I’ve had my drz400e for about a year now, awesome bike but I’m still getting the hang of it on tough tracks, in the nicest way possible it encouraging as to see you blokes stalling, sliding, having the bike jump left right and centre, breathing shakily, dropping the bike and most of all walking down the tough sh*t and still having a great time. Great vid. Edit: the more I watch to more I relate 👌 great job
Another great vid..glad I found your channel. Yeah the Drz can be a handful on tight rocky trails for sure.Good to see you guys encouraging each other through and going for it!
proud oif you guys for tackling this rugged terrain. I will say that the commitment needs to be there. Dangling feet will make you pay all the time. Get those feet on the pegs boys! You got this!
Fun to watch you guys. Great group and great personalities. I’ll enjoy the videos but would pass on going with you. I have many hours on this type of challenging terrain, 30+ years ago, lol, now I want easy trials. You guys got one heck of a workout
At the point where the guy throws his arms up in the air it’s so funny I was pissing myself ... awesome video epic gnarly trails hats off to all of you. Thanks 🙏
I've got an 02 model. Haven't been on it in over 2 years but after watching this I've got to get it out. I suck at off road riding, I'm way too tense when riding. Great video
Nice work ! It's good to see you helping everyone with their bikes on the trickier sections- Good on ya 👍 That's what it's all about getting out with a few mates, working together and enjoying the ride
This video just sold me on the drz400. I was looking at both the crf250l and the wr250 and seeing this changed my mind. I thought maybe the smaller displacment and newer technology (fuel injection) would give them an edge on the trails. The drz is such a tractor. Way to make complex trails look easy.
I ride my DRZ 400e on single track in cumberland BC and guys are pretty surprised at how well the bike tractors especially up the steep hills. So much fun! Some great technical riding...
For sure. I rode Moab Utah with stock gearing on my DRZ 400s and was clutching like you guys. I'm going with a 14/48 sprocket for my trip this April. Should be much improved in the right stuff. Love ur videos!
This really shows the difference between a skilled rider and just starting out. I can totally relate to getting exhausted because the terrain is above your skill level. Unfortunately been there, done that!
You guys need a Rekluse clutch, no more stalling. Go one on my drz400s couldn't imagine not having one, game changer. Clutch lever still works if you need it too
What an epic ride. Well done Steve. Btw, I thought you where the Psycho, but your brother takes it to another level. Lol. Just send it he does. Well done to all the riders, and a well produced Vid, m8. Dougie. ;)
@@BrokenSprocket I do miss it. I really got to understand that bike and get a lot out of it. I may not return to Enduro though. Lets see what the future holds.
I don’t think the 2000 model has electric start. I wouldn’t want to be trying to kick it halfway up a hill stuck in a rut. For mine...push button is the way to go!
I had a drz 400 and had the same problem of just being a bit to short. Because they are so heavy sometimes its easier to to drop it then save it from falling. Also a tip i was given thay helped me a lot was to stand up as much as you can when going up hills, it just got the weight up a bit more on the rider and not the bike.
Another really cool video I think I would have taken the same line as your brother on that rock it's always fun having some inexperienced riders I would have loved to see that rockfall
Thanks mate yeah I didn't think much of the DRZ when I first seen one kind of look ugly lol but the more I ride one the more I love them very capable bike and I would buy one for sure..
Noticed the NSW plates, where do you ride? Also, rando question, whats the fuel light on the front fender @ 3:05? my E has the provisions for something there but I have no idea what (DW just realised you were riding an RMX)
Ya Steves bike was way too high alright, it was literally throwing him off of it😲, good job sticking with it and know your limits👍. Good seeing how your guys worked out the problem. Gotta love a DRZ heh. 🥰 I see you followed up with a how to shave your seat vid after this 🤣🤣 Tx4V
Great bike Add the Athena 434 cylinder kit, MRD SSW Pro full exhaust system, Get the suspension revalved, 3mm longer shock, heavier springs front & rear, bar risers, armour the Ag bike up & it’s an all round weapon
love the video you blokes made me laugh. See itjst goes to show doesnt mater what bike you have its knowin how to use it. Those drzs alot of people hang shit on them . i have one and suits my style of rideing. Keep the vids coming really good stuff.
It is unstoppable! That short stroke piston will fire even if the sparkplug was the other side of the road! So forgiving, you can go too slow, in too high a gear and that beauty will keep turning over so you can get going again. When all other bikes have stalled, from 2 strokes to GS1200s. Nothing can remain firing like a DRZ400.
really enjoyed the video seem like a really good bunch of blokes. as a newbie to trail biking i’m looking at the same suzuki drz400, i’m 6’4 110kgs, it seems like a good multi purpose bike for me. would u agree ? thanks in advance.
Hey Steve I noticed there's a taillight on the rmx450z. Is there a way to wire a brake light switch to it? You seem like the guy to ask about rmx stuff. Cheers
OK, I have to ask - How bad was the shoulder and how long were you off?? Dislocated mine last year (4/2020), had open bankart surgery and still working kinks out (4/2021)
I've had surgery on my left shoulder not fun but so far I've not had surgery on the right shoulder just doing lots of exercises to hold it in and I use a shoulder brace when riding

Second time riding and he made it through that shit? I'm impressed.👍
It was a struggle in parts but fun.
For real id be exhausted i ride a kick start kx 450 that shit would have me drained
2nd time egg riding that bike
i wanted a drz before I watched this, but man i want one now...
I finally got one turned out better handling then thought

There great bike for shredding trails but there weight is definitely a fight on technical areas

Exciting Stuff! Not scared to give it a Go! Proud of you guys!
Drz's are simply the best!!!
Had a used one for 12 years and apar the weight was simply the Best, powerful and Reliance bike you Can own...
Yeah mate DRZ400E is a proven performer.

Nice job Steve, I loved the comment “I’ve got a bit of anxiety, wait!” Great to see how the different bikes handled the same hills and obstacles.
Haha yeah that was my favourite part also. Thanks for watching...
Those are gnarly trails!! great vid!!
Came back to watch this vid. Love you Aussies attitude. U guys don’t fuck around
what a good vid, that rock avalanche was crazy, could you imagine this happening while on the trail
Yeah glad I missed that one lol.
Nice work lads. Awesome vid Steve. That Fire trail at the end is where its at!
Thanks Nigel it's a sweet fire trail bit dry though 😉👍

Best part is you can ride home, love it.
Just back from a great weekend forest riding on my “new” 2003 DRZ400E. Got me places I wasn’t confident going! Exhilarating!
There a great bike.
Good fun m8. Just bought a drz and am watching this to pass the time till the snow melts up here in Canada!
Haha it's starting to cool down here now but unlike you winter over here is prime time for riding. Have a great summer mate.

Reminds me of my old dizzer! JD jet kit really helped down low. Looking for a KTM500.

Great job as always Mr sprocket. Man Suzuki should send you guys some bikes to review...

this video convinced me that the drz is exactly what I need. not spending an extra 3,000 on a 450L. One hell of a machine

I really enjoyed watching fellow trail muppets mucking about in the bush.
DRZ HAD THAT FLYING SIDEWAYS ONE LEG FREE ATTACK. IT LOOKED LIKE TAE KWAN DO. AND DID HE DO IT TWICE ON DIFFERENT BIKES!!!
Yeah he did it twice once on Steve's DRZ and on his RMX450Z
Couple of lemons going through the bush. Looks like fun ride 👍 Would like to see you blokes explore the dry creek.. could be entertaining 😂
Thanks mate dry creek hmmm theres a idea.
