Just imagine if they release a Nintendo Wii memorial edition. It will look just like the original launch white Wii which will include HDMI, it will come with every Wii game built in, well not every Wii title; only the most popular Wii games such as Wii sports and sports resort, Mario Zelda etc, all games remastered in 1080p. The Wii menu will look the same but it will be in 1080p as well. It will come with all of the original channels but remastered. Including the weather. It should have RUclips channel and Hulu etc just like Xbox and ps5. So basically just like how hey rereleased the NES and SNES
I personally have not tried to play online on the vwii but I do know that there are other online networks for like Mario kart and some other games all you would have to do to access these online networks is to put In the networks dns settings you can just search how to play online on vwii on RUclips there should be some other videos explaining the process and showing you the dns settings.
There could be a few reasons why your hard drive is not working I am using a hard drive with a with a Y-splitter and the hard drive has to be formatted in MRB and FAT32

You can but sd cards with a lot of storage cost more money for 30$ you can get a 1000 gb external hard drive and for 30$ you can get a 256 gb sd card

Any hard drive / usb should work as long as it’s formatted correctly for the Wii to read it
