93 Confirmed Kills is one of the first books I ever read regarding military stories when I was a kid. I actually got in quite a bit of trouble whilst giving a book report on it for being a too graphic. I'm glad to see The "White Feather" get his due on your channel. Looking forward to your next production.
I'm just a civilian, but I've watched enough of the Fat Electrician's channel to where whenever I hear the words " chain of command "and " brilliant idea " in the same sentence, I start to panic😂
I remember hearing about Gunny Hathcock during marksmanship training on Parris Island some 47 years ago. Well, chief "Once a Marine, Always a Marine". Semper Fi! USMC 1976-1992
Semper Fi brother I’m retired Navy Corpsman who served 13 of my 20 years with the Corps. Thank you for your service. Keep up the great work and stay safe out there.
Had a relative who retired from the Navy after his 20 years as an O-5 Commander in Submarines, I am sure his officer grade retirement pay is vary good.
The more I learn about Mr. hathcock, the more I think he had to have been on the autism spectrum. There is no way someone like this doesn't have autism. I may be wrong, but every single person I have met that is on the spectrum is very good at one thing and only one thing. Some can name every single train in existence, and others are huge history buffs. Haven't met one who is an incredible marksman yet, but I can't say for certain that they aren't out there.
My brother was a sniper for the 101st Airborne (I know it’s not as good as a Marine sniper, but it’s something). My brother has never spoken about anything he did as a sniper (he will not talk about it), but he did say that he will not miss the pain that the front of his hips felt after being in the prone position for a week.
I have a charms story my buddy was on a route patrol in Iraq in a Humvee and a PVT kept his charms secret from everyone else in the Humvee, Then the Humvee hit an IED my buddy ended up losing his leg due to surgeries from injuries sustained from that IED and every one else by a miracle came out with some scrapes and busted eardrums and a concussion. Buddy is ok now and everyone jokes him being halfway to being a pirate and we whole heartedly believe charms are cursed.

As a 90's baby, the thing that still haunts me to this day(As I learn secret service stuff) is the amount of boys that "Just got" their rewards and acknowledgements... THERE WERE A LOT ... What greater honor is there than knowing that YOU DID WHAT YOU DID not for rewards, but to lower the casualties by JUST one... To this day, EVERY VET has my respects! To this day I regret not going because of bs ... Where were our "Hero's", oh nm .... The government's to blame... Makes sense...
Back when my Dad was a British Army Para, graduating from the Royal Marine run Sniper School was regarded as an "Adqual" (additional qualification) like being a helicopter pilot. Sadly, my Dad never did either (He only got about an hour as exposure to flying a Wessex) but he made sure I knew about Hathcock and would always point out when movies recreated amazing stuff he did for real.
When the chain of command gets involved instead of asking, "what can go wrong?" you should be asking "what will still be correct?" It'll be a much shorter list.
I can see that being true about Mr. Rogers. Anyone who could stay that calm and relaxed dealing with little kids must be used to dealing with officers who are also clueless to what's going on in the real world. I'm going to say not true, but would make sense
Is it just a bunch of people on a payroll for reaction channels? this is my first time seeing AmericansLearn but I've seen a ton of Chicago Reacts, and I kindve enjoy the rotation of people reacting. Getting to see different perspectives and ways of thinking is pretty cool. I'm only seeing just the 2 of em while scrolling the discography, so is it just them for this channel? That's pretty dope, keep up the great work. really making the concept of reacting enjoyable again, instead of playing a video live to however many people and then walking away and not adding anything of value. In the wise words of Will Smiths "Hancock": Good Job! (that's a good meatball)
I consider Hathcock as one of the first modern snipers, for me personally though he wasnt the best, that will always be Simo Hayha, sniping people from 5 to 700 meters away with iron sights.
Lt Land bought the initial rifles used by the sniper detachment at the Navy Exchange on Okinawa. That was prior to the US to the US government shafting the Okinawa natives by changing them from a US territory and gave the island back to Japan. Okinawans are not of Asian descent but are Polynesians and the Japanese never let them forget that and still some of them are holding a grudge against us. The Marines have bases on the island that control most of the area and are the biggest employer there.
My oldest uncle was a marine in Vietnam and also had MS. ...I also have MS, and lemme tell ya, it ain't fun. Spent four months of 2021 literally living like an infant.
Now the actor Lee Marvin was a WWII Marine Corp Scout/Sniper and was wounded in action and discharged before the end of the war with a 100% medical disability. Actually well documented.
Before anybody brings up Captain Kangaroo trying to claim that he was some kind of combat hero. No. He did serve but, he was in the reserves, served in logistics and never left mainland US.
Pappy Boyington and the blacksheep squadron is definitely on the list. Thanks for watching
The myth the legend himself. Hope you're havin' a great day!
Can’t wait, always stoked for a new video

This is outstanding news. As a kid I watched the rerun series way back in the day. Can't wait for the video. Take your time and all the best.

“Lieutenant” and “map” is bad, too!
The plan works on paper, what could possibly go wrong?

My cousin joined the Marines he got trained to repair the F-35 his first assignment was a squadron with F/A-18’s
I have MS this just makes me respect him more because I know how hard that is to fight
Hey kit you should react to electricians video on “Willis Ching Lee”

Keep up the great reactions. I'm glad the length of the vid didn't stop you from covering it!

TFE and Pew View reenacted the scope shot on "Pew View" channel.
I've watched it and the comments on the video some I saw before they got removed for "spicy" content and I was like Yikes
54:25 Well, in that alternate dimension, “Going to the neighborhood” has quite a different meaning.
No idea how you can be a former veteran, but I love these videos!
love the content and reactions keep up the amazing work 🙏
I love how Chapter 6 is just "I Can Prove It". Hell yeah, TFE, hell yeah.
Thank You Carlos... Also chickens are girls.. Roosters are boys.. We can get you pictures😂😂 Love your channel
Ngl, you mentioning Mr. Rodgers being a sniper immediately made me think that just before he fired he would be like:
"Hello neighbor."
*BANG*
That is the truth!!! All the sea stories are true. This sailor says all the sea stories are true!
Charms are evil but make great slingshot ammo
The hi-speed footage in the original video is amazing. Go look at it well worth it ! Always thought the Mythbusters seriously fecked it up

I just watched an episode of "Baa Baa Black Sheep" in which Pappy Boyington himself played a general.

I have that book "Marine Sniper" within reach of where I'm sitting right now.

There is no such thing as an ex or former Marine. Once a jarhead always a jarhead. Semper Fi jarhead.
By the way US Navy Submarine Service veteran here. Once a bubblehead always a bubblehead.

Sir you got it wrong YOU'RE NOT A former Marine once a marine always a marine
No such thing as a former marine, cousin. Fair winds and following seas.
Mythbusters not really Myth Busting at all. They did not follow the details and as usual skimped.
I *LOVE* the Mythbusters but even I and my limited knowledge on guns still believe they fucked up that myth hard.
Sorry but, Mr Rogers never served a day in any branch of the military.
I’m fairly certain he knows that. That was just a popular internet theory for years
Bob Ross, on the other hand…
@@theKRUGMEISTER There was a Bob Ross in the Marines in Vietnam but, Bob Ross the artist was in the Air Force primarily in Alaska.

Constructive criticism here. You are peaking your microphone every time you speak. Some setting is incorrect, and it is pretty badly incorrect.
Sorry, but Mr. Rogers was 4F and never served in the military...
