A quick tip for WD5 if you're working with a lot of dust - using a clean (new) filter and a vacuum bag (that doesn't mess up the filter right away) makes a huge difference in suction power. Dust kills power without a vacuum bag really fast and you can clean the filter as much as you want, you'll never get it as clean as it was. I haven't cleaned my filter in probably 2 months and I work with it all weekends cleaning brick and concrete dust. Before I was using the bag I had to clean it every 15min if I was cleaning a lot of dust.
@@lahaart You don't need a dust bag In Karcher either. They both designed for that. But it is much better for a vacuum cleaner if you have one. Vacuuming (dry) dirt without a dust bag and filter will destroy any electric motor of the vacuum cleaner in very short time.
@@OXiG96 it works great! The motor is strong, not too loud, I use it mostly for vacuuming my house, and for sawdust. My only complaint would be the hose, it tends to kink pretty easily, thats something i dislike. But nothing serious! I'd say go buy it
I have the Parkside and I think it's great. I use the filter but I wrap one layer of kitchen roll paper around the filter, when it needs changing I just tear the kithen paper off and put another piece around. Saves having to buy a new filter, it has lasted years.
Now that is what I call a review! Great stuff sir. Thank you! The WD3 has a cylindrical filter like the parkside. I wonder if it's any better than the WD5.
Thanks for the support. The WD3 definitely works better concerning the filter issue, unfortunately it doesn't have the plug in option. But if you don't need to plug in secondary machines the WD3 is the better choice.
I use the size 1 and 1/0 Mustad hooks to freeline for snook ruclips.net/user/postUgkxzXmlErSqVAEGWFEKO530BvTqFDw53QW3 and they have been fantastic. The points are super sharp, and the hook is small enough to blend with my baitfish, yet large enough to land fish 30" or more. I also use these hooks when I'm pier or surf fishing with my kids. They tend to catch tons of smaller snapper, whiting, and catfish, and we get far fewer gut hooks with these Mustad in-lines, which means more of them survive after release. I was actually using these hooks when I caught my friend too, but I think that had more to do with the bait I was using ;-)
Please note that Karcher does not need to change filter. You can clean it and reuse. For Parkside you need to buy filter (€35) every time. These are extra cost for parkside.
on hard surfaces, pretty much any vaccum will do, but my interest is on RUGS, because the commercial vacuums don't come with special "shacking feature that some premium 1k dollar vacuums that are used in hotels come with. Or like the old designs were in the 50's with sack. Those are actually better than these because they shake up the surface, not just stick to it like these modern ones do.
I have bought a Kärcher WD6 and made the same observation regarding the filter. I guess you have to use the vacuum cleaner with a bag. Otherwise you have to clean the Filter permanently. There are also reusable bags.
Hi there can you tell me how to unblock a Karcher WD2 Premium Vaccum hose??? It has a bottle top stuck in it at the top end of the hose PLEASE HELP 🙏🙏🙏

Great video, at 12min 20sec is the dust being sucked in to the side of the hose, that's laying near the dust... May have a small hole.. Any way thanks for the video 👍

I have spent ages looking at wet and dry vacuums and the reviews are not great for any of them; this excludes the Parkside one though, only because I didn’t know it existed! Time and again I see people complaining about these modern vacs having less suction and poor quality tools and this includes the expensive Henry models and also the Karcher WD6, which was the one I most favoured. I’ll now keep my eye out for one of these Parkside models, although I’m not sure whether they are available in the UK.
Are your aware of the filter cleaning function on the kärcher? It creates an air vortex That cleans the filter Edit: I just rewatched it and saw you briefly mention it
Hi, thanks for the excellent review. Just a quick question...Are you using bags in the vacuums? I'd have thought even the Parkside would require more regular filter checks without a bag.
@@lahaart - Completely disagree. Specially if you tend to use it more in house environment. Use bags! Something to consider, my workshop vacuum used WITH bags. The filter had to be washed today for the first time in little more than 5 years! Because I left water inside! If it was not for that, the filter was still amazingly clean after all this time. Due to the bags! ;-)
@@crpth1 using bags when vacuuming in the house is a good idea specially when you have animals, considering the fact of smell, but in the workshop where I vaccum manly sawdust, bags are not necessary. Thanks for your input.
Thanks, I will buy some bags and hope that helps! I have the same issue as shown at the end of the video; the cleaning function only helps for a minute or two, until the dust is sucked into the filter again, really frustrating.
Can you vacuum dust (a car for example) and then vacuum something wet (like wet car seats) without changing filters? Because i see all these dry/wet vacuums, but you have to change bags and filters every time and it’s gotta be a pain in the ass.
The "dry" filter MUST be removed every time you want to use it for liquids. By dry filter, I mean the bag and the (usually) HEPA filter. Most commonly they get replaced by a simple foam sleeve, to protect the motor from major splashing. Either case this last part is dependent on the particular model/brand. Regarding the removal of the filter. Please don't even try to use it with the bag (full of dust/debris). You'll thank me later! What happen is very simple. The bag with all it's contents when wet. Start degrading into "compost". All fine, until you realize it will, really fast, turn into an anaerobic condition! Or in other words it will smell TERRIBLE! Just a couple of weeks ago I used it to wet vacuum my sofa. The plan was to throw away the full bag immediately after! BUT, In all honesty, I totally forgot the thing afterwards! Result, this morning I turn it ON inside the house... We almost died with the foul smell. I disassembled the vacuum out in the garden. I add to wash ALL parts! With "Vanish Oxy" and hot water! The smell is still pungent... Let that be a lesson! ;-) Cheers Edit: For your own sake. when using it for "wet". Make sure the last thing you vacuum is clean water. This way the system is cleaned (more or less). After dumping all the water, make sure to let it dry completely. Before storing it. The hose is better to be left hanging to drain & dry! ;-)
Don't think you can get a silencer for this kind of models. Kärcher has it's own eco line which are designed to be more quiet. If you use a bag you can reduce the noise a bit but apart from that I can't think of anything else.
