Nice clean setup. I plan on getting a winch from Harbor Freight after hearing your endorsement for them. I kinda look at it like this... I have had a set of Porter Cable cordless tools...drill, impact, circular saw, etc for YEARS! They have never let me down and seem to perform just as well as my brother's high-dollar Dewalt stuff. I remember standing at Lowes years ago and thinking... Man, for the difference in price, I will give them a shot.
If I would have had a chunk of steel I probably could have made it pretty easily. That plow went as a package to my dad. I'll get a new one at some point.
BTW, have ya changed out your headlights for LEDs yet? I got a set of Spike for mine and they're amazing. Also heard Beamtechs are really good. Amazon has lots of choices.
not sure about a badlands winch, but warn and others say it voids warranty to spool the winch backwards as your recommending. something about the way the planetary gears are laid out in the gearbox i would assume.

My 2000 from harbor freight has worked great for what I used it for. Yours looks great and sounds quieter than mine
Subscribed for the winch installation, thanks!!
*The mount cost almost as much as the winch. Looks pretty good. Using the old plow or getting a new one?* #WorldsOkayestFarmer

I haven't looked into it yet. I'll check them out.

Why not turn the winch around to put the cable on top. If u unspool the winch rope you need 50# of tension to redpoll correctly
Where did you get the roller that mounts right up to your bumper? Did it come with winch?
Provided with the winch.
1. How did you mount the fairlead to the front - the holes don't line up.
2. Do you have a part number for the Kolpin adapter?
25-3370
Pretty sure I drilled new holes.
Did the badlands mounting plate that came with the winch not fit which is why you had to get the separate one?
if you had mounted the winch oriented the opposite way, would the cable have lined up correctly through the bumper?
I guess. I found a ton of mounts that had them mounting the opposite way. This mount was one of the only ones that had it mount (imo) the correct way.
What switch did you use and where did you get it?
I got it off amazon.
Did the remote end up working?
Yes it did.
