and calling it a day. Rome 3 also feels much better as the second lap as a “transition” into Rome 2. I personally think Nintendo would rather be more “consistent” with the routing of a track rather than having you use take a bunch of unnecessary turns, or using parts of other variants (if that makes any sense). The only exceptions are the tracks that need you to turn around to take a variant in the correct way (ex: berlin or Amsterdam). All of the other tracks either use a second starting line, have all 3 variants going in the same direction, use an R variant, or combines two of the variant. So basically, what I’m saying is that I think Nintendo would rather add a another starting line opposed to using parts of another variant while going through a variety as a transition to another variant to make the track flow better I kinda explain that horribly but I think you get the point
My plans: Rome Avanti: Ridter had this for his first video: ruclips.net/video/uacyAbkxDxY/видео.html First lap: Rome Avanti 1 Second lap: Start by traversing Rome Avanti 2 backwards, but take the southeast exit of the roundabout in la Piazza del Pópolo and go down Rome Avanti 2 normally until you get back to the roundabout; take the south exit. Final lap: Rome Avanti 3. Rome Avanti (alternate): This is a three-section track. I like how easy it is to predict the routes for these 3 courses
