I remember the sound of F3000 very well from the 90's. Because the rpm was limited at 9000 they had a lower sound than F1. Which was not always pleasant to the ear :)

I don't understand all the "sound" complaints. They all sound great to me. But, what I really love...is driver skill. What a car looks like or sounds like is a lower priority by far...for me.

F1 is the top tier series, Formula 3000 is a feeder series. Drivers graduate from formula 3000 to F2( GP2) then onto F1 if they have the stuff to compete.
