H .. you are no ordinary guitar player .. plainly evident by your consistent surgical precision fretting and touch , virtually perfect integration with right hand, deft use of plectrum and very economical technique, made even more impressive by those enviably long fingers that can probably do 7 fret arpeggios if you felt like it. I practice 35 hours / week and I may never achieve what you can currently do. you have a gift. I'll be keeping an eye out for Afterlife.
Sovereign Sentience not gonna lie ( no offence to halsb) but this isnt the hardest song out there, to be honest i would like to see an attempt at ttfaf from him......
Nice job, dude! Synyster Gates and Zacky V would be proud of you :D - I've been a fan of A7X since hearing Beast and the Harlot from City of Evil a la Rock Band 3, and I've been listening to them ever since \m/ - Also, nice guitar, I'm guessing you're a Pantera/Dimebag Darrell fan? I don't see many Deans nowadays, but that one just looks way badass
Yea bro. Definitely recommend. Just like guitar hero, they have different difficulty settings. It's been a year since you commented, so pretty sure at you might've got it by now. But keep practicing. This game is boss asf!
Check if there is anything in/on the tuning peg, nut, and bridge that might be cutting the string (like a sharp edge). The only other thing you can do is change tunings less often or use heavier strings
Personal preference. Sometimes I'll use the 3rd finger and sometimes I'll use the 4th. Typically, you use fingers 1-3-4 for power chords, so removing the 3rd finger makes it an octave chord
I would love to be able to actually do this, but Rocksmith doesn't like picking up what I play. I can 100% a song one time, then 50% the next time without missing a single note on my guitar. I think my version just hates me.
BLAZING waffle56 I have Rocksmith on PS3 and Rocksmith 2014 on PC; I've calibrated the lag on both. Even on the technique practice things, when notes are coming at you slow as anything, it still does not pick it up. It's mostly on the lower strings, so I'm thinking perhaps I should try other pickups or something.
+BLAZING waffle56 I don't know if you are still having these problems but for me it helped to adjust the screws in my pickups to move them closer the strings ultimately making the guitar louder and easier for Rocksmith to pick up the notes
Check your intonation. Biggest problems any guitar player has with Rocksmith's note detection it seems is either lag, bad tuners, or intonation. If your intonation is out of whack, you'll sometimes "hit" notes while other times "miss" them despite knowing you hit them
oldGnRrocks1 If you listen closely, you can hear it. Also, look up on youtube there are some songs with just guitar parts, nightmare being one of them. Makes it easier to learn guitar parts.
AirCommando12 still.. if you were playing it by yourself, it would sound weird to just hold on the the chord, and would also sound weird to only bend the E string... thats why i like to bend both the E and A string together
Robert Atkins Im on PC so I do have external speakers but whem I disable audio exclusivity my sound from the game completely stops and I cant hear anything
Kevin nothing, I just never come across it (youtube or if im at a gaming store) so I was pretty surprised this popped up in my recommended on youtube. it looks hella complicated though
Nicely done! I can ace the first 45 seconds of the song...
same but I can ace at most 2 minutes
At mate you learn it yet?
MrSkrub woooosh

Alex Same here.. my hands are smaller than those of most girls ._. But I'm sure I can get very good if I just practice hard enough
+Shu TV I feel your pain, I've compared to a good bunch of girls and even some smaller children and lost, seriously :, (
Are some people just naturals? between work and school I get maybe 15-20 hours in a week and I can still play this
I can do 8 fret arpeggios no joke lol
Sovereign Sentience not gonna lie ( no offence to halsb) but this isnt the hardest song out there, to be honest i would like to see an attempt at ttfaf from him......
here come the views!
+Riff Repeater Ellison, you got some competition!! :D
I love you
Riff Repeater ye
1:48 That is just the best noise ever on guitar imo.
Crazy... O_o kasnitch just sum it all in his message. Congratulations dude, waiting for your next amazing video !
I love your videos. You are truly one of the best Rocksmith players I've ever seen. Were you already experienced in guitar before starting RS?
Nice job, dude! Great job! Keep uploading please :)
Damn halsb! Keep it coming. Awesome stuff.
awesomeeeee !!
This is so fucking cool, man!
Damn. This is amazing.
amazing
just wow
impressive!
nice
never seen rocksmith before, came here from watching guitar hero, is rocksmith accurate to how you play the song irl?
Rocksmith is literally the actual song. You plug a real guitar into it. So, yes.
just use your real amp instead of speakers, sounds way better
Caederre Toua it does
man you learn all these songs using rocksmith?

John Wick ur comment has been a year to hahah
Ur 100% right
This game beast (:
Has riff repeater not commented on this video yet?
God dammit that is hard
Why can’t you get it anymore?
2:20 That's a close one lmao
Is that a Dean Baby ML I see in the corner? ;)
would like to see all of the song, got an upload of it on master instead of just hard?
Hard has all of the notes. Master doesn't show you what to play.
my game on master shows all the notes just had to turn off that section and it had way more than hard did.
Yeah, you played both guitars at the same time.
That's insane lmfao. But yeah just turn of dynamic difficulty and the notes should appear i think.
ruclips.net/video/hvLKZ-XB3Kw/видео.html
why not master mode 😢 jk f'ing awesome dude
I know this song
Such wow
Do Hail to the King
Yo Halsb I keep breaking my high e string on my gutair on my les Paul any rips to keep this from happening
Check if there is anything in/on the tuning peg, nut, and bridge that might be cutting the string (like a sharp edge). The only other thing you can do is change tunings less often or use heavier strings
just put of curiousity, why do you play with your fourth fibger on the g string on the octave chords?
Personal preference. Sometimes I'll use the 3rd finger and sometimes I'll use the 4th. Typically, you use fingers 1-3-4 for power chords, so removing the 3rd finger makes it an octave chord
that moment when you have played the exact same song 5 more times and your best is only a 90% fml
is that an ed roman? Havent seen one of those in a long time
Jon Wreath think its a Dean Guitar but maybe you're right
Can't even do solo at 1%speed. Any advice? Just memorize notes and work up at own pace?
Memorizing it and working it up to speed is how I usually do it
youre playing really good.
what's the name of the guitar you are using?
Looks like a Dean ML Hardtail.
+EJ Fields oke cool, thx man. does that kinda guitars have a whammy bar?
Death Metal Thrash Metal They're offered in Floyd Rose variations, yes.
its a dean ml chicago flame

+tomr4lph which console do you use and have you accounted for video lag

tomr4lph check your cable first before anything but yeah if its not the cable its your guitar
+BLAZING waffle56 I don't know if you are still having these problems but for me it helped to adjust the screws in my pickups to move them closer the strings ultimately making the guitar louder and easier for Rocksmith to pick up the notes

do you play in a band?
just need better tone man, but otherwise nice playing👌🏻
My best is only 86%
the only thing that bothers me is the verse... its 3 on the E and A strings, not just E...
If you mean like at 1:23, it's correct. Syn plays the 3rd fret bend on the E while Zacky plays the 3rd fret on the E, A and D strings with no bends.
how do you know thats how it was composed and recorded
oldGnRrocks1 If you listen closely, you can hear it. Also, look up on youtube there are some songs with just guitar parts, nightmare being one of them. Makes it easier to learn guitar parts.
AirCommando12
still.. if you were playing it by yourself, it would sound weird to just hold on the the chord, and would also sound weird to only bend the E string... thats why i like to bend both the E and A string together
oldGnRrocks1 Sounds fine to me, especially if it's on rocksmith because I can still hear the other guitar.
how do U record CLIPS with AUDIO !!! ??? ..and no lag
I use OBS to record.
+halsb But when I turn audio exclusivity off I cant hear abything in-game :(
+BlekNet from what i understand you hvae to buy external speakers to keep it from lagging
Robert Atkins Im on PC so I do have external speakers but whem I disable audio exclusivity my sound from the game completely stops and I cant hear anything
Have you tried changing the Audio Engine Settings?
OHHHH IT YOUR FUCKING NIGHTMARE. P.S could u do domination by Pantera plz
detection issues and bad charting, no thanks
@@halsb oh ok. It seems that all my favorite songs have detection issues or are bad charts
there are a lot of songs in game that I could easily 100% if high e bends detected better, and a lot of older charts have questionable note-tracks
Dude... play with the neck on a slight angle, not completely straight
+FkedUpMedia I know, but overtime he can fuck up his nerves and lose motion on his hand
+FkedUpMedia Yeah, kind of, but still the way his hand bends looks pretty unhealthy 😂
Upload your video performing this well....?
chadg12420 he never said he wasnt playing well? Lol
now with out the game lol
Why doest my rocksmith look like this
Different game mode
what exactly is different? The string layout, score attack score keeper, etc
Are you on RS1 or RS2014? halsb is playing RS2014 in Guitarcade's Score Attack mode AND has his strings flipped.
Not on master. Not impressed.
ruclips.net/video/hvLKZ-XB3Kw/видео.html
people actually play Rocksmith? lol
KMM what's wrong with it?
Kevin nothing, I just never come across it (youtube or if im at a gaming store) so I was pretty surprised this popped up in my recommended on youtube. it looks hella complicated though
KMM Ohh. It's not though, you're basically just following along to a song.
lol
Guys guys. Playing guitar is so simple you just follow what the chart tells you.. yeahhh
