Next time you make the arroz con pollo. add 1 can of beer or 1 cup of white wine and half the water. Also if you can find Valencia rice, you'll have authentic Cuban arroz con pollo.

I used your recipe and preparation, with different seasonings and more veggies, but it came out really delicious! I, too, "burned" the rice a bit (the pot said "burn") but I added a bit more water and the veggies, closed it back up and set the pressure cooker to a few more minutes. It said it was burning again. I just let it sit after that for about a half hour. When I opened it the texture of the rice was just perfect, the flavor amazing, and yes it did burn a little at the bottom. We call this pegao, I ate it all! Haha so good!
Loved your recipe! Second time I made it I sautéed the onion first for 3 min, then the bell pepper for 3 more minutes and then added all the stuff :). And some roasted diced tomatoes too. Very good and thanks 😊

Target has them too and Walmart has the 6 in 1. I bought a like new used one on amazon on prime day 9 in 1 for like $83.xx. good luck-amazon warehouse-was new.
I followed your recipe twice, and both times, my food burned! I added more water the second time, and it was worse! I don't know what pot you have, but it did not work with my 2019 pot. I'm angry that I had to throw away all that food when our budget is tight.
Are you sure you changed from sautée to pressure cook at the right time. It’s almost impossible to burn with that much water in the pot when in pressure cooking.

Some capers might give a good flavor add.
Use Goya pockets with saffron. Wait cheaper that is what we use for yellow or red rice.

I didn’t know it was expensive until a shared the recipe and a friend said it was pricey. Interesting! But the flavor it adds is amazing.
You can also just use Goya Sazon with achiote and it will give you nice color. I used one packet.

What country is this arroz con pollo. Mine is so similar but I add carrots and cilantro and just a spoon or two of tomato paste. (Colombian style)

I’m sorry to hear this. I purchased my instant pot in November of 2017.
Are you sure you changed from sautée to pressure cook at the right time. It’s almost impossible to burn with that much water in the pot when in pressure cooking.
It only cooks on pressure for 17 minutes. The 40 minutes includes the steam downtime. Set the timer for 17 minutes. Open it up after the 40 minutes.
