  • Aaron Rodgers said he is 90% himself and 10% “unsure what’s going on with my body”. He also said that “if I didn’t think (the New York Jets) could win a Super Bowl and I could win MVP, I wouldn’t be playing.” Chris Broussard loves this mindset, and Nick Wright and Kevin Wildes react to the extension of Justin Jefferson by the Minnesota Vikings.

    The argument with Jefferson is bad. He’s not your run of the mill first round receiver, he’s a hall of famer (talent wise). If there were 4-5 MHJ level talents every year, it would be different, but there isn’t, so it’s not. Last 2 NFC Super Bowl teams have rookie QBs surrounded with paid weapons - it’s actually advantageous.

      @dreame6397 25 дней назад +1

      @@dillMANbaby that’s where I disagree. The NFL has nothing to do with winning titles. In fact most owners don’t give a damm. Winning rings matters most to coaches and players. And with only 1 team that wins every year, focusing on building a team is idiotic because now you have a starless team and getting bounced in the playoffs. The Cowboys have like 2 playoff wins since 95, yet they are the most valuable franchise in sports. This market has never seen a winning Dallas team, yet sells are the highest around the league.

    You can absolutely have large amounts of "first round grade receivers" and the veteran receiver market be expensive at the same time with both sides being "right". The bust rate on first round receivers is fairly high. That doesn't make selecting them "wrong" in terms of process, it just means it is a gamble at a high value position.

    Nicks gotta stop using the Chiefs as the standard for how to build a team. While you would like to build a team like them, you need a mahomes to build around. Every other team doesnt have a mahomes, so they are going to need actual pieces at WR to make up for it. WR is a tough draft position as you have so many guys who look great in college who get drafted and kind of underwhelm. If you get your draft not just right, but knock it out of the park with a JJ, Ceedee, or chase and you dont have an expensive QB or other pieces demanding top dollar, its a good time to hold on to your guy.

    😂😂😂 What made zero sense was that the NFL every year had numerous QB draft bust yet the QB pay kept going up. The players that were being underpaid were any Superstar player who didn't play QB. Now the market is reflecting who should really be getting paid and that's the actual talent on each team regardless of position. Also that's hilarious that Daniel Jones is still going to get paid more than Jefferson. That in itself should let you know that the QBs have been getting overpaid. Only Mahomes actually deserves QB MONEY. Josh Allen should be getting paid somewhere around what Jefferson is getting paid

I watch the show because it’s entertaining, but to pretend Nick is consistent is absolutely absurd. And if you think the guy believes everything he says is to believe he’s either really dumb (thinking the Chiefs will go 20-0, Lakers will sweet the Nuggets last year/win this year) or he’s playing up his “character” for entertainment purposes because he knows people will tune in to see how he uses mental gymnastics to spin out his way out of being proven wrong.
