Hey man, it looks like that’s one of the ready rigs from a bad batch of elastic they got. My roommate had one that the elastic started going bad pretty quickly but he emailed them and they refunded him for it. We got the el-ready-rig-o a few months later and the elastic has held up fine with a decent amount of use. The rig has been solid for the few run n guns that I have competed in with it so far.
Made in Mexico isn’t a thing anymore. As the old manufacture was ripping them off and getting things made in Mexico but putting made in USA labels on them. . I believe there’s still a lawsuit about it.
I get what you say about price, but it is cheaper than other options, and it’s far cheaper than getting a war belt with all of the holsters and packs. So even though it may be over priced for what it is… it’s still one of the most affordable options for your average Joe who needs a way to hold mags and medical.
I grabbed one for $75 and couldn’t be happier. Sure it’s not the best, but I wasn’t paying for the best. I was paying for the cheapest I could find that wasn’t just some Chinese airsoft crap
I have this rig, its OK. Once I used it a few times I kind of benched it and use something else. I saw SOE is going to release sometime in the near future their own covert rig, kinda looks like this but pouches are positioned very differently. I'm very curious about that one but the price may be prohibitive.
I have the mexican version of the ready rig, it's my favorite rig so far, the only compilant I have with it is you can't attach any ferro, or ss, haley dangler to it. I probably going to buy me the ac1 to check out, also he is just getting started in the gear world.
I don’t understand some of the complaints. Bulky Velcro at the back? Even if it was, I don’t understand how that effects you in anyway. The green piece on the straps is not supposed to hold the strap in a certain place it’s supposed to prevent the x harness from getting tangled, which it does a great job of preventing that. And the ready rig wasn’t designed to go over body armor or a helmet. It’s supposed to be really low profile to fit under a jacket or larger shirt. I do agree on pricing complaint though. It isn’t worth $130, but like you mentioned, it’s out of stock often and the customers will pay that amount so you can’t really fault them for that.
It is a very specific piece of kit for a specific role. Pretty solid if you think you need one. Luckily they have held up very well from range use and being stuffed in a car door.
I bought one of these for Black Friday, about $75 I believe. Still seems over priced honestly. Only had it for a few weeks now and already might just going up on eBay.
Hated that rig, nothing stays in their pouches, the elastic and stitching was trash. They need better materials, and tie offs for each compartment. Their prototypes that took placards were much more interesting.
I do really like this rig for places where you don’t want people knowing you have 3 mags and medical on you (I live in a city and peaceful protests seem to appear from time to time)
The fitment is the most important part! Dude could always readjust it to himself.. complete waste of a review for me cause adjustability is the most important thing for me and it riding high specifically!
A lot of RUclipsrs make views and some money on trashing gear. Interesting, many of the dings talked about here are POTENTIALS. Really? Go buy a more expensive rig FFS! You're blessed.
The ready rig is purpose built for a specific role itis the cruel it's like buying a pair of altama Maritime assaults and saying they are uncomfortable AF 🤷🏼♂️
@@EODFish is this a general dislike towards slick carriers or T. rex arms? Because slick carriers have their place. Both slickster and AC1 are very durable and efficient for what they do
I have a pretty strong opinion that slick carrier provide nothing over full featured plate carriers at a significant cost to capability. A pouchless JPC conceals equally poorly. If concealing armor is your larp fetish, things like the Velocity ULV and specialized plates are immeasurably better. All that aside, the AC1 already has a significant track record for not being durable and is fairly poorly designed/assembled.
Understandable with the slick criticism, I believe a less expensive slick carrier is nice to leave under bed for your typical “bump in the night” fantasy
@@EODFish I think "Better" is also slightly subjective, it's certainly more durable etc. But it is also much bulkier than the ready rig. There is a "cost" to durability. . I have both and definitely can conceal the ready rig better, the BCR1 bulks up slightly more and it's very durable and a great rig for sure too. You have very thorough videos, and I enjoy then. I'd just keep in mind the intended use and design. You seem to give trex a more critical eye compared to your usual approach. Equally on price, I don't believe it's ever been near the same price as an AC1 and it's currently $110 (on sale for $75), I don't think anyone is beating that price with this capability.
I like the longer format, don't worry about rambling. Your expanded insight on design is what makes your channel a go to for me.
Nice table top first impressions… but no usage review - so limited value.

I’ll pass that along to its owner. Thanks.
I completely forgot this thing even existed
I forgot too
Don't blame ya
I think it costs $130 made in America. I haven’t seen anything about the made in Mexico thing
They have one just like the AC-Uno.
@@EODFish $130 is the american one

They made the first batches of these completely in house, so there was never a Mexican chest rig. That was the AC1 only.
Another viewer commented that they have a Mexican ready rig. I could have sworn I just got marketing about them last week.
Nice

That’s really apples to oranges though. This doesn’t really have anything to do with belt kit.
This chest rig is only $110 and frequently on sale for $75 if you're on their email list. I'd say price is spot on.
It’s much more palatable at $75, that wasn’t the case when this dropped.

How is the adjustment hight ? I’m 5-8” and like chest rigs to ride high, on my chest, not stomach.
1:55 How does the craftsmanship, functionality and robustness compare to the Unity Clutch??
It pales in all aspects but robustness. The clutch is tweave and inherently less durable.
Just found your channel. How about checking out the Condor Stowaway Chest Rig? Looks pretty interesting.
Condor isn’t high on my to do list but I won’t say no.
@@EODFish The only review I could find is theirs. Take a look at it if you would. Looks like an interesting concept.

SOE blows
i had one and it started fraying after less than a dozen uses
What model is that Beyond vest that you’re wearing? Zip-off sleeves are the coolest.
I’m not really sure. I probably bought it five years ago and it was already on clearance then.
Do you have a video covering a good chest rig that you recommend? Looking for something geared more toward wilderness expedition.
How many mags do you want to carry? That’s the driving factor.
@@EODFish Ideally, 8. But I suppose 6 might be more plausible.

I’m not a trex fan at all. But maybe that pass through is to marry it to a battle belt? Only thing I can think of.

love trex for what they teach n preach, but their gear is for sure entry/casual

Why are you showing up to protests with three AR mags in the first place?
Just a potential example of somewhere where you’d want to be discrete
The fitment is the most important part! Dude could always readjust it to himself.. complete waste of a review for me cause adjustability is the most important thing for me and it riding high specifically!
I’ll agree to disagree. An x harness in this basic of a configuration is essentially infinitely adjustable so it’s about my lowest concern.
Not made for bigger dudes.
