He rushed it. He had everything going for this manga, but he wanted it to be over. The number of inconsistencies really kept pilling up and every time Sukuna pulled something out of his a** the easy scapegoat explanation was “binding vow”. Made the whole binding vow system look like a joke anyone could abuse.
Honestly yall can’t even write a short story imagine trying to write. Whole ass manga and everyone’s crying and threating your life ffs it was fine ..

If we don’t at least get a sukuna backstory I’d be incredibly upset with this. So much talk about the different eras of jujutsu, the three vengeful spirits and all these other things literally left out. They had so much to build on

The only logic for Sukuna being a curse that I can come up with is this, Sukuna eating his brother in the womb led to him being born a curse. It makes sense as it seems Kenjakus plan was to recreate / create something stronger than Sukuna. If Sukuna is a curse , then he must be the curse of samsara. He eats and eats and eats and is never satisfied
Yuji said "not to curse someone, but to live with them"
This makes me think that Sukuna's later statement "I'm a curse" isn't saying that he's a Cursed Spirit, but that he's the kind of "curse" Yuji was talking about.

Pretty disappointed with the ending of JJK, it’s a series I’ve been reading since the week chapter 1 dropped so I had some set of expectations and it did not live up to those. Was great fun regardless of how I feel about the ending though, I’ll remember this series for quite some time.

I was expecting less of the shounen happy ending and more of the realistic you can’t always win ending. I had some set of expectations in my head it was “darker” but that’s mainly my fault to be fair. I don’t hate the series either I quite like it actually there’s just a few things that ruin the ending for me.
*SPOILERS BELOW*
My main issues with the series in no particular order are
1. Fushiguro wasn’t really fleshed out or used to his full potential, he was hyped up to be a rival to Gojo and after Sukuna took over he took a major backseat.
2. Nobara should be dead after all this time and no hints at her being alive besides that one guy saying the chance she’s alive isn’t 0, feels very much like an ass pull so all the friends can live happily ever after in the end which as I stated were the opposite of my expectations for this series.
3. Yuji and his abilities as a fighter have grown exponentially in these last 35 chapters compared to how they did in the rest of the series.
4. Yuta comes back to life in Gojos body so GeGe could use Gojos abilities in the fight still.
5. Sukunas defeat felt cheap in some ways after all this hype and build up, I feel after he killed gojo he should’ve won personally.
6. Hakari being completely off screened after all that build up with his character.
7. Higuruma was built up to be this character that’s not strong himself but his ability allows him to win any fight if he can meet certain conditions which he did in the fight with Sukuna but it did nothing so that hype felt hollow or meaningless in a way.
8. Uraume didn’t get fleshed out at all.
These are the main issues I have off the top of my head and again to clarify I still enjoy JJK there’s many things i liked. I thought Kenjaku was handled well, I thought Maki was handled well, I thought Gojo was handled well until everything with him and Yuta, I thought Yuta was handled well until everything with him and Gojo just the rushing to the end and it being happy ever after I’m not a huge fan of because I expected quite literally the opposite.

Fushiguro's potential is shown in the Gojo fight, aside from his being possessed it is now a sign of just how powerful he can be.
Nobara coming back becomes more plausible once we look at the fact that Yuta taking over Gojos body was achieved, they really took a dead body.
Yuji has been exponential, he mastered things in a few days that would usually take a long time, even his almost tapping into Black Flash as if it is done intentionally is a sign that he has a well of potential.
Gojo's takeover works narratively for Yuta and may give us more information about Kenjaku in the coming chapters.
Sukuna fought the world, and all the plans that could be made and he almost won, the reread might feel better.
Hakari is a stalemate but it's unfortunate.

Since rika is technically an empty vessel, her true soul having moved on to heaven already, it would be hillarious to me if gojo or yuta got his soul plopped in rika and theyre just stuck together like a bad buddy cop movie XD
Unfortunately Gege's hatred of Gojo marred the entire ending of the series.
It’s pretty unfortunate that Gege didn’t have the chance to fully give everything a proper ending, you can tell it’s rushed
I think he lost motivation for it he dragged the fight to long didn’t know how to end it after that so he does this half baked ending

In chapter 10 Sukuna says “don’t look up at me” and Yuji says “get down here so I can look down on you,” and here we get Yuji looking down on him. Just like last chapters Black Flash had Sukuna making the same long sad face him and Uraume made fun of Yuji for after Shibuya

5. whatever yuji said "u are me" to sukuna made 0 sense and it is a weak effort to tie it back to the yuji vs mahito scene. in no way does yuji's character resembles sukuna at all.
6. uraume still glazing sukuna even when he died. she keeps moving the goalpost. "when sukuna is in his final form, none can defeat him." and then "had sukuna been the same as 4000 yrs ago, u guys are cooked" ok bud.
7. what happened to the merger? gege forgot?
8. sukuna's death is super anti-climatic. i was hoping sukuna vs megumi's 10 shadows and yuji's soul punch which then lead to sukuna's death. but nah, we got wtv the hell this is.
jjk went from a 9/10 to a 7/10 in my books. terribly executed death of the biggest villian in modern anime history.
megume laughing at gojo killing toji makes sense. for one gojo his actual dad blood or not two apparently his dad tried to kill him and he had no idea three toji cared the bare minimum for megumi

Naw don’t know where you been but I would say 60% or more anime/manga ending have always been bad no matter the generation. Only like 1% anime have an actual good ending. With that context JJK ending is actually good.

gojo when he was almost assasinated by toji said, i am alive just because you didnt chop off my head , and when sukuna killed him , he torned him in half , so there is a chance he might make the comeback of the centuary. plus geto when his dead body was being manipulated by kenjaku a slight portion of his soul still resonated and resisted kenjakus body control , so theoritcally gojos body / soul could prove too powerfull for even yuta okkotsu to handle.

All that setup for the culling games with no payoff. What about Tengen? Gojo left dead for no reason (maybe). Sigh… I haven’t had a satisfying ending to a manga since Demon Slayer and that wasn’t all that great either. Hopefully, Oda will live long enough to give us a proper ending to one piece.
uraume has preservation abilities. might be she just lifted the technique cause theres no purpose to existing anymore now that her masters gone.
The only thing I really regret is that we'll probably never know what happens if a binding vow between people gets broken. I would have loved to see the cosmic consequences ensuing from that.

After rereading the whole fight the pacing of it was excellent. Sukuna didn't feel like a binding vow merchant at all
this ending fills rushed. i’m honestly not satisfied with how Sukuna does and we’ll never no how strong Megumi could be .
The thing that always gets me about these mangas where characters are in high school is the fact that they become the most powerful people in the universe in their first year but then have to go on and finish school for another 3 years.

I would not be surprised if the manga ends like this: in a reversal of the JJK 0 movie, Kenjaku uses the intricacies of his CT to take over Yuta and begin the Merger, leading to a movie in which everyone else has to defeat Kenjaku and his merger monster.

i highly doubt that. we are already shown that megumi is back and he is on our side and the merger didn't happen, how and why will be explained next chapter i assume. i also thought kenny would make a comeback with all that "my will will be inherited" bs and after it was explained that if something heals, yuta loses that copied ability, in combination with his mind hop seemingly ending before the timer was off but seeing as there are three chapters left, i doubt it and i'm even more certain that jjk won't be getting a sequel. i know they will preassure gege to do one but he seems ready for something new, at least judging by some of his comments of how he feels about things he thinks he did wrong in jjk.

Dude critics do not need to be able to replicate what they criticize to criticize it. I can say that this story went straight downhill with its writing and I can easily, EASILY posit a dozen different endings that would have been much more satisfying. Even if I'm not Akutami, I've read his story and fully understand his characters as he has portrayed him. This ending has already snuffed many explanations, rushed endings, even brought back nobara in a lame and emotionally empty way, and has 3 more chapters left to continue doing all of those things to the rest of the plot points that are left wide open. If this is how it's going, I just wish it was over already. Gege super dropped the ball, which is shocking considering JJKs popularity. You would've thought it impossible, but he did it somehow.

Being a mangaka requires drawing skills and a infernal schedule. Most of the people reading, would not be able to keep that schedule and draw consistently at the same level. Those are the things that cannot be done. But, story wise, consistency wise....if basic logic combined with creativity exists, better ideas arise. So yes, people should call out that it is shitty when someone has a more consistent idea, because a story is meant to get people invested.These people invest time. Time costs money, and if the story is bad in a stupid way that is obvious even to a rock, then the author should be called out because people lost time for nothing(and no, the don't watch it if you don't like it argument doesn't work in this case.After something does some things good, you get attached or at least hope that it will be worth it).
