This track is so damn good, what a catchy hook and excellent vocal sampling. Something about this channels Justice's album 'Cross' for me - was a huge fan of that album when it dropped and it still remains among my favorite ever. Judgement Bolt is just so focused and intense, really looking forward to the new album.
If anything id say its pretty similar to genesis in its layering (which, even though it doesn't sound like it, uses a very wide range of samples) and newjack in its sampling. maybe even phantom pt.1 (as you can tell by my PFP, I must be an expert in this field.)

At first I wasn't really a huge fan of the slow interlude, but after giving Darklife a listen through a couple times, it fits right in with the rest of the album. Blew it out of the damn park, dds!! Edit: This song is my most listened to song of 2022, literally such an incredible song. Perfect.

they usually sounds more funk oriented but this raw aggression of the beat and the usual vocals go hard…
They've used aggressive sounds in ITLLT, but this sounds like a mix of Faith in Persona and the darker albums
