Great channel! I'm ready to pull the trigger on picking up a pair of these boots but am hesitant on sizing between 9.5 and 10 M US. I've been rockin NB Tekela 1.0 Pros for a long time in a size 10 and they've been my favorite boot by far for a long time. I picked up the Copa Sense .1 in the same size and over the course of a month of training and pick up games, I could not get those boots to break in around the midfoot and the lacing system doesn't adjust well enough for my wide feet. I end up going back to the Tekelas for any real matches and had planned to wear them until they fall apart 😆 You think 9.5 in Asics would be the move or 10 to play it safe?

Just honestly wish Asics football boots make a return back to the European/North American markets and do think they can fill in the niche audience area. Whether it’s football boots or sneakers/running shoes I just think Asics really do incredibly well with their footwear products. My girlfriend can attest to that since everyday running shoes are a pair of Asics. They’re heavily heavily slept on the football boots arena. The DS Light X-Fly 4 was one of my heavily rotated boots. Seeing the X-Fly 5 from you I’m definitely interested about this since I’m due to replace my legend 9 elites.

Mois Tect won't really affect the boots that much at all mate, regardless of whether it's there or not. It acts the same way that ACC does - basically nonexistent but good marketing. I would treat the boots with whatever leather food you have!

They used to have a full leather upper boots in the form of the testimonial boots. Can’t find these boots for some times now. If you know Alessandro Nesta you would know he used to wore them along with David Beckham when he first stated his career before moving to adidas
Asics really need to sell their football boots outside of Asia. And invest some money into sponsorships and endorsement deals. The quality is there and they have a great product. It just needs wider promotion and exposure

Hey Noah buddy, I got wide feet especially at the toe box area and I got the tiempo legend 9 elites in UK 7.5 and the length is practically spot on as I wanted a tight fitting boot (I usually wear UK 8s like you). However the toe box area is a bit cramp and i felt although going up half a size may solve the problem, I wont get that perfect length. Does the x fly 5 have a larger toe box room compared to the tiempo's? If not, which other boot will give me that larger toe box area for the same length? I looked through other of your videos (big fan) and I recalled you mentioned the morelia 2 may have a larger toe box also. Any other recommendations? Thanks!
"speed boot" is a relative term for both those boots mate, it's more that they both have a similar construction. It's up to personal preference at the end of the day! 🔥

Yes, the X fly 5 has a much more forgiving toe box! I reckon you'll be just fine
