It takes time to finish the shooting. Imagine how many error and cuts they made alone on that river crossing. For such a long period of time that the dress has expose to the sun and wind it will dry sooner, plus the fact that the upper part of the body generates more heat than the lower part. It’s a movie it’s not a reality survival show.

Glad to see these shows still on RUclips, The show was good for it's time except for all the fake germans getting shot. a little overacting, and the ratio of kills is about 10 to 1 , but still a great show ! The Sarge and the regular characters never die , but sad to hear about Vince Morrow's death in real life.
if any one of our guys had been waf with a carbine, he could have killed all 5 Germans before they could get prone/covered. at that range, it only takes 1/4 second per man, especially if you can brace your rifle over a log, a corpse, or your backpack The first one would never know what happened. The second one might have a flash of reality before he's hit. The third one would be unable to collapse his knees before being hit. the fourth one would be hit as he tried to go prone and the fifth man would be hit as he hit the ground. Instead, their flopping around incompetence let others be hurt. Two men, setting up an ambush, would have made this 100% guaranteed. because all 5 would have been hit in 1/2 second, before they could even possibly move. to counter the US ambush
One of the few episodes i hadn't seen as a kid. I wonder why when a German tried to escape or grab a GIs they just didn't shoot that German. oh well, TV.
