  • The Rev. Joseph E. Lowery, "Dean of the Civil Rights Movement," talks about encounters at a Nashville diner during efforts to desegregate the U.S. South. Lowery lived in Nashville in the early '60s where he served as an administrative assistant to Bishop Charles Golden of the Central Jurisdiction of the Methodist Church.
