THIS is why they've replaced streetcars and interurbans (which run in street traffic) with light rail and commuter trains (which have their own separate tracks)!
TML Studios claimed that turning everything down minimizes the crash on computers that only meet the minimum requirements; the suggested requirements for processing speed and video card specs are much higher than that of our Mac systems. TML claims that their latest patch reduced the processing need, however, as you have mentioned, their software is just buggy in general. Therefore, the game may crash even though it is played on a good computer. I bought a 3.6ghz quadcore, I'll keep you posted

In Toronto the gong is generally used as an 'I am here' announcement while the horn is used in anger (usually at taxi drivers) There is a record of a PCC horn at this video: bi1XCBYaZoM
In the game, no, just the bell. In real life, yes (their successors in Toronto do too) in addition to the bell. I'm not sure whether they had them when new back in the 1930s: people knew what the streetcar gongs meant, nowadays only a car-style horn gets attention quickly enough.
Thanks for the quick reply. I tried to RUclips PCC horns but there really wasnt much for results. I figured they had horns, I have just never heard them before. Streetcars usually just need the gong.
Although their product should work without modification, TML Studios has claimed that turning everything down minimizes the crash on computers that only meet the minimum requirements; the suggested requirements for processing speed and video card specs are much higher than that of our Mac systems. I read that the i7 MacBook can boost the processing speed up to 3.33ghz. I wonder if that is in general or while it's operating in OSX. I ordered a 3.6ghz quad-core gaming computer with 8gb of ram
I have a mid-2010 Macbook Pro with a 2.66Ghz i7, so it shouldn't be that. I also shouldn't have to turn the traffic and pedestrians off, they're kinda important to the game! I think I had about a dozen attempts at making this video before that one worked, because it kept crashing. I made a point of saving the videos while I was stopped. However, you can't save your progress mid-run so it was back to the start every time it happened. I really was thinking of just giving up.
Does your computer have good specs? I tried the demo on my macbook pro 2.4 ghz and it crashed as well. I think the game needs 2.6 ghz dual core or higher. In addition, I think that sliding the AI traffic and pedestrians to off helps some. Try sliding all of the values to minimal settings. That might help. If it doesn't TML Studios just inherently sucks.
Great video I subscribed. I do have one question though: how do you drive the bus. I got my route from my supervisor and the bus was there but I couldn't get inside. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks again!
Nope. As per the video, I can't even get to the end of the route. The game also crashes if I drive north from the southernmost bus depot, so I think there's something in that part of the map that the game doesn't like to load.
Hi do you know why my game usually get crashed when the F arrives Ferry Plaza part? I looked at the event viewer it saids something wrong with VPhysX.vplugin, if you have that file, can you please copy one for me? Thx
this is why i hate pc gaming i'll never know if my computer is good enough for these games. i wish they could keep specs. similar to Microsoft Train Simulator lol i don't need amazing graphics just something that will play simply on most computers.

Yes, you're not forced to do anything, you can wander around the city. No passengers will get on unless you're driving a route, though.
I Believe that SF Sold one to the Sydney Streetcar Museum, and it has been painted in State Transit Cream/Lime

Only on RUclips could this "game" get over 53,000 views with this mic quality...
Stuck in virtual traffic jam...this is what are we living for. :D

Read the manual (it's in the game's directory), there's a lot to this game. Page 15 explains how to start up the bus.
OK thanks. Actually I read it and found out :) Thanks for all of your help and I subscribed!

Blackbelt20101 press f5 when you get close to the doors and does the game crash on you when you get to certain points of the map
Nope. As per the video, I can't even get to the end of the route. The game also crashes if I drive north from the southernmost bus depot, so I think there's something in that part of the map that the game doesn't like to load.
