No question about it. McGrath went from 10 wins and title #7 in 2000 to only 2 wins and 2nd overall behind Carmichael in 2001, while Ricky ran away with the race wins left, right and center 14 times.
@@MathewVsSportsMediaandGames and than 2002...3 podiums and 100 Points behind Carmichael...it still Hurts a little. But damn He was riding the best looking Yamaha ever in 2002 :D
@@backwithabang5842 No question about it. Although, McGrath DID come into 2002 injured (curve in his back between the shoulder blades). Yeah, 2002 was a VERY painful season to witness regardless. McGrath was struggling physically, and having trouble obtaining a salary from Yamaha (supposedly). The worst part was that he gave away about 3 race wins that season because he wouldn't change his lines or conditioning did him in. Even worse for Yamaha was watching David Vuillemin throw his dream season down the toilet by skipping the Daytona race due to his shoulder injury.
I was there, damn it was cold, haha, just wait till Denver this weekend.
Lucky you that you were there. Denver may be cold, but I'll bet Salt Lake 2010 or '11 had to have been close to cold there.
Jeremy McGrath greatest Supercross champion of all time
I won't doubt that at all -- especially since he has 7 of them
Damn, how dominant He was in 2000...Just to get asskicked by RC in 01..no one saw that coming.
