Tatra 805 / heavy offroading in the forest #1

Do you think that she is almighty? Some heavy offroading with Tatra 805 equipped with Audi engine - inline 5 cylinder engine, added power stearing, power brakes, different bed and some other modifications. Forest in Czech Republic, Europe.

This is a unique chassis concept which originated in the 1920s and has not yet been rivalled. The main principle is the use of a central load-carrying tube and axles with independently suspended swinging half-axles bolted together into a single unit.

Aprox. 3000kg. There are lot of other modifications then the engine conversion. The main one (from "weight" point of view) is aluminium bed.

Really really enjoyed it. Laughed towards the end, to find you also laughing. Our woods are too fragile to drive over the rooting systems for fun, and even heavy foresting machinery risks damage and potential fungal attaks.
You appear to have a sturdy forest there.
If it had been original, would that have not been as capable?

tušim, že to mělo zhruba stejně. byl to taky řadovej pětiválec. bacha na spojku, nech tam originál, ta z audi to nepřežije.
nejlepší zkušenosti mám zatim s Fordem 2,8 V6 Scorpio. ten je v aktuálnim projektu a jezdí to neskutečně

(i need it to be less than 3500 kg to be able to drive it with drivers license B...)
