I think there are a lot more people around the world alone at Christmas than we realise. There's an enormous amount of 'pressure' in being seen to have a wonderful time when this isn't the reality- not even for those spending it with family and friends. Alone doesn't always mean lonely though. Sometimes I've actually chosen to Christmas alone with a low-key relaxing day stuffing myself with my favourite food treats 😊. I've had a couple where I was able to go away to hotels with other solo travellers and they were great fun! Didn't matter that I didn't know anyone before I went. Both types of Christmas have been very liberating taking me away from ridiculous expectations and aggravating family nonsense. But by far the best thing i've done at Christmas is volunteering at homeless shelters. There's always a great atmosphere and the people there actually appreciate everything!
Not weird at all that you don’t want a wedding! My husband and I got married last year. I felt obligated to have a small reception for family and friends. Luckily for me everything was canceled due to covid and I was able to keep it extremely small and intimate. I do not like being the center of attention and personally feel it’s a huge waste of money. Unpopular opinion I know but whatever you feel most comfortable doing I think that’s the route you should go! Glad to see you back in FL and so happy!

I’ve been married twice. My first wedding was a big production…. In front of a waterfall, released live doves, tons of people, and a lot of stress frankly. My second wedding, we eloped! Eloping was amazing. There were 4 people there total including us.

For future apartment deco needs: a stud is the wood board that is behind the drywall and is essentially the foundation of the wall. Drywall gets put up over the stud and is the wall that you paint (there's drywall mudding over top of the actual drywall but... you get the gist). Between the studs is where your insulation goes. You don't need an anchor screw when drilling into a stud because it's a solid piece of wood (like a 2x4, not plywood) and so it is strong enough to hold whatever you're attaching to it because the stud is screwed in place between the ceiling and the floor framing, so it ain't budgin'! For drywall, you know when you remove a screw from the wall and it has that powdery white stuff on it? That's from the drywall! Drywall is not strong at all and can rip away from the wall and crumble if you try to attach anything heavy to it, so you need the anchoring screw. What the anchoring screw does is goes into the drywall first, then you drill the threaded screw into that and when you do that the anchor splits into like a T shape (kind of more like the shape of an IUD) which means it can't rip out of the wall as easily. Hopefully that kind of makes sense!! It sounds complicated but it honestly isn't once you get the hang of it - it's definitely still intimidating but it's manageable. I attached wooden crates to my wall as bedside tables and that was the first time I had to use anchors and I was so scared but determined, and so far they're still hanging and it's been a couple years! LOL
Oh and to know if there's a stud you need a stud finder which beeps and lets you know where the stud is behind the drywall, but usually if you're attaching right above the window frame then there's studs there as they're holding the window in place. If you go from a corner too, my dad said studs are usually every 16-24 inches center to center (center of the stud to center of the next stud). Where you attached your rod hooks was likely just drywall but honestly for something of that weight I don't think it matters much as it isn't really heavy. Your window mirrors however would be super heavy and I would recommend hanging them from a stud, or with anchors like Noah did in the NYC apt. :)

i use vpns to access stuff in south korea sometimes or yeah to watch some kdramas not available in america or on netflix lol. i love vpns, they're the best. it's worth it to get freedom to do that kind of stuff, too. no more geo-locked restrictions!

do like weekly vlogmas videos like as a plus next to your schechule! that way you could be more committed and not afraid of not having enough content/program or so daily and not be sooo overwhelmed:) that way if there are days here and there where you don’t feel like picking up the camera, you’d have enough content! please please don’t put too much pressure on yourself (that much that you’d fail). ❤️

I live alone and honestly hate eating alone too! I find I don't enjoy shopping for food or cooking! I also eat a lot more snacks instead of meals (usually while distracting myself with tv/phone etc.) which I never do when living with somebody else! Great vlog 😊

Why don't you try to use your microwave? You can cook healthy food without using fire (and without cleaning the kitchen after cooking). We use the leuke steam case - I don't know the name in english, sorry, but the brand is leuke. You seem very happy since you moved to Florida.
I think you should try things other than online dating first like getting out more and talking to new people. Maybe join a sports league or volunteer. Who knows, maybe you'll meet someone at church.

So as someone who married my high school sweetheart 6 yrs ago, growing up I always thought big wedding center off attention…. Day came… it was so stressful to the point I don’t remember it hardly. I highly recommend having a court wedding or even just a tiny wedding. I just hate that we grow up thinking it has to be big and beautiful when it can still be beautiful and intimate.
I completely get the eating alone thing. When I had my own flat in London I would come home and have a bowl of cereal for dinner. Then my brother would come and stay and I'd make a full meal with meat and veggies. I had to force myself to batch cook and freeze stuff I could heat up, or I'd never have got any vitamins!
The older we get I feel like the less we want attention 😂 try having to explain to your family that you don't want an over the top gender reveal party because you'll have a shower and it's just embarrassing to do both 🤦🏼♀️ never in my younger days would I think I'd be like this LOL - p.s. you deserve all that nice money you earn 😁❤ love youuu.

So as someone who married my high school sweetheart 6 yrs ago, growing up I always thought big wedding center off attention…. Day came… it was so stressful to the point I don’t remember it hardly.
I highly recommend having a court wedding or even just a tiny wedding.
I just hate that we grow up thinking it has to be big and beautiful when it can still be beautiful and intimate.
I completely get the eating alone thing. When I had my own flat in London I would come home and have a bowl of cereal for dinner. Then my brother would come and stay and I'd make a full meal with meat and veggies. I had to force myself to batch cook and freeze stuff I could heat up, or I'd never have got any vitamins!
