@@rrao1128 Your concern is same as mine...those rear studs are insane long. Have you tried reducing the length of those rear studs? I'm still not set on keeping these (haven't yet worn them outside, but if I do, I'm going to reduce the rear stud length by about 25% using my belt sander, for use on AG.
@@ryangelardi7988 hey I have not reduced the wildly long back studs. Right now they are collecting dust in my closet because they aren’t safe on either of the AG fields I play on. Saving them for natural grass opportunities. I just wouldn’t want to sand them down unevenly myself, maybe an experienced shoe cobbler could do it?

THANKS FOR GREAT REVIEW! We just received our pair of X Fly 5 today and I think these will make the rotation! Looking for a long replacement for the Adidas 99.1 Leathers for my Son (he needs wide toe box); the 99.1s are phenomenal and we have a couple pairs, but he scrapes his toes hard when shooting with laces and the leather ends up tearing...I'm thinking this synthetic material on the X Fly 5 should hold up much better. My Son said these feel great on feet! Some additional thoughts. First, they doo seem to run about 1/4 long, but not quite enough for my Son to size down. Second, the synthetic material is fairly grippy on the ball (which we like). Lastly, the studs...those rear studs are long at 17mm of total height. Pretty much SG domain, which I love, because I was concerned the conical studs wouldn't be aggressive enough for the lousy FG he usually plays on. The fronts are average-ish at about 10.5mm. I'll likely take a Dremel and sculpt the studs into a more aggressive shape too, but that's simply because he will not play on AG more than a couple times/year.

Both are on the verge of being too short. 1/2 size up feels like a hot dog in a hallway. Question is if you wear Phantom in a 9 and these in 8.5, which are actually longer? Thanks!
Can you share tips for toenails care? I just started trying boots fitting true to size but toe nails are destroying my toes, it hurts a lot so I could only play half game and out for the rest.

That's NOT correct 🤝 The X Fly # is a DIFFERENT model to the X Fly Pro model. Different shape, similar construction, and completely different soleplate. I have reviews on both models

I am a broken record by this point.....but yet again.....why oh why does Asics not re-enter the Western market and invest some money in sponsorship and endorsement deals? They clearly have a high quality product (Asics generally make really good shoes) that is relatively different from what the big names are doing. I mean....they already sell their boots in Europe, South Africa etc....for rugby 🏉 🤷🤷🤷🤷.......I'm sure they could carve out a decent % of the market for themselves so long as they do some good marketing and sponsor an elite European team or two.
Hi Noah. I've had the Limited Edition Pros since September, and I love them. But I always preferred the look of the LE X-Fly 5s, so recently ordered a pair. I received them today, and there's a clear discolouration on the soleplate, which has gone a lot greener, and doesn't match the upper at all. I just wanted to ask if you'd heard of that happening? Maybe I just got really unlucky.

@rrao1128 oh, pretty easy to shorten evenly with a belt sander, should you have access to one. Surprising easy in fact.
Yes, vs the leather ones, this Ltd version is slightly wider n bigger in volume, that's why it feels more comfortable
