On those Hand to Me/ Leave at door, do this. Text them a picture via chat, so you have proof of delivery, and they cannot say you didn't hand it to them. Some will try to scam DD and drivers with conflicting drop off instructions.
Oh and I make customer hold order if they come out. Don't get them in photo, but tell them you cannot complete your dash without a pic. Haven't had customer complain yet, and covers my azz

Where I live there are a bunch of large manufacturing warehouses. The instructions are always leave at my door, but they always meet me at the front of the building.

I got a real kick out of him being all frustrated when I called him and explained it to him then he came to the door but I refused to hand over the food until he had signed for it. All I could think of was: this man has tried to scam the system before but it's not happening with me. I even took a picture of the food one step down from him with his feet in the picture just to let him know I wasn't gonna be trifled with. Then I handed him the food with a smile and told him to have a wonderful day. I'm surprised he didn't leave me a bad review lol not that I would have cared.

It's not uncommon for seasoned dashers to request it from restaurants that regularly get bad orders. As far as I know DD doesn't really care unless the restaurant gives a negative reason as to why they barred a dasher from their restaurant.
Request it from their manager. Ask politely and make up a reason. They should have no problem with it especially considering they also deliver themselves.
Starbucks sucks especially in my area . They never acknowledge you and when they do your waiting for 10-15 minutes..I Think they do doordash orders last. That's why I dash in another area that doesn;t have starbucks!
Paint. Lots and lots of paint. Never had to pick up lumber. You'll get some heavy things once in a while but it's usually small things. You can only see what you're picking up after you accept the order. If it's lumber or something you can't fit in your vehicle, just unassign and put why.

i just try to keep 50+ acceptance rate ive noticed in my market dash now isnt worth it cus if it isnt busy u shouldnt be doing it but its almost always busy enough to dash when u want

Nutshell version is Chuck (who has little to no tolerance for stupidity) made critical remarks about stupidity at this Starbucks in some of his videos. Instead of listening and fixing the stupidity, the owner got butthurt about the criticism and retaliated by telling his employees to tell Chuck that he can’t record in the store anymore.
My ar went from 91-77 in one week because of Starbucks and McDonald’s. Was doing good but ended after three hours. Killer headache. But I got my 5 dd in today. And got my ar at 79.
Actually he's probably sick of the entitled attitudes of the employees that seem to not notice there are customers in their establishment and then take 20 minutes to pour a cup of coffee and grab a bagel.

Walmart is starting to send out orders all day long ASAP, as their solution to the Vinny Epidemic. No predictable time for orders. Also, starting random face id verification in the middle of shopping orders to eliminate some of the fake accts.
