Very smooth as usual Jay! I love how naturally it all flows. A common everyday event that is magical to me...it would have to be that first sip of coffee in the morning. That has to be it. If I don't talk to you before, I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and a happy new year! 🎶☕️
Seeing ur videos or magic everyday is magical..... plus from nature I find magnets and smartphone the technology of talking from way apart very magical
I show small coin tricks to my neighbous's kids every day for practice and it's their reaction when they can't belive what they saw, that is magical. P.S. Your channel got me into magic.
Me waking up in the morning is pretty magical. 😄 Just want to let you know that I retired at the beginning of the year and stumbled across your channel and because of that I now have a new hobby for my retirement. Thanks!
Your magic is always so practical. You take objects that people see and use everyday and make little mysteries and miracles. I live in Michigan, so the sparkling of newly fallen snow at night is an 'every day event' that seems MAGICAL to me.
The miracle of birth and being there as my son was born both magical common things. Great version of a shuttle Juan is a genius and such a treat to watch
I like the thought I referring to this as a trick with “paper money” Water is very magical for me. There density as a liquid, floats as solid, and refractive properties
I'm an Elementary School Music teacher. Something magic to me is when children can perform something that they have created and everyone else is supportive and encouraging. Also, when my 5 year old performs cups and balls.
Great one Sankey! Totally adding this to the repertoire... So many directions to take the reveal! Every day magic has to be being a parent and seeing my daughter grow and learn... Have a great holiday!
Great trick Jay! Something "magical" to me is the fact that my SmartPhone has more computing power than all of the computers that were used in the Apollo 11 mission combined.
Thanks for the free effect..and those most common magical thing to me is waking up everyday and experiencing life and watching all the people I pass by living their own little book and talking to Random people who share stories and being involved in their world. That to me is magical.
Magical? Every second of our lives is magical and miraculous. The billion cells in our body to work perfectly and when we're able to see or smell or walk or talk. We all take it for granted. I know it sounds a little cliche
A common every day moment that is very magical: Sunset - in any season - even over the ice in winter! This is a wonderful versatile effect Jay, thanks for sharing. You mentioned something I've been thinking about often - left hand / right hand. As a left-handed magician, I'd love to share thoughts about practice and learning. There is always an amount of transposing that occurs for southpaws. What has been interesting is learning through videos - it is like practicing in front of a mirror. Mimicking the movements of the video is actually mirroring them. Lefties often have to tune out the words "left hand, right hand" and follow the action. It's not always easy, but your teaching vids are very helpful. My tip to any other sinister magi - when reading, think of dominant hand or natural hand when you read "right hand". When watching, consider the mirror image. Your mirror twin, your glass doppelgänger is always of the opposite hand - and so it usually is when watching a video. Whether one is dexter, or sinister - it still all comes down to practice and do what feels right, what works well. Merry Christmas Jay! and a happy Boxing Day too!
Love your videos What's magical to me is when you wake up in the morning and can remember your dreams from the night. I don't often remember my dreams once I wake up but something about knowing your mind went on its own adventure while you were asleep and then being able to wake up and can recall that adventure your mind took is magical to me. I love when I can remember my dreams whether they were good or bad.
Jay, the most magical event for me would be waking up everyday watching the sun rise, knowing that another day has approached. Then ending everyday with a very magical and beautiful sunset. Then especially on Tuesday's and Thursday's (Some times even Saturday and Monday!) After watching the sunset waiting for your next magical video!
I love that the wit you display makes your videos serve equally as entertainment besides the awesome magic instruction. Watching your goofy humor, I can't help but laugh and wonder at the absurdities produced by your quirky imaginative mind. Every time I wake up in the morning I open my eyes to find an entire world has materialized out of nowhere seemingly.
My magical common everyday event is the automatic door of shopping mole.Love the switch Jay 👍👍👍and please drop a video of you performing for yor family.I would love to see yor family.
Maybe it sounds cheesy but the night sky has always been magical to me. Looking at all those stars and thinking about the vastness and mostly unexplored nature of space. It's incredible!
Forget whether people decide that this or that thoughts of yours is cheesy or lame or whatever. We cannot dare to give others a second thought. We have far more important and pressing things to explore.
Heyy jay I would just like request a more in depth tutorial on the "palming"........could be a card a coin or anything you would probably use in a trick ..... cheers bro
It always seems magical to me how a parent can instantly identify their childs cries, out of all the children in the world. Love is a very strong force i suppose :)
I love this, Jay. I love the whole idea of being able to produce something tangible from a representation. Altering the state of something is so fascinating, I think simply because it's unnatural, supernatural, if you will, and within that can be found real magic. Very nice, sir.
Thanks Jay!do u think is also magical to use flashing paper or diy flashing paper..and then use the lighter instead( as u mention..)to magically appear the coin?
I love this concept! I'll get to my "entry" to win in just a sec. I need to set the background before it makes sense. I am a computer technician by trade. So, I am always installing or working on printers. So, yeah, you can bet your 3D-printed bottom dollar I'm gonna be using this. I already have a couple of different ideas. I can go with, "This new printer is fantastic. It prints things SOOOOO realistically." I'll have a file on my laptop that I can send to the new printer. Then, cut it down to size a little bit, you know, so the spectator can "focus" on the quarter. Then go in to a bit emphasizing how "realistic" the prints are and that sometimes whatever is printed seems to just "jump off the page" or "it looks like it could just slide right off the page," as I do the reveal. Or, when finish working on a printer, I could send my "test page" from my laptop, and go into a bit about "Well, it seems like the problem was that you somehow managed to get this quarter down in the printer." Yeah, I'm gonna have so much fun with this. As for my "everyday event" well, OK, I guess now just working on a printer is going to be my "everyday event." But, I also have to go into schools to work on our staff's computer equipment. The agency I work for focuses on mental health and the staff in the schools are counselors. Lots of times, the kids they work with are there when I am. So, that's an opportunity to give some kids who don't really have an easy time a little "extra" entertainment. So, yeah, I guess I have 2 "everyday events" now. Does that mean I get 2 entries, Jay? ;)
AWESOME trick J! I watched the switch portion of the video numerous times and even when I know you are making the switch I can't tell you're doing it! Thanks again for sharing a trick with us! Do professional magicians ever give you a hard time for showing magic tricks to the public/on RUclips? Happy holidays!
Sometimes - but mostly they 'get' that tricks are being REVEALED without any respect or education or insight everywhere...and that I'm one of the guys trying to move things in a positive direction.
defiantly you do jay! I am a better magician because of you and your work. And when people ask me how to learn magic, I refer them to your channel here. Thanks man!
A magical everyday event? I would say the automatic opening sliding doors of grocery stores. We take them for granted I think but I like to pretend I’m a Jedi and wave a finger subtly in the direction I open the door.
Walking outside surrounded by beautiful views is something magical. Also emptying a full bladder might feel magical, especially after a long car drive.
The premise is dream like and the the directness is really sic. Thank you and crossing the gaze. Your sentiments about the holidays are really insightful too because i do tend to shun the season like a bridge troll being shuned by so many villagers. To enter your contest, the most magical, nay miraculous, day to day occurance in my life would have to be that i continue to get up and go to work for this gong show i call a career! Thanks Jay, happy holidays to you and yours.
I love this dude! seen him twice in NY and his personality is like this 24/7 . The switch is so damn devious . I watched it a half dozen times till I finally saw the move. G'damn I smiled from ear to ear. I will definitely use this move in the future. always eating McD's and always think i finished my fries yet always 1 or 2 left in bag... every time.
Merry Xmas Jay! how do you have the time to read And reply. either way , its nice to know the site isn't deaf and blind. Still a fantastic switch. great job Jay.
I love this trick jay! That’s for one. and for two, I’m not sure if anyone wrote this down, But I think simply waking up every morning is magical...the fact that we wake up :) I know it sounds corny, But it doesn’t make it any less true. Thank you for always inspiring people jay. Never give up! Ps I like when you talk about random stuff- It makes it more interesting ;) Have a great day my friend.
Crossing the Gaze: Tony Slydini, Double Crossing the Gaze: Juan Tamariz, Shuttle Pass: David Roth yes, but possibly as old as Discouverie or Witchcraft, Reginald Scott, 1584 depending on how one defines the move. Great blending of the two moves and incorporation of them into a modern theme. How about using a lighter to “develop” the 3-D coin instead of the paperclip? By the way, Cotton Mather was pissed after reading Discouverie due to the fact that it contained no instructions about how to properly hang or press witches. He had to figure that out on his own. It took 19 tries to get it right in the case of the former.
Yesterday I was come back home after visiting my brother in law outside of town with my family. After 4 hours drive we finally arrived home exhausted and longing to hit the bed. Except for my 5 months old daughter, she is really excited arriving home so she can PLAY with her parents, which is me, and my wife, who is really tired and just want to sleep. And that, Jay. Is what I call MAGICAL.

Deja-vu... Like when you travel somewhere you've never been but have the unshakeable feeling that you've definitely been there before. To me, that's "magical".
I think this is a great trick! However, and I know audiences probably will never think about this, but isn’t there kinda no reason for the paper clip to be there (for the audience)?
Speaking for all us drunken hobos with nude turtles. Using all these big fancy words "Ubiquitous". Before happy hour??? LOL... Jay love this fairly simple but powerful trick 👍 Magical common everyday event? (Bowel movement) Might not be pretty but to an old guy like me it's magical. 😂
Even just light switches are ‘magical’. Because we have lived with them all our life, we don’t appreciate it for the magic. If you showed a person from 200 years ago a light switch and how it worked, I’m sure you would get a similar reaction to showing them a big reaction card trick, such as the Omni deck or a clean ACAAN.

Great point. Being able to communicate instantly from great distances IS a very powerful and magical thing.
SankeyMagic ☺☺☺☺
I show small coin tricks to my neighbous's kids every day for practice and it's their reaction when they can't belive what they saw, that is magical. P.S. Your channel got me into magic.
I'm soo glad my videos have been a help to you. Keep going.
Me waking up in the morning is pretty magical. 😄

Thanks!

Beee-utiful. Thanks for the imagery amigo.
Amazing , Sankey, infact most of your effects are simple, beautiful. Thanks for sharing your wisdom.
The miracle of birth and being there as my son was born both magical common things. Great version of a shuttle Juan is a genius and such a treat to watch
I like the thought I referring to this as a trick with “paper money”
Water is very magical for me. There density as a liquid, floats as solid, and refractive properties
Yes!! This is great!! Honestly my little kids smiles and laughter is 100% magical! Something I hope will never lose it’s magic to me!
I doubt it will!
I think that cooking is magical, being able to make a wonderful meal and create brilliant flavours from just simple ingredients is amazing
When the sun comes up and the mountains are capped with snow... Sky is blue and I feel refreshed and healthy...
I'm an Elementary School Music teacher. Something magic to me is when children can perform something that they have created and everyone else is supportive and encouraging. Also, when my 5 year old performs cups and balls.
I think that not failing my maths test is magical
Your random humor is great, sir. As always, love the magic. Thanks for constantly bringing it to us!
Great one Sankey! Totally adding this to the repertoire... So many directions to take the reveal! Every day magic has to be being a parent and seeing my daughter grow and learn... Have a great holiday!

Frost on the grass every morning that vanishes not long after it arrives. Reminds me of so many tricks everyday.
Thanks for the free effect..and those most common magical thing to me is waking up everyday and experiencing life and watching all the people I pass by living their own little book and talking to Random people who share stories and being involved in their world. That to me is magical.
"Living their own little book." Ooooo doggie - I love that. Big thanks.
Magical? Every second of our lives is magical and miraculous. The billion cells in our body to work perfectly and when we're able to see or smell or walk or talk. We all take it for granted. I know it sounds a little cliche
Yehuda Wildes You took my answer! 😅

All the best to you and your family too! I hope next year is a GREAT one for you. And thanks for the insightful comment.
I find myself rewatching the the trick before the reveal, just to see if I can catch what your doing.
My every day magic is sunset here in Texas.
Love your videos
What's magical to me is when you wake up in the morning and can remember your dreams from the night. Somebody's a real poet. #aFAN

You damn clever Jedi wizard. I love this idea! You could also reverse it and make the coin become printed. So many cool ideas with this.
You kind-hearted human! Thanks Josh.
Me practicing and perfecting my sleights everyday is pretty magical to me

Fire has always seemed “magical” to me.
2:11 had me dying lmfao
It always seems magical to me how a parent can instantly identify their childs cries, out of all the children in the world. Love is a very strong force i suppose :)
Beautiful. I love that....
This trick amazed me!
Don't you love that? I DO!
I love this, Jay. I love the whole idea of being able to produce something tangible from a representation. Altering the state of something is so fascinating, I think simply because it's unnatural, supernatural, if you will, and within that can be found real magic. Very nice, sir.
As usual, you and I enjoy much the same things. Peace to you and yours boss.
The flick of a switch ( let there be light!) Of course, I see and hear things that aren't there all of the time(television and radio.)
Thanks Jay!do u think is also magical to use flashing paper or diy flashing paper..and then use the lighter instead( as u mention..)to magically appear the coin?
Terence Landon Palma thats really good
And then instead of taking a paperclip you take a lighter

Hey Jay! How do you always come up with these principles and ideas ?
I force my poor little mind to FOCUS on illusions illusions illusions.....
True dat...
What an amazing guy!

Wow. Just wow 😮

LOL. Awesome. May the force be with you.
Mr. Sankey can I ask a question, when you perform magic do you still mess things up? Thanks
Oh yeah, I def mess up tricks. No matter how 'good' you get - there's always a chance to mess up something.
Then what do you do after messing up?
And......when was the last time you mess
now that's what you call magic😤
Thanks Robbie!
magic is magical.
Wonderful stuff......
Great Trick, Jay!
I love waking up next to my beautiful wife. We met on the net - we were both rubbish trapeze artists!!!
Wow.
The most magical thing is the earth, the way it was created, the way it became habitable
Walking outside surrounded by beautiful views is something magical. Also emptying a full bladder might feel magical, especially after a long car drive.
We MUST be related! ;)
The premise is dream like and the the directness is really sic. Thank you and crossing the gaze. Your sentiments about the holidays are really insightful too because i do tend to shun the season like a bridge troll being shuned by so many villagers.

Dear Bridge Troll - may your holidays be filled with just the right amount of NOG. Not too much, not too little.
Painting a house. One day its beat up and ugly, after it is beautiful, pops and stands out. Painting houses is my main magic trick.
I worked as a painter of houses for a couple of summers. Amazing how quickly paint transforms!
I love this dude! seen him twice in NY and his personality is like this 24/7 . The switch is so damn devious . I watched it a half dozen times till I finally saw the move. G'damn I smiled from ear to ear. I will definitely use this move in the future.
always eating McD's and always think i finished my fries yet always 1 or 2 left in bag... every time.
The unexpected 'bonus fries!' LOL. Perfect.
Merry Xmas Jay! how do you have the time to read And reply. either way , its nice to know the site isn't deaf and blind. Still a fantastic switch. great job Jay.
this is a cool one dude 😃
4:50 I thought that Canada has metric system now...;)
I love this trick jay!
That’s for one. and for two,
I’m not sure if anyone wrote this down,
But I think simply waking up every morning is magical...the fact that we wake up :)
I know it sounds corny,
But it doesn’t make it any less true.
Thank you for always inspiring people jay.
Never give up!
Ps I like when you talk about random stuff-
It makes it more interesting ;)
Have a great day my friend.
Thanks for the smart insights and positive vibes buddy.
WHAT!! Technology is magic😱😂
Coming clean. Hahaha
"I didn't know it was counterfeit, your honor."
I know it's cliche, but watching my kids grow and learn everyday is magical to me.
Hey, you and I are old enough to know: cliches become cliches because they are FILLED with truth.
Children laughing seems very magical and people falling in love...
Crossing the Gaze: Tony Slydini, Double Crossing the Gaze: Juan Tamariz, Shuttle Pass: David Roth yes, but possibly as old as Discouverie or Witchcraft, Reginald Scott, 1584 depending on how one defines the move. 19 is a lucky number! ;)
That’s noose to me and I wouldn’t hang my fortune on it! ( };
It's a Festivus miracle!
That's what she...
Love it.
LOL!!! Sorry to kill the joke but a three pawed leopard would still be deadly at the olympics!!!! LOL!!! ❤️😂❤️😂❤️
He said a lot of magicians would catch the switch. I didn't see any Nintendo Switch.......
Show.
an every day event i find magical? cheese being made.
Ok, now THAT'S cheesy!
"One of my favorite sites"...I am not going to Google that. LOL
LOL!
Hi Jay love this trick I'd say when a baby is born is a very duplicate event
It would be more amazing if we reverse the concept, i mean lets show the coin first and get a random paper then do a switch and you can show how it dissolved in the paper, or if you do this way, every time you start with that folded paper with an imprinted coin will give a clue of previous preparation.
A good mark on a test is magical to me :)
Exquisite :)
Very kind!
2:13 Shashalumachiminikalantafoto - kotolita
You are an excellent speller! ;)
Gary Kurtz contributes"crossing the gaze" to Juan... So i would just blame him.
how were hurtling through space infinitely is pretty magical if you ask me lol
I didn't even saw the switch when you explained it😅
Ta da!!! ;)
Deja-vu... Like when you travel somewhere you've never been but have the unshakeable feeling that you've definitely been there before. To me, that's "magical".
Gorgeous point. Mystery.
Play my guitar and not being aware of anything around me. That's one type of real magic
Yes oh yes. The Artist vanishing...into the art. I too can relate to that experience. #luckyUS
I think this is a great trick! However, and I know audiences probably will never think about this, but isn’t there kinda no reason for the paper clip to be there (for the audience)?
Watching tv is a magical event. Plz pick me jay.
Snow
Oh yes.
Hey, I've seen videos of your bowel movements online - and they are DEFINITELY magical.
Every day magic event. Stare at the sun set. Just that
YES!!
j'aimerai être un très grand magicien pour te faire changer de look
