    EXCELLENT VIdeo !!! I shared the video with my class, math class that is, showing how we use " Average" weights to load correctly, So this was an excellent way to teach them, 24 years ( myself) hauling cattle and never knew I would ever do this, so like I said "excellent" So thank you

      Yep you gotta know the average weights so you get the right count in each compartment. Don't want any axle weight tickets.

    My family has owned multiple Stockyards in Alabama until just a few years ago when we decided to get out of the salebarn business. Anyway I've spent a million hours loading trucks after the sale and the days after. Most of those times in the middle of the night. I just wish all the Truck drivers would have been as helpful as you loading. The inside of a cattle trailer is an easy place to get hurt. Be safe and good job.
    I just realized I must miss it if I'm watching RUclips videos about loading cattle lol.

      Hey another fun fact you can think of when you see the murder trucks! They are all children, less than 3 years old, they are terrified, freezing or boiling today in there depending on the weather, they are most likely claustrophobic from being slammed up against the walls, having trouble standing or being stomped on because they are not used to traveling for countless hours in a truck that is throwing them all over the place, they are missing their children and family that they have been separated from, they are desperate to escape and they dont want to die, the next several hours of their trip they will be enduring pure horror up until their final moments where they get a bolt in the head or their necks slit and bleed out slowly, the smell of death pulling up to a slaughterhouse is unlike anything I have ever experienced in my life, say a prayer for those children instead of enjoying them like an attraction

      Thats a calf not a cow,a cow is a female adult cow,he is also a steer meaning he is castrated.

    • @cindywilson6520
      @cindywilson6520 4 года назад

      @@SirHuddy I think you're looking for the term heifer for most of these are young and have not calved.only become cow after having multiple calves. If only calves once and fed for slaughter are also known as heiferitte.

    Cool video, how do you’ll cattle haulers get you’lls shipping papers? Is it something you have to write on ticket books the company gives you or does the customer where you load the cattle provide the shipping papers for you?

    • @shanestone3982
      @shanestone3982  4 года назад +3

      Hector Santos
      It varies from hauler to hauler. I own my own truck and my own trucking company so I do have my own bill of lading with my company name and my info on it. Sometimes my customers, the rancher/ cattle man has their own bill of lading that they prefer me to use. As a bull hauler these cattle belong to my customers, so I’m providing a customer service. If they prefer their own bills of lading then we use theirs. As far as what’s written on the bills it’s a simple count of the cattle loaded, type of cattle (bulls, heifer, bread heifer etc) where loaded and destination.

      its safest for the cattle actually to loaded body to body.. if you load too loose they can fall and get stepped on potentially breaking a leg or hip and having to be put down.

      There is more room than people think. Most trailers are 53 ft long 2 decks x amount of weight spread over 106 ft.

    • @SirHuddy
      @SirHuddy 5 лет назад

      zebrafreak971 thats not even that full,he cant fill up more due to his weight,his trailer is only a dual axle not a tri or a tri with an extra drop down axle.Reason why you normally keep them compacted in a liner is because for safety,if they can move around alot it can be unsafe for the cattle and the public.If there is alot of room an animal could fall and get stepped on (breaking legs etc) and trailers are tall if you have alot of room to move around on top deck it becomes an unstable trailer which can make them flip alot easier.

    How would u remember all of that and that trailer has a massive amount of space

    • @tannertaylor9432
      @tannertaylor9432 3 года назад

      Its simple math, each deck holds a certain weight limit. You take the weight limit of the trailer divid it by the weight of the cattle. That gets you the number for each compartment
